ZUN's music isn't really arranged with any sort of breathing room or consideration for anything that isn't completely sequenced so the fact that you can manage it at all with that sort of proficiency even over multiple takes is still extremely amazing.
An early Christmas present, thank you Rich. Love this banger of a cover. Plus IN was the first Touhou game I got a normal clear, hard clear, extra clear, and lunatic clear.
What a classic, love how everything at 0:18 slowly falls away to highlight your solo, before diving straight into the melody! Always super impressed by these covers man. :D
I don't have to hear it from you to know this was incredibly difficult to pull off. When writing a lot of the Imperishable Night boss themes, it seems like ZUN tossed the plausibility of human replication out the window. Still certainly possible for a trained performer, but not practical for most. I wait each cover with eagerness.
there are a lot of "amateur" guitarists on youtube and other platforms that are more technically skilled and creative that many of the people that get put on "greatest guitarists of all time" lists but the world isn't ready for that conversation
That's not How it Works at all,it's not skill only,it's about "virtousity". Anyone can learn any song in any instrument with enough practice, but can they create a song in the same level as the one they played?NO That's why people like Marty Friedman, Dimebag, Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai, etc,are praised, they made good music,Not Just played it
The original version of this song is an intense, melodic masterpiece that shows off how powerful the Shrine Maiden of Gensokyo is. RichaadEB's version shows what happens when Reimu loses her patience and busts out Fantasy Heaven...cue the beatdown. What an amazing cover!
This is easily one of your best Touhou covers yet! I'd love to hear your take on either Eternal Shrine Maiden, Gensokyo Millennium, or the original Bad Apple!! from LLS.
What a sweet surprise! Reimu is one of my favorite video game protagonists ever, and hearing great covers of her theme songs is always nice. Merry Christmas, RichaadEB!
At this rate, we should start thinking about what the cover art for Bullet Hell III should be... In all seriousness, this was another amazing rendition! Can't wait to see what's next.
Jesus Christ, Rich. You did the thing, that big ass tap section during the intro was magical, it's the only thing I've ever actually wanted to hear you do and it was as perfect as I had imagined. I'm still scooping up the shattered pieces of my jaw. I knew it was gonna be fantastic, but this was off the chain man, you continue to outdo yourself time and time again. This is, without question, the most competent cover of Capriccio out there that I've come across, and by a fairly huge margin. I can die happy now, thank you. 🙏
Genuinely one of the best arrangements of Maiden's Capriccio I've ever heard. Really appreciate you covering all these Touhou songs. They're all fantastic.
Sorry, I can't get the Lyrica Live rendition of this out of my head, when Marisa sings Reimu's theme in a mocking way as she attempts to pick the lock of her collection box, only to provoke her wrath and they have a brief fight. (involving a Fantasy Seal and a Master Spark)
LET'S FUCKIN' GOOOOOOOO Despite this being one of the most prolific songs in the series, I just didn't expect it for some reason. But here it is. And it sounds pretty damn good.
Oh god he finally did it and it sounds so good. It felt very weird to have the other characters themes covered but not the protagonist's. It's almost like he waited until christmas to cover this lmao.
