Wow, I'm really glad I found this! I did know about the Mail Rail, and that it was closed. Never realized that it's a tourist attraction now! Really glad that there are trains running again, allowing visitors to view this amazing and hidden piece of infrastructure. :)
awesome video i really enjoyed this one the Royal mail museum looks interesting and same for the mail rail and tunnel ill have to look into popping down there to ride the train at some point
Hiya my lovely, I'm one of your new subscriber's to your channel and will carry on being too. Secondly just wanted to say what a brilliant video, I really enjoyed it. It's one of the place's I'd like to visit sometime as I remember it working myself when I was younger. Anyway all the best, and keep up the good work. From. Devon Mike 🚂
Brilliant video, I find it very fascinating that there's an underground line used by Royal mail for post, would love to experience it for myself someday. :)
What fun for train fans 😃. Such a shame the old Royal Mail began its decline when the trains stopped ☹️. Shame Royal Mail technically is no more! Another reveal of a hidden gem Lorna, well done 👏🌟 Joan
Looks like a great day out! Shame it had to close though, can't think of a faster way of moving mail around London. Assume it's done overground now which must take forever!
Finally, I get chance to catch up with my favourite fellow RU-vidrs. Wow! This was super great Lorna! I have seen a couple of videos about visits to Mail Rail before, but this is the first one that shows a walk through the tunnels. A terrific, entertaining and informative video. Brilliant! Cheers, Paul.
Presumably instead of using the mail train it all now goes by polluting road transport. Such a pity when the infrastructure is still all in place. Thanks for this great video.
This video is so informative and interesting. Would love to see more like this of unusual places. Suggest Crossness Pumping Station, the old operating theatre at St. Thomas's Hospital. There are loads of places to go. I love your videos, you make such an effort to be interesting and you are.
This was really fascinating. I’ve never been to London, but if and when I visit, this will absolutely be one of the sights I will be sure to see. Thanks for highlighting it.
Excellent video 👍 This certainly is a fascinating railway, and it is such a shame that Royal Mail decided to stop using it I shall have to pay a visit one day
Would have loved to go on that last Saturday, but showed up without advanced tickets, and the museum was fully booked on arrival. I think other people were turned away too. But stopped in the café before leaving for the Charles Dickens Museum instead.
I’ve always been fascinated by the Royal Mail underground line…always seemed to me like this secret underground line that most people never knew existed, it conjured up ideas of what other secret underground lines could exist! Hopefully one day in the not too distant future I can make a visit and ride the tiny train!
