Doc going on a random tangent about dog shows and what he watched on Netflix and then coming back to realty with "anyways... what?" is probably the funniest moment of season 10 so far. I can't wait to see the animatics.

I love the discussion of Pearl's "kidnapping by proxy", which you said is how you would do it - and then immediately proved it by "obtaining" the villagers.

Calling it a "free-range" village is so funny. Yeah most people give villagers a 1x1, but no. We're gonna give all 20 of them a 4x5 instead!

I love Cleo. Cleo: sarcastically repeats Doc: "I'm not Petty." then "Why are we doing things in sand again Doc?" I also love Doc, but somebody has to call him out on his "competitive" streak once in a while. And Cleo is great at that.

I love how much joy the Armor stand book and now mod has given to Cleo. It feels like she has sort of found her place on the server, creating stories both for her own builds, but also for the other hermits. She has always had a great laugh, but she seems much happier now than she did when she still worked as a teacher. When people really enjoy what they are doing, you can hear it in their voice and it's contagious. But it also seems like Season 10 has a whole different vibe to it than the last few seasons with more focus on interactions and having fun instead of rushing to get the builds done.

An alternative to an auto wheat farm are bonemeal powered "micro farms" (ask Etho, that's his usual go-to method for crop collection.)

Only thing about your farm: watch out for thunder weather. If lightning falls on your villagers they'll turn into witches. You can prevent that two ways. First cover the farm up. Second use lightning rods away from villagers. One of these tricks is enough, no need to do both. I guess the risk is low on hermitcraft with all the people sleeping as soon as night sets in, but you never know.

Nice episode. I look forward to you going postal. ;D 3 things regarding your farm: (1) It needs a roof and a lightning rod to prevent a random thunderstorm from converting your villagers into witches. (2) That many hoppers will cause a lot of lag. A better option would be a single hopper minecart running on a track under the farmland. It's fine for now but you'll probably need to make that change later as the Neighborhood grows. (3) The range for a villager to work a farmland is a circular radius around the Composter block. I don't recall the distance but 3 villagers in that tiny farm is definitely overkill. 2 on opposite sides is more than enough. Also, handcrafting Hay Bales isn't really that taxing but you can also automate it really easily. It's the easiest type of autocrafting: a full 3x3 of 1 item.

I love that Etho and Cleo both thought mail fraud as their first possibility with the mail box systems. Docs train of thought was changing so many rails, it was a riot.

My current wheat farm is 54x54x6. I set it up in rising tiers - there are a series of water dispensers at the top, so with the press of a button it can auto-harvest. Manual planting is necessary, and takes about twenty minutes; on the upside it doesn't need to be planted often because each harvest produces five stacks of hay bales. In short, I understand your pricing.

the only good solution for wheat farm is to make a bonemeal farm and then use it in the mini wheat farm wich operates with dispensers. that way you can make entire shulkers in an hour

Since you can add written books to the chiseled book shelves, I think it might be really cute to make a little reading corner with a bunch of bookshelves where you can put the letters people send you in them. Although it might feel a bit sad if you put 16 bookshelves down and after 3 months, have two books, lmao.

So happy to see how the mail system is being used. Put a hopper minecart track under the wheat farm, not all those hoppers.

Something you can consider for a side gig is finding one or more of the people who can sell glass and *offer them the use of your librarians*. Several of them will hand out glass for emeralds, so they won't need to eviscerate a desert quite so quickly this season.

I've heard the Westminster conversation a couple times in a few different Hermit videos now and it NEVER gets less funny. I'm crying!! Cleo's little "How is this relevant?" killed me.

I built a hay maze one time as a harvest/Halloween thing once so I feel your pain. The grind is real. I harvested and planted and afk ed a giant wheat field like that for an entire month all the while being followed around by a chicken who kept getting in the way. I couldn't bring myself to kill him tho, he just wanted the seed.

The mail system is so heartwarming, it's honestly one of the coolest parts of this season so far!

The pogt is so cuuuute 😊 I imagine that the rules of taking care of it is to: 1. Avoid bright light 2. Don't get it wet 3. Don't feed after midnight

Cleo around 17:50 when iskallman came to give you free rockets it was actually a secret mission where he changed his hair and beard and was going around to see which of his friends will notice (only 2 people did tho)

I have a feeling doc is going to encounter more hermits who would rather just chop logs themselves than dig sand

To keep Swift Sneak stocked, you should make it a monthly or bi-weekly sale, where Hermits can bid on it for a couple of days starting at a minimum price. Have a timer and all, so that no one can claim its out of stock to invalidate your permit. Have the rarity of that book be an in built thing. It can become a thing like the button, where having swift sneak is a status thing, but you hold all the power. It also gives you plenty of time to keep a stock, by limiting how many u sell every month or so. That way you keep your s tier books permit and keep all the power heheh >:D

You should see if Doc can set up a speaker system like he did last season for motivational messages, to shout "You've got mail" at Scar

As I commented on Stress' episode, if you have Villagers outside then you need to cover them from above to protect them from Lightning, or else they'll turn into Witches. Or at least place Lightning Rods around the area (but not too close to the Villagers). The ones in the Wheat farm are most at risk here, but potentially also your trading hall Villagers

I like to think that the mail system is really just Pearl running around and that the redstone that Etho and Tango did was just to cover for her.
