@@WalnutandSteel yes. Still gathering your package. Might lose my internet. If I do, I will keep in touch by email or snail mail. Would you be interested in another 68 760 with a clogged barrel? I would like to get it back someday, but not for a long time. I won't need it anytime soon, and if I die, it would be in the right place. I have one I shoot regularly. I can only shoot one at a time, but it is nice to have some guns in pairs. A "brace" for competition. I actually shoot alone all the time anyways. The 68 is just sitting in a closet now. I also have a first year 1894 with no latigo ring. Needs pump cup. Have not shot one of those since I was a kid! It might be of interest to your viewers. Do you know where to get rebuild kit for 120D? I got the last two, but one came needing a rebuild. All my O rings are too thick in those sizes. Not trying to take advantage of your generosity, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Right?😉👍 I will cover shipping of course.
@@robbinparker4382 whatever you want to send over will be fine with me. I don’t specifically know where to get a 120d seal kit, but they are pretty much a copy of the p17 and they use pretty much standard o rings for almost everything
I’ve really been enjoying your soft-spoken candor and expertise. Can you recommend the best airgun scopes: 1) under $100 2) under $200 3) under $1000 - to go on an heirloom quality, fancy walnut custom stocked HW-30 I plan to buy myself as a retirement present in a few years. These should be springer-rated, with an AO that will focus to 10 yards, and of higher magnification than 3X9. Thanks!
not a lot of choices in a springer scope that I have found worth getting. So far the only scope I have found that has survived a healthy springer so far are the Hammers 4-12x40ao and 3-9x40ao they are 79 and 89 each respectively. I don't really know of any other springer rated scopes at higher prices.
@@WalnutandSteel thank you so much for getting back to me. A few years back I contacted Leupold and they told me that every scope they have ever made is sufficiently shock resistant to meet the spring airgun rating. I also read someplace else that Vortex has responded similarly to a customer inquiry and stated that their lifetime warranty would cover any problems and they would not exclude a claim because it was on an air gun. I’m not sure what models Leupold makes with an adjustable objective or how close the objective can be adjusted to, but Vortex has several models in their Crossfire II lineup under $200 that have AO that will adjust down to 10 yards. I’ve got a Hammers scope mounted on a Benjamin Nitro piston brake barrel rifle that has been quite decent. I’ve also had some good luck with BSA scopes in the sub $100 price range. I think I’m going to be trying a Vortex scope in the immediate future. When I get closer to retirement and my dream custom HW-30, I’ll have to look at the Leupold line a little more closely.
