If your interested i actually recomposed and completley remade that song on my channel. If u wait till end ull see how i even includwd the line "reapers calling my name" into the song as well
i just remembered the guy collapsing to the side when he remembered the other guy that dropped to his knees at walmart, so i collapsed on my back while i recal that tragedy
If your interested i actually recomposed and completley remade that song on my channel. If u wait till end ull see how i even includwd the line "reapers calling my name" into the song as well
I can just imagine a friend of yours saying , it's to late for me I've wasted the week on party and drinks here take my notes finish the final project , the grim reaper is calling my name
It's why I think Temperance is the best ending; Johnny never stopped fighting until he died, Maine never stopped running until the very end, David never stopped running because Maine told him to... V keeps fighting because Johnny told them to... The alternative to Temperance, the Legend ending, is going to probably be a Night City Legend's ending. And we all know how that goes.
Right? After the show, friends were asking why i was so quiet and weird. Then one of them told me he just bought Cyberpunk 2077, lol, after he finished the game, i told him to watch the show.... Who´s quiet now, huh? edit: he´s 40 and has a family, im a 30yo loner, guess the feels dont discriminate
@@vavra222 Nah man, the feels get that free pass. You can be in the pride of you life, they hit just as hard for everybody. (Execpt when you can't cuz your brain told you so)
Im sorry for your dog. My lizard died man. Had him for like 14 years. At this point he was just always there. Always in the corner of my room. I cant imagine a world where my room isnt glowing because of a heat lamp. He aint even supposed to live that long. I was sitting there thinking i was gonna feed him, and there he was. Little yellow dog of a creature. Fly high soldier 🫡
Nah Maine death made me cry… Rebecca’s death made want to boot up the game and beat Adam Smasher with a dildo before finishing him off with Johnny’s pistol.
The face of pain that david shows at the explosion moment will be the best scene of what a character is feeling for all eternity, this show will be in my top 3 forever as well.
I can't put it into words how excellently the music was paired with the moment of Maine's final moments - the pain on David was terrifyingly present, contorting that young face into a hideous represantation of absolute woe at the loss of a friend, a mentor, a father figure.
i dont know why people talk more about this but the cinematic in that scene was insane. a younger maine running an almost endless road outside of night city, nothing besides him until there is the end. the end of the line, the reaper is finally calling my name dawg
Yea and right after he shoots the canisters you get a quick visual of Maine standing at the end of the road watching David almost trip as he runs away, picking up where Maine left off. Quick shot of Maine’s face pre-cyberware, then boom.
Went to Walmart, didn't even make it inside... "No more runnin for me dawg, reapers callin' my name" Dropped to my knees in the parking lot remembering this tragedy...
Man if I had a nickel for everytime a heavily borged up guy called Maine went crazy I'd have 2 nickels, which isnt a lot but its weird its happened twice
@@arthurbrandt9789 because thats what makes us human. Sure, there are some out there, that try and suppress those feelings and urges, but ultimately they gonna come out in one form or another.
And that his theme hits harder than anything else after finishing the show? Yes. Honestly, the "stay at your house" is sad because of Lucy and David... this one encapsulates everything else.
@@vavra222for me "stay at your house" sounds bittersweet, song like "let you down" (Edgerunners ending song) feels heavier and sadder, while this song feels like an inescapable despair
@@wheresmygrasses1549 A joke stretched out to the point where it isn't funny anymore. The top comment of this video was someone claiming that this song was so sad to them, they collapsed on the ground in public and made a scene in a wal-mart. The second top comment was someone playing off that comment (but pretending to be oblivious to the comment) stating they witnessed someone having a mental breakdown in a walmart and hoped their day gets better. Every other comment referencing walmart has been copying the popularity of the first two comments and the joke isn't funny anymore now.
Jokes about falling to knees aside. This song is a key note to the anime. So much emotion, the raw bittersweet anger to it. I remember a few times ive felt cornered and gave up. Nothing i could do but i had to do something. Thats the feeling this song gives me. No where to run now tho. So fight back. 🫡💪🏻
This song is making me terrified, angry, sad, anxious, and overwhelmed with grief. This paired with the bonding between the characters and the death’s truly let you experience lose in a way you can’t recreate
I always dream of writing a story that moves people. By Shiva Gautama Christ Chan I hope i can write something even a fraction as powerful as Maine's death.
@mattiuinternational276 Well of course not. With Beserk, we get around 25 episodes of growing on these characters, and Maine's death I think was on episode 5. I just pointed this out because it's what it felt like to me, the similarities.
cyberwares are like drugs, it's an addiction and david and maine all showed severe signs of addiction. maine was thin and weak and barely bones in that flashback, but he was still human and his mental state at that time wasn't great. so he developed an obsession with chrome and started to chrome out beyond his capacity, with little care to his own health or those around him and he knew the risks and saw the signs and yet he refused to stop and turn back. his arm jamming wasn't faulty tech or bad implants, it was a result of loss of control and the sandevistan would have drove him insane in episode 3 if he had it taken from david. then we have david, lost everything his own mom died infront of him and spiraled down into debt and it broke him, he installed the sandevistan out of desperation, felt the power it gave him hence why he laughed after leaving arasaka academy, people thought the first sign david showed of downsides of his implants was when he threw up blood, but no it was when he was laughing after beating up his bully at arasaka academy. right there, we saw the results of an addict having his first high and as we all know, it spiraled down from there, his life got incredibly more messed up and he struggled harder and harder then he met lucy and fell in love and he felt the only way he could protect her was to upgrade and keep going, again showing his reliance on cyberware. eventually overdosing on the cyberware, just like maine, just like smasher. the power trip chrome gives is dangerous, the promise of a better and more successful life, lures the people right in. every junkie i've meet has at one point said "overdose? that'll never happen to me" sounds familiar right? "i'm special, i can take it" Adam smasher, Maine and David, they all said it, they're special yet they all became a prisoner in their own head in the end. this show also shows us how we treat OUR current junkies in our modern dystopian world, we often see them as a result of their own actions and blame them and often mistreat them or discard them but sometimes people who fall to addiction are often just a result of the environment and how the world treated them, how we treat them and view them, sometimes depression and anxiety can cause it, sometimes ptsd, some very traumatic event, just like in cyberpunk. we all saw maine and david right? you think they chromed up just simply to chrome up, or do you think there was some form of desperation in the back of their head screaming for the suffering to stop, in a city built to make you suffer? (sorry for the long list) but reading back on their backstories, to me they just sound like extreme versions of what is already happening in real life.
heard some guy combusted after he saw a guy drop to his knees at walmart. hope his loved ones are doing alright, as well as the dude who dropped to his knees
Quite bitter moment, but whole cyberpsychosis plot unfolded in ONE SINGLE EPISODE and then instantly death. Feels a bit rushed, but perhaps that is how things happen in Night City, one day you know someone, next day their brains smeared across city block for whatever dumb reason and you just go doing your business as usual 😮💨
The whole Edgerunners anime feels rushed. Seems like they had to work with a limited budget and made the most out of it. The series could have easily been twice as long
To my absolute horror and dismay when I saw this guy fall down to his knees at walmart only followed by a guy falling to his side and another guy watching with his jaw dropped. He must've been remembering a very negative moment. I felt it too because not much after I fell backward and knocked myself unconscious
I felt like dropping to my knees but then i saw men dropping to their knees and i thought to myself, "I'm not the only one, that was too lazy to complete my shopping list." It happened. at a walmart.
When i rewatched it today i realized the scream doesn't come from david its a part of the song and i had to find the full version so listen to how the rest of it goes. The last minute and 30 seconds of this song is so underappreciated
In our lives we seem to be torn apart from reality and it’s definition, simplicity is something we should rely on to prevent the storm of unrelenting complexity. Our mind is our greatest enemy.
The lyrics fit SO well for the scene, and the whole story. Dark and beautiful. The songs in Polish, but there’s a good translation video if you want the lyrics. ❤️
maine could run for hours, reaching the end of the road constantly, but could never bring himself to go beyond it. even in a state of complete psychosis he remembered david, as in his vision he told himto run the only thing he couldnt do, rushing far beyond the road, a metaphorical sense of davids journey beginning, and maines ending. a show depicted the ins and outs of a horrible side effect of augmentations costs, and it was fucking beautiful.
so i was at k-mart, i remembered the guy who collapsed remembering the guy who had a vision of something horrible at walmart, i then collapsed and lost all words…..
I lost my best friend last December, and this helps vent out all the feelings I have inside. Its like hes screaming for me 😢 Hang in there lads, tomorrow is always better.
_I have just observed an individual fall to their knees within the confines of a Walmart establishment. It seems they are beset by a most distressing recollection._
Everyone here is forgetting Dorios also died in Maine's death scene. Seeing his lover die right in front of his eyes probably drove him into full cyberpsychosis.
I remember this song with kiwis death. I felt so much emotion for her because even though she betrayed them she told the truth of this world. Trust no one and even in the end she helped them.
MAAAAAAN i was tryna get some food from the milk section right? All of a sudden some random mfs just fall on they knees, back, whatever, i cant take this no more the simulation needs better connection
i just learned about the guy who collapsed on his back when he recalled that tragedy of the other dude who collapsed to the side when he remembered that guy who fell to his knees at Walmart when he remembered this tragedy, and I just saw the reaper come for my dawg Maine so I'm gonna stare at the ceiling while I process this tragedy
Just finished the show & Maine death REALLY hit deep. David trying his best to save him but Maine telling him he can’t & that sheer helplessness we seen & felt will forever be unmatched.
Fun fact: Screams in the background are actual words in Polish. But they are so quiet even a Polish person can't make a word out of them, just first couple of words. Here's text translated to english: Every night they drown alone Among the spark and white spots Because no one is your Lord No one will erase Overlook him, bypass, ignore him Don't let him in, forget him Close the door, show yourself The crane is coming, coming is the crane Fly away, take off Open the door, remember Allow him in, show yourself The crane is coming, coming is the crane I want to throw more into the blizzard Words when I pray Faith cuts my throat So I will endure in it The snow buried me Until I drown in thoughts Edit: I noticed some errors in the translation so I fixed them. Now it's 1:1 translation
@@sudanemamimikiki1527 I get where your coming from but I am Polish myself so I can assure you the text I provided is actual text. Here's Polish original text, all I can provide: Co noc tonie sam Wśród iskry i białych plam Bo nikt kto twój Pan Nikt nie zmaże Przeocz go, omiń, ignoruj Nie daj wejść, zapomnij Zamknij drzwi, schowaj się Żuraw idzie, idzie żuraw Wyleć w dal, wynieś się Otwórz drzwi, pamiętaj Pozwól wejść, pokaz się Żuraw idzie, idzie żuraw Bardziej rzucić w zamieć chcę Słowa kiedy modlę się Wiar rozcina mi krtań Tak będę w nim trwać Śnieg zasypał mnie Aż po myśli tonę Also the title itself is polish word for crane (bird, not machine). Hope I was able to clear up any doubts.
@@tetmayer2015 I did find a reddit post that also referred to the title as a crane and went into symbolism about cranes...so I suppose I just heard wrong...
I saw some news article a few days ago saying some guy randomly dropped to his knees in Walmart. Doctors report it could be due to trauma. Hope that guy gets the help he needs.
