@@LearnWithAbubakr there have been other Pakistani kids over the years who did something similar, and then they just disappeared. I never heard any Jewish kid scoring 50 A* in O-levels or whatever, but I see a lot of Jews winning Nobel Prizes in science. It is oxymoron when someone says that they would win Nobel Prize inshallah.

I thought I was the only one who picked up on the triviality of the achievement. I mean, don’t get me wrong, passing 34 GCSEs, many with A* results is incredible, and her commitment, hard work and time management is nothing short of commendable. A big well done to her (Masha’Allah). I’m also not against studying a variety of subjects, including those outside of one’s main area of interest, as education only expands the mind and helps one think ‘out of the box’, even though 34 sounds excessive 😅. BUT despite all this I sensed this was partly done for the sake of achieving some world record and I wonder what it come at the cost of? There are only 7 days in the week and 24 hours in the day (many hours we spend in recovery i.e. sleeping!). There’s always a cost with such extreme endeavours. I hope this young lady and her mother realise the importance of certain life skills that no academic qualification can buy. Other than that, I felt a bit uncomfortable with the whole ‘the British education system didn’t cooperate with us’ stance. Talk about a sense of entitlement! There’s also a fine line between confidence and arrogance…this snapshot interview doesn’t give enough away but I hope she stays on the right side 🙏🏽
