This first attempt of flying a vintage RC bi-plane. Not sure if the maker. Maybe Hangar 9? Maybe Black Horse? Lol. I don't think so. Our apologies for the crummy audio.
So many people don't seem to even bother to check, and maybe they don't know to check basic trim issues like this. Of course it is the CG, it's massively too far aft.
It is a Honker Bipe by Southwestern Sailplanes and later Marks Models. I had one in the 80's powered by an O.S. 25. It flew okay. Yours seems to be tail heavy. The plans show the CG located 3 inches back from the leading edge of the upper wing. Southwestern also made a 1/2A powered monoplane that used the same wing. It was a blast to fly.
Thank you for letting me know. I knew someone would recognize this plane. I actually have it repaired and ready to fly again. I'll make the adjustments and it will be in the air again.
LoL Captian Blaz, Salute eh. It is a old Honker Bi Plane kit plane. It seemed the CG was off some. Perhaps a touch of nose weight if the battery was the issue. Enjoyed watching and remember what goes up must come down, Sometimes with grace and and sometimes not.
Yes I love the Petrinic Brothers RC from Slovenia and I have been following them for 7 years and I enjoy their humor as well as their flying. Well you had the Biplane flying for a couple minutes anyways and it looks like after changing out the broken Propeller you will be able to give this beautiful Airplane another flight attempt soon. Happy RC Flying Guys 😊💯🛩👍
Thank you. I was just looking ai it today. I had a cheap receiver in there as well in going to switch out. Not sure if that did anything, but just in case. It will be in the air again soon. Thank you for watching.
Lol. It was something. I actually thought I was going to get it down. Everyone keeps commenting on the CG, but apparently, they didn't pay attention. I mentioned CG was dialed in. I think the problem was that there was too much travel in the servos, and I was using some cheap knockoff receiver. I was getting delayed movement in all the servos. The plane had since been repaired with new electronics. We'll do a part 2. Thank you for watching.
@@2BrothersAdventures-kg3dx haha yeah I see that bud and it looked that way but as you say later you mentioned cg was bang on lol they obviously didn't watch it all. Ding ding round 2 🤣🤣🤣👌🏼
@@2BrothersAdventures-kg3dx did you have expo as well bud? Could be dodgy servo playing up under load or a bit of latency with crap rx. You can do a glide test before flight chuck it into wind and see how she floats with no power
THat plane may be the reason he got out of the hobby. whos bloody idea was it to line the edge of the runway with concrete designed to stop 15 ton trucks? That poor airplane
Yeah. Everyone is talking about the CG in these comments. I say it in the video that the CG was dialed in. You are correct in the throws. They were set way too high for that little plane. I probably don't have a delicate enough touch to fly this style of plane with that much movement.
Wow more people that don’t know how to use the English language. “They’re doing “. They are is what it stands for. Their would give possession to “doing “. I dont own doing. He might have spent more time in English class, and not flying airplanes. If you need more help speaking, every Thursday 8 pm eastern time. Thanks for watching
I’ve decided I should try to help and the only way to learn it practice. So we will try to fly better so you don’t get butthurt. But what I want from you is to do a little homework. Please look up the following, figure out the meaning and use them each in a sentence. Get back to me when you’re done. I gave you the first one (you’re vs your). You’re and your Two, too and to Are and our There, they’re and their Wait and weight Through and threw Waist and waste No and know Male and Mail Four and for Where and wear From the struggles it seems like you were having earlier I think that that’s plenty of homework to start. I don’t wanna overwhelm so get on those and again don’t forget every Thursday 8 o’clock Eastern time. Thanks for watching.
These aren't how-to videos. These are videos of us out in the field having fun. You taking it this seriously and getting upset over it is one of the reasons this hobby is dying off. The younger generation doesn't want to be around people like you. Take this video for what it is, entertainment. If you're not entertained, that's fine, but there is no reason to get upset about it. No one told you to watch the video. BTW... new videos every Thursday, 8:00 pm Eastern Time. God bless.
