Hey loves! I decided to answer one of my most asked questions in this week’s video, how I maintain my twist outs overnight! For those of you who’ve been following my channel for some time now, you know I’m a pretty low maintenance natural. Even when it comes to my nighttime hair routine. So, in this video, I’m giving you an inside at how I keep my hair over the course of four days. I hope you enjoy!

Aisha Beau But wait...your mama gave you that beautiful bonnet, and you're not even using it? I'll send you my address so you can send it to me.😂😂❤️💚💙💛
I just love and appreciate what you have done…. U really took time to give us the 24(7) experience on the how to (for what i feel is us raises hand slow people who still just cant get it)
@@AishaBeau i made a comment three years ago and my hair grew but its so easy if you dont stay consistent to experience set backs and breakage and i just loce your hair and wish mine could get there… anyways hoping your channel continues to grow, thrive and flourish just like your relationship and your hair is… i need all that in my life lol. Take care!
I looked through all the comments to see if anyone was going to bring up the oil stains left on sheets from our hair. And that’s with me using a bonnet!! How are y’all keeping your sheets (and acne prone skin) clean. So embarrassing especially when sharing a bed
Gorgeous! I did a big chop last June and your hair is my goal. Aisha would you do a video on split ends and how or if you cut your ends or if you go to the salon for trims? Thank You, please keep posting. I want to subscribe to that natural hair care kit.
To avoid the matting, I just re-twist my hair into chunky twists. I manage to keep my definition from the smaller twists AND keep my hair from matting. Doing twist outs on air dried or blow dried hair also helps with keeping my hair from matting.
Aisha Beau I’m so happy for you and Joy-el... u both have been my go to and inspiration I did your weekly routine starting on Monday and I’m happy to say I feel like this is a beautiful start towards journey that’ll flourish I have never understood all this terminology about hair and so I wasn’t able to grasp what I needed to do and my routines were everywhere but I left the weaves out, stopped slicking it up in tight pony tails, and just let it breath... I think doing those negative things plus not using a hot head to open up the hair to let products in for all these years was my down fall... can’t wait to see where I’m at in two years time! Thanks for sharing your perspective
I LOVED this video and your minimalist approach! I have yet to master a twist out and will incorporate your routine because why not, your results are bomb!
I also just sleep with a satin pillowcase. I've been natural for like 30 years (since my 20s) and I've never been a satin bonnet or silk scarf girl. I'll either do the free sweep up method you showed or put it in two or four loose twist.
Great video. Yeah you did kinda confuse me with the bonnet in the shower but not to bed. I usually do about 5 mini pineapples all over my head, a silk scarf, a bonnet, and then sleep on my cotton pillowcase. I think I’m gonna start trying just a the silk scarf and then a silk pillowcase
Very good! I haven’t been brave enough to do a twist out yet, but I will now. Sorry I can’t pick my favorite day I loved all four. I would have loved to see day fives puff lol. Thank you.
I marvel at your hair when you wake up. I sweat really bad in my sleep which sometimes makes my twistouts look very frizzy by the last day of my twistout..BUHHHH Man i'd love a day to whip my hair the way you do after waking up. YOUR HAIR IS GOALS
Hi girl. I like day 1 hair the most because there is soooo much humidity where I live, it's almost disrespectful and by day 2 my hair is a frizz ball. As a result, by day 3 I have to do a high puff. 😂 I also cannot sleep with a bonnet because the sweat is crazy, so I do the same as you.
Day 2,3,4 was awesome in that order.. Still getting use to my day 1 twist out look. Bed time routine sometimes I twist some parts that are loosing the curls so as to undo in the morning.
I love this technique! Thanks for sharing. You have amazing hair!!😍. I honestly liked all 4 days! I really can’t say that I have a favorite. I do sleep in a SLAP, however, I also sleep on a satin pillow case. I may lose the bonnet though. I love the volume you get by leaving your hair free.
Aisha Beau I actually love it! I have 4 of them. I never experience breakage. But, obviously, it smashes my hair overnight. I shake it out in the morning, and all is well.
Love the hair all 4 days. I appreciate the low simple maintenance. Way back on my relaxer days I slept on a silk pillowcase and never tied my hair up. I still sleep on a satin or silk pillow case but struggle with bed head the next morning and the overnight shrinkage sometimes.
Aisha, thanks for all the information. Your hair is beautiful,. I have just begun to wear natural twist because of COVID19. I am really loving it. It gives me a sense of pride. Also, thanks for the tip about the satin pillow case.
Loved this, I really enjoy your videos. I also stopped using a bonnet at night to sleep because of the sweat and matting. Hair needs freedom to move around and flourish. I’m type 4 and I wear a bonnet or satin scarf when I’m laying around in the couch too. Sometimes I don’t wear one in the shower so it can steam and get fluffy. While in shower I’ll add a quick oil. But I only do wash and go’s. Haven’t tried twist outs, I’m lazy lol. And I’m a follower on IG now. ❤️👩🏽🦱
Make sure your hair is detangled as you twist, and continue to brush or comb it along the way to reduce the amount to tangling. If you watch any of my past twist out tutorials you'll see I brush it out once more right before twisting and sometimes if necessary comb/brush it while twisting. Whenever you take down twists always use oil to help retain moisture and prevent breakage.
Great video! My routine is pretty much the same except I use satin scrunchies to pull my hair up into 3/4 sections and then sleep on a satin pillow case
Sometimes I do, but the leave-in and styling creams I've been using lately are extremely moisturizing on their own. I always apply oil to my roots and then the strands as I undo the twists the next day
Thanks for the feedback! Generally, people gravitate towards my videos because I give a lot of detail and information, which helps them at home. But I'll definitely keep this in mind.
I appreciate the level of detail you share! Fortunately there are many naturalista RU-vidrs so folks have a range (short or detailed) to choose from. 😃
