Example: let’s say key of A is playing and I want Key of G so I switch keys but I want the key of A to fade nicely before key of G comes in? God bless mate
THANK YOU! I have one note: I'm not sure if this will help others but I needed to adjust the noteOff events in the script. I needed to remove the noteOff events from the trigger 'on' conditions, and add them to the trigger 'off' conditions. Once I did that, the notes would hold as expected. Before, they would start and stop without holding. I'm sure it's just an update Mainstage had done, and not an issue with the script itself.
Is there a way to run 2 or more channels (each containing a unique synth pad, and the same scripter in each channel) into the same Drone Bus? I would like to layer 2 or more pads in that Tone Generator. Thanks!
Hey! Thank you!! A question: When I change note (for instance from C to E) the previous note(s) are still playing. Only way I've found around this so far is to restrict polyfoni in the instrument or quickly toggle the "State". Is this how it should work or am I doing something wrong?
Scratch that. It seems that some Instrruments behave like this with the script. Steinberg Padshop Pro being one. It works great with Mainstage synths and IK Multimedia synths.
Loving the video... I'm just a bit stuck on the mapping the "state" button... when I go to the edit mode part, I get an exclamation mark showing just underneath, to the right, of the state button. I also do not have an option of mapping the scripter.... I've rewatched up to that point, and feel like I've followed you correctly... I'm just a bit lost as to what to do. Is there another video I should've watched prior (I have watched the video you recommend early on in this video)... or am I just doing something really wrong. Thanks in advance... 👍🏻
Okay.... paid a bit more attention and have now sorted it all out. Sorry.. Thank you so much for this video.... so very helpful and actually (once I got certain bits right) very easy to follow. Now having great fun and loving the fact I have a background ambient pad playing in whichever key I'm playing a worship song in. Massive thumbs up from me... 👍🏻
Hello. Great video. But I have a problem when I switch Key. For some reason the old key stacks with the new key so I get multiple keys playing at the same time. Any tips?
@@pianoproductions9059 yes, it seems like the script activates the new notes when I change the key but does not send the NoteOff event to the old ones. Only when but if I change let’s say, the velocity the old notes deactivate and only the correct ones are playing. Probably because the script does the NoteOff on everything and then actives the right ones with the new velocity. But when i change key. It does not updated the old key to off. My current theory. But it’s weird because it does not happen to you and I did exactly as the video
I’ve followed through the initial testing but I ran into a problem. Each time I change the Drone from let’s say, C to C#. C continues to play while C# starts to play. So the drone notes are just clashing together. Do you have any advice to fix this issue?
Is there a way to store the key changes in a patch? It's sometimes clunky to have to mouse click between songs while still playing the keyboard. It would be great if the key of the drone could be somehow stored/call up in a patch change.
Great Tutorial many thanks, as a drummer I use a designated Pad to strike for next Patch in program change, is it possible when to activate sound of drone at same time (simultaneously)? without going to state button, many thanks, Steve

@@pianoproductions9059 Hi, On stage next to me I use MIDI keyboard and MacBook with MainStage, drum triggers & pads are attached to drum kit, I use a 'trigger pad' as a Patch program changer, at 'Patch Change' I would like the Drone activated at the same time as I use the new Patch. If don't need to go to the 'State button' it would help as that would extra operation. On the next patch change the Drone program will need to be silenced. Steve
Hmmm I understand what you're asking I, think you could map the button to do both potentially, but I am not 100% convinced it would work, like for example if you went back and forwards between patches it might behave strangely, might be worth a try though let us know how you get on! :)
HELP I JUST BOUGHT YOUR 60 PATCHES AND LOADED THE CONCERT, BUT AS IM FOLLOWING THE STEPS I CANT TOGGLE "NONE" ON MIDI, ITS JUST GREY I CANT CLICK ON THE DROP DOWN MENU SO IT JUST STAYS IN "KEYS" AND AS IM IN THE CONCERT LEVEL I CANT USE THE MIDI SCRIPTER

@@pianoproductions9059 I saw it, but the pianos from MainStage are poor, I saw you using from kontakt, I use from kontakt too but need higt perform of laptop.
