I love these mail times. So fun to see all the sweet clothes, books, etc. that people find for you. It’s a precious time and one that I genuinely look forward to. Also love your recap videos. I learn so much from you talking through the questions people ask you. TFS your sweet family with all of us and your vast gardening knowledge. ❤️❤️❤️
Well said. Laura & Aaron are so down-to-earth and have touched millions. I'm sure they're amazed how things have changed over the years. They work very hard with daily videos for us to enjoy. Happy Holidays!
I understand why you will want to stop mail time, as much as your viewers love you and you them, it can be overwhelming and then you have to wonder where to put all that stuff :)
I agree. It would be wonderful if she encouraged her viewers to send donations to organizations she supports in her community instead of sending all those gifts.
Hi Laura. Maybe instead of sending gifts, you could pick some charities that are near and dear to your heart and if fans wish they could donate on behalf of Garden Answer and you could read their names in videos? We're all so appreciative of you and Aaron for all you give us...I would love to support a charity of your choice.
I always wonder if you all get overwhelmed with so much mail coming. You can't possibly use or even want everything that you get. While the Mail Times are fun to watch, they probably encourage even more gift sending and now you are stuck in this crazy cycle.
Exactly! I love watching them, but wonder if she’s looking for a polite way to say, STOP! 😩. This coming from someone who doesn’t like a lot of “stuff” though! 😂
I've wondered whether or not they have to declare all that stuff as taxable income. I know that sucks the lovely out of all the generosity but the IRS doesn't care about sentimentality, lol.
@@deel807 Agree! I guess a polite way to say STOP would be to quit doing mail time video’s and take the address out of the notifications (not that people couldn’t still figure it out). Makes you wonder though, if they quit doing mail time videos, and the gifts stopped, how many of those gifts were given with sincere intentions and how many were given just to get attention.
I wonder how many people will continue to send gifts if they stop doing the videos. There’s an old saying “good deeds should be done with intention, not for attention”.
I can't even imagine where to put everything! Although, I have to say I'm so looking forward to seeing baby girl dressed up in all the cute clothes she's received. She is going to be just adorable :)
@@sheilastromberger2275 Yep, several seem to be gifts with strings to promote their own businesses. ? Not saying it's bad, just feels like wanting free promotion.
@@leapintothewild hmmm,..I dont get that vibe from it at all. Not like she is advertising someone’s Etsy business page. Just saying there name will not help find a small business
This little wooden tiles are probably a memory game. Flip them all over then turn them over randomly two at a time. If they match set them aside of they don't flip them back over and pick two more.
I can certainly understand how Mail time is getting out of control. I would suggest to fans to donate to your favorite charity in the name of Garden Answer and just send a note to Laura and Aaron as to what that charity means to you personally.
I feel for you...I can't imagine being so overwhelmed with packages, packing material and gifts that you now have to manage. I understand the desire to send a sweet gift but those gifts can quickly become a chore.
@@dianajennings4570 If we're honest about it, many people send gifts to see them held up or mentioned in a mail time video, which is counter to the intention of a genuine gift.
@@sheilastromberger2275 I disagree there is also an old saying called "Spread the wealth". There are a lot of very special items sent to Laura from people's own personal Etsy shops and small home business and I for one would never have heard of them if not for mail time. In these difficult times, it is nice that Laura and Aaron can help people. No judgement though! Either direction they chose to go, is their choice. Namaste.
Who else leaned into the screen to take a closer look of the tomato seeds when Laura held the flashlight behind that page? 🙋🏻♀️No one? Just me? 🤦🏻♀️😅😂
while I am sure you appreciate everything you receive, I am sure it must be very time consuming to deal with all these gifts. Even your parents have to deal with them since they are sent to there store. with new baby coming you have to make decisions on how to best balance work with family. Personally I think cutting back mail time or getting rid of it altogether is a good idea. A lot of people are saying not to get rid of it, but they do not have to take the time to film and edit and than take the time to most likely donate most of the stuff. We love you but you need to do what is best for your family. Happy Holidays
I’m very interested in learning how Laura will pivot the mail videos next year. While its very generous to see people send boxes & boxes of mementos - at the end of the day, where does one put/store & use all those items? Her gracious manner in receiving items is beyond anything I’ve ever seen. Fingers crossed for a charitable option in her honor or the like. Merry Christmas to all.
I know, that's what I was thinking. I send gifts from the US to New Zealand, and I really try to keep the weight down because even the lightest packages are expensive. A lot of my gifts are of the photo/paper variety, haha!
Yes, shipping anything, even books, overseas is extremely expensive, and it often costs more than the contents. Sometimes, the packages are even held up in customs.
I think it’s wonderful that people send gifts ! And I love the entertainment of mail time ! But I understand if you can no longer keep up ! I think I would feel like now I need to use everything and be afraid that the people that sent the gift will be offended if they never see it being used 😆 but really how would that even be possible! Blessings to you and yours !
We don’t need to have you open all those gifts on video to let you know you are loved. Your time is too precious to have to entertain us with this type of video. Thanh you for all the gardening videos.
Good comment... I agree! I believe Laura's 'Love Language' is Acts of Kindness (Not Gifts)... so instead of everyone sending her gifts, why don't we all do an Act of Kindness for someone in our community? That would be the Best Gift for her and her family!
Love the act of kindness idea. My company gave each employee $10 which doesn't sound like much and asked us to bless someone else. They then shared what we each did. It was so heartwarming to hear of kindnesses to single parent families, the elderly and charity.
So Understandable, I'd imagine some gifts go to the children's nursery or another awesome charitable place? Being that you are such a giving person yourself. Thank you for all you do ❤ 🤍
This is so much stuff, I think most of this “stuff” should be donated or sold and the money donated to those in need. I love your videos, but the more I watch these mail times and see all this excessive, the more uneasy it makes me feel. With so many in need, please, please please ask people to donate to worthwhile causes in lieu. This makes my heart ache.
I get what you're saying, but I also think the type of people that would send Laura a gift probably also donate to those in need. And Laura doesn't ask for anything so it's not her fault that people send stuff
I think so many folks are so appreciative of this channel and want to show that appreciation through gifts-that’s a beautiful thing; however, I get overwhelmed just watching and thinking about managing all these gifts. A solution might be for Laura and Aaron to share a list of charities for people to donate to, there are so many people in need, especially now with the pandemic, this seems to me a really positive way to re-direct all that kindness :)
I love mail times, but I’ve heard other RU-vidrs say that they had to eventually stop accepting mail or doing mail videos because the volume of mail kept increasing exponentially! We all love you, so I hope you do whatever is best for you and your family 💜
Valerie’s gift was perfect. She thought of kindness to others.just like you do. Giving to those in need is part of what you often do. So many need so much. And many of us have so much too give.
It only makes sense that if something has to give with new baby, it’d be mail time. Plus.. what to do with all the mail and gifts?! I love the generosity though, it’s heart warming. 🌟🎄🌟
wow!! how fun!! so many neat gifts, and that flashlight book, how cool is that!! you are so gracious to open each one and give everyone's gift 'time on camera'
It’s a testament to how much your viewers care and want to share gifts with you, but I agree with others that the gifts are too much. It would be a beautiful gesture if viewers gave to a charity or family in need in their own communities in your honor. Or to a favorite charity of yours, Laura as some have given to the Children’s Nursery in your community. I support your choice to stop the mail times.
What you said about having your second is EXACTLY how I felt! the second is so awesome because you do really understand everything is a season! With your first you think "omg this is my life, forever, IM SOOO TIREDDD" or when they go through the whining phase or no eating phase, or whatever phase because there are many! we waited 7 years to have our second and it does feel good to know every phase is such a short season to get through!
As wonderful it is to see all the love sent your way, I expect the volume of stuff gets overwhelming. Perhaps people could donate to a local charity, either by giving of their time or items needed. You have inspired me to give back to my community.
when one has 2 kids and active career, this mail time has probably become a burden. Laura in a very gracious and tactful way is trying to limit the amount of gifts she is receiving. Let's hope people get the message.
I can understand how overwhelming all of this can be from constant delivery vehicles, holding storage, filming and final storage. A suggestion: perhaps you could lay the items on a table in the new studio and just scroll the camera slowly to show all items received each week and show at the end of recap video.
I think that’s a wonderfull idea!!!! The mail has to be opened anyway but doesnt need to be filmed and edited. People want to send gifts of appreciation to Laura and her family for the information and positive feelings she brings to us all (her viewers) That probably wont stop but your idea would keep it from being overwelming at least IMHO.
Please stop them - such over abundance directed at one person is frankly embarrassing. Your videos are gifts enough to us and the income you derive is our gift to you. Peace please - these groupies need to get their own lives.
I've been waiting all day to watch this video .Got tied up planting, and repotting plants, it was a lovely 73 degrees today so I spent a lot of time outside. Started the day with that wonderful snowy garden tour video. It brought tears to my eyes. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Good morning Laura I love watching mail time your viewers are AWESOME and baby girl will have soo many outfits for a long time lol God bless you and your beautiful family💙❤💗💙
Are you not afraid opening up boxes of stuff from all over the country from so many people with Asymtomatic covid everywhere? Especially being pregnant.
I love watching your mail time! I think I laugh and giggle in delight more than you and oooh and awe too! You and your family are so blessed! ❤ Thank you for sharing your Joy Time!
Oh, my goodness I feel like I was invited to your baby shower! It is obvious that your viewers love you, and I can see why after watching and learning from your videos' over the past year. Thank you for sharing.
Watching your mail time videos for me is like looking through someone else's family photo albums, I just love it. Instead of dedicating an entire video to it, divide it up throughout the week, open a few every day. I have ordered a lot online and I look at all of these boxes as free food for the compost bin. I am not sure if it is realistic for you to keep everything you receive, however there is a wonderful place in your town that has families in need. That would be a great way to advance these lovely gifts. Thank you for sharing your world with us. Merry Christmas.
A suggestion, do some small mail time at the end of your project videos. Video some and have your awesome production guy insert at the end. Then you don’t have to do them all at once. Do like 5 min clips of mail times. Just a suggestion, love from Ohio 💚🌲🌸🌱🌻
I would be overwhelmed with all those gifts. You can start a knick knack store and a library otherwise in twenty years they'll find you under all of this up to the ceiling.
The possum magic book had me!! It was my absolute favourite book as a kid, the illustrations are magical. My mum still calls us kids (and all other children) ‘possum magic’. I can’t wait to read it to my future children and I sincerely hope your babies get as much enjoyment out of it as I did. Oh and the book ‘Wombat Stew’ is another Aussie classic!
Clothes. Sweets . Garden. Toys. I was thinking would be a good idea once a year maybe if you guys choose a Charity that people may like to Donate to can. You could choose a Sesson of the year. That way you can still receive Gifts 3 Seasons of ithe year x The Pink cardigan is beautiful x I have asked once before if we could hear you play your Piano for us x A Christmas Song woukd be lovely x
I laughed when you said Emu 🤣😆 it’s pronounced ( Ee mew ) sorry our accents are so different … that’s an Aussie for you lol merry Christmas and a happy new year to y’all, 🎄🧤👒🐨🦘🇦🇺🥰🙏😻I do wish that family at Christmas is not restricted too much for you 🙏🥰😷
Your time with your family is more important than mailtime. Most people send their gifts to you without any thought of having it on mailtime. Enjoy the gifts without mail time.
Love viewing mail times and you are given such special things that show so much love for the family including the 4 leggers. Me included! Sadly it can be overwhelming. The gift from Valerie and Endless Harvest touches my heart and soul. You will always have room and a use for that kind of thing
I speed this video up to the fastest setting because I get excited to see what’s in the packages. And halfway through I just couldn’t stop laughing at how fast the speaking sounds. Love all the amazing gifts!
My dad uses to tell me it costs a dollar every time you flip the light switch and he was going to make me pay it if I didn’t stop flipping the switch 😂
See just like that I found the perfect gift for my husband in Aaron’s PickMate gift. I love mail time cause I love to see all the wonderfully thoughtful members and their talents. I understand it takes a lot of time away from your family, but I truly believe these gifts are given from the heart. 🥰
