Thank you Rachel. You are the first youtuber I have seen who realizes and let's people know that these companies sell seconds. It drives me nuts listening to other big name RU-vidrs go on and on about what the company is doing right, why one canvas is possibly so different from another, and how they can improve by branding etc. etc. If they did their research they would easily discover these are 3rd party sellers only. They don't manufacture anything and will not back manufacturer's defects for that exact reason. Their refund policies are worth nothing. They will stall you until the period runs out even if you make it within their time limit. Then they block you. I learned this the hard way. I understand if people want to buy from these sites, because they are cheap. However, they need to know what they are going into before they do. I feel DP RU-vidrs are not doing their job when they endorse these companies without researching them and giving their folliwers full disclosure. Thank you for being different and getting the truth out there, so people can make better, more informed decisions.

I get these kind of canvases because I am a beginner and I practice different DP practices on it, like sealing, multi players and the easiest ways to set up my trays for confetti so I don't get confused or upset which make my mental issues more prominent.

For the price point I would not be expecting much but when I was teaching and helping with the lunchtime craft club this is a site I would purchase from because they are cheap and I could purchase multiple kits. The kids would still enjoy them.

Rachel, thanks of sharing your analysis. I too do agree with you. I have seen several artists work put on these sites and people buy them when they really shouldn't. I appreciate all the work that goes into an artist's work. You are always so helpful and explain everything so clearly and for that I am truly thankful.

@@RachelRaeCraft I just remembered....It's taboo in Chinese culture to talk about death or things related to death like bones, so they probably change words that refer to death or bones as It's disrespectful to show skulls or talk about them.

Wow I really like the flowers or succulents , sorry not sure what they are but beautiful for sure ! yea the off companies are cheaper, but sometimes you can hardly tell what the painting is supposed to be when it's that small lol, I love that it doesn't have those annoying circles around each number etc.

I have ordered from this company. While the size is smaller, the ones I got were fantastic. I was very selective and only chose ones where the image and the canvas image matched. When it comes to the cheaper price you do have to be selective. Overall I was very happy with what I got.

What are some of the better companies to order from( if you can share)? Is it possible to get the drills by themselves? In one of your videos, you had a beautiful monstera plant painting. Which company is that from I loved that!!

It does suck that the quality is bad, but the shipping price seems rather normal. Even when I order from DAC my shipping comes to just under $7, and I live in the US. DAC does offer free shipping, but only when you spend a ton of money, which I rarely buy more than one painting from them at a time. I recently ordered a painting at roughly $60 and it was not enough to get me free shipping, but I'm still very happy to shop there, as shipping costs are everywhere lol. Really do appreciate this review! Look forward to the next WIP&Chat, I'm hoping to be on the last legs of my current WIP while I watch !

I know what you mean but this is far off from DAC quality lol. The new shipping prices are quite reasonable now, since they got the price cut from their shipping agent. I believe it's an order over 75 euro gets free international shipping. :) I suppose free shipping is a thing of the past now that Corona is here... :(

@@RachelRaeCraft Yeah, when a DP is lesser quality the relaxation of the craft really takes a hit. I've only been diamond painting for a few months now but I would say that's one of the first things I learned! Corona has for sure made shipping costs just an all-around issue :( I hope it starts getting better slowly over time

I definitely started with cheap ones on amazon. It’s not worth it to spend a lot of money on a hobby you might not like. Now I’ve come to love DP and invest in more expensive & better quality canvases

Hi Rachel, long time no comment! I just wanted to say that I agree that these are good for beginners in so much that I had used (and tossed) quite a few square kits like that while trying to learn. That being said, it also might be *harder* for a beginner trying to fuss with those garbage drills. I have gotten the whole "round & square mix" a few times, and nobbly bits as well, and since they wouldn't stay down I thought *I* was doing it wrong. So meh, hopefully there was enough to complete it. But I did finally learn squares and I'm hooked! I do still think (actually *know*, because I've gotten them) that there are some decent inexpensive sites as well, and they did help me learn! Hope you're well; your nails look gorgeous. ❤💎🎨

I got a 6 pack of various sky scenes from Amazon today. I'll be checking them out tomorrow to see if they are worth it. Cost wise. Wasn't a ton. We will see.

Wow I had no idea what that third image was. The black line going across was very confusing I guess because the picture is extremely pixelated 🤔but when you put the photo up then I was like oh OK, I get it now LOL! I mean $2.99 for those small paintings is not bad however when you're paying that plus the shipping and you're getting poor quality I agree it's not great and not worth getting at least for me in my opinion. I do think the skull was cute though. It had some cute special drills.

I see what you mean by cheap, I also think people need to be aware of expensive companies as well. I purchased a canvas from DAC and a area of about 3 inches in the middle didn't have any glue on it, so I couldn't complete it, so a high price doesn't guarantee quality.

Do you still have your canvas and want to finish it? Walmart and Joanne's sell diamond dots glue and it is super simple to paint on some glue, wait,and drill. Just IF you want to finish it.

There must be a different diamond painting factory. Mine was much different. I had double sided adhesive..a box...but very nice.

Jussttt got a painting that my friend got for me for 81 dhssss ahhhh love her It's a square and is my first ever square And also all the dps I've gotten are not the size that they say and I was convinced that they were supposed to be like that 🤣😂 Hopefully the one that's coming is the size that it says it is( 30x50 my biggest canvas evverrrr) Update: I got it and it's the size mentioned!

I have a (not) funny story: I just started dp at the start of the year. Didn't know anything and purchased one of a Hindu Goddess. Well Amazon offered me "expedited shipping" for an extra 17dollars. Right after this purchase Covid19 hit. The package went to Canada, back to California and finally hit my state at the end of July. To make matters worse, the dp looks like its a picture of a picture. Coloring is bad ,popping drills. I've learned a lot since then. I'm very leery to buy anything unless its from DAC and a few others. Never did get the shipping money back!

I checked out their website just to see what they do have (no intention of buying whatsoever), and I note a couple of paintings that appear to be stolen DAC artist's work. I will be contacting DAC directly and linking the pages for them to review. This just adds to the reasons I would not buy from them.

hi, rachel. i'm a beginner in the diamond painting community and i'd like to ask you on how can i determine if the canvas is a good quality or not based on the price? i mean what's the difference between the fake one and the original? because i just recently bought a diamond painting that is too expensive and i was really upset because the canvas itself is not that worth it. 😞 the canvas is not that sticky, so when the drills pop off i just put double sided tape on it. and it is so frustrating. it was my first dp and i'm really disappointed. hope you see my comment 💕 thank you very much 💕 love from the philippines 😘

In the Netherlands daimond painting is relative expensive. I payed for mij dp 24.99 and it was 27 by 38 cm... That compare to the price of this company... Then it sounds to good to be true do you know what i mean?. If you want a good qualitiy of your dp, you are paying at least 30 euro's for a 30x40 painting. I am often afraid to buy by other company's because I'm afraid that if I order something from another company, they will mislead me. And that you get a very bad canvas, for example. Or not value for money, I am worried when I buy daimond paintings from companies that I don't know yet.

I am not a fan of super cheap dp. I really love DAC, I jusy can't afford them all the time. I try to get my really nice projects from DAC and my filler snack size from Amazon or Wal-Mart. I am usually disappointed in the cheap canvases.

I’m going to have to wait in so many diamond paintings because all the painting I’ve bought from dac all get sent in sep and I’m Australian and it take ages to get here. I have 14 painting to get here I’ve waited for ever to get the paintings I wanted because of the virus everything stopped
