It's easy to mail your clipper blades in for sharpening! Hi, my name is Nick George with Clouds Diamond Sharpening. I'm a professional technician who has been working on hair cutting tools and equipment for 20+ years. Most of my career was spent working as a technician at an authorized Andis, Oster, and Wahl service center prior to opening my own business. I specialize in hair clipper blade sharpening, scissor/shear sharpening, hair clipper repair and much more! My clipper blade sharpening process is unique as I have the ability to sharpen any hair clipper blade using actual diamond (1500 grit) on a machine that was designed and engineered by my Grandfather, providing a smoother, polished finish.

love how informative your videos are, is the wheel embedded with diamond? or do you charge it with a diamond compound?

leroy87532 you can find them on Amazon, they're called "Diamond Flat Lapping Wheel". Sometimes they're called "Diamond Honing Disks", gem faceting wheel or just Lapping Plates. I don't know what this kid is talking about, I'm fairly certain his family didn't invent the wheel or the machine, his family would be multimillionaires a hundred times over. They've been using machines/wheels like this for a very very long time to cut gemstones and all sorts of things. Anyway. they come in all kinds of sizes and micron/grit. Although if you don't already have the lapping/gem faceting machine, you could always just buy a lapping plate and an assortment of compounds. You can buy diamond lapping plates or whetstones in different grits individually. In fact, despite what people who want you to believe that you can't teach yourself how to do what they charge money for, you absolutely can. You could even get a flat piece of glass and high grit wet sandpaper or stropping/polishing compound and do a pretty good job. Just be careful and take your time, because you could mess up your blades permanently. But if they were blades you were just going to throw out anyway, you might as well learn a new skill. Just accept that you might ruin a blade while you're learning how to sharpen them but you might not. I taught myself how to sharpen all kinds of cutting tools from knives, clipper blades, scissors, shears, surgical/dental instruments, woodworking tools, blender/food processor blades, etc.. It's not rocket science, just basic geometry. Especially if you're just sharpening your personal shears.

so your wheel is turning alot slower then a Nebraska and others? The reason I'm not seeing spark is because its diamond grit? Where do you buy your grit? Thanks so much!! I'm about to jump on my wheel and just go for it!

We have different machines for different applications. You will find blades on the market that don't spark regardless of the machine used. The manufacturers of machines also supply grit for use.
