I don't normally watch Eurovision, I heard this on Radio while travelling in Italy. I don't understand the language, did not know anything about the SanRemo uproar, the Eurovision selection or even who the artist was. I just heard it, it struck a chord, and it stayed with me. Questo ragazzo ha vissuto la sua infanzia in un quartiere di Milano chiamato Gratosoglio. Io lavoro nella scuola primaria in un altro quartiere chiamato Corvetto. L'utenza è il 70% famiglie straniere con figli nati in Italia... genitori separati e che vivono probabilmente situazioni simili a Mahmood quando era piccolo... penso che questa canzone mi abbia fatto aprire ancora di più gli occhi in quei contesti famigliari lontani dalla concezione della famiglia "unita e perfetta".
