I have that from my tenants too, the little rocks are from the fish tank. they just dump the fish tank rocks into the kitchen sink, just vacuum it. done
I remember the video where the ceiling fan light was flashing and you said turn all the screws facing the same way let everyone know you been there that burn mark can now be your new statement that you were there
We change air filters when we get the report that the coil has frozen up wish they do more for a 740 unit complex to say we just don't have time I think it's they don't want to spend the money
onenblue Yea that tend to be the deal with a lot of places. They don't want to spend the money. So they spend way more on the back end when they need to replace compressors & coils. 👍😂👍 Thank you so much for watching onenblue! www.DirtyMaintenanceNation.com
I don't know if anyone mentioned it, but at my house we end up with unpopped corn kernels in the disposal every once in awhile (nobody ever knows who did it). They've never stopped the disposal but they make a lot of noise like those fish tank pebbles.
Hey man great video, but you should never reuse 410a when theres a leak in the system, 410 is a blend and theres a good change most of the gs part of the blend is gone that's why they say always add fresh refrigerant whenever working with 410a
Hey anything that get Moist is job security for us maintenance folks. She cleaned out a fish tank OH DEAR LORD WHERES THE FISH LOL I have one of them tools... it helps NICE vid Lex. Lex don't worry yea just film everything you can man we are the dirty maintenance crew we will back you Skid. Great Video Keep Em Coming.
Do those garbage disposals not got a Alan key hole on the bottom? Every single one I always do does and it breaks a lot easier than that tool. Plus no messy tools
No these 1/3 hp badgers don't have that. I love the ones that do though. Way easier to break loose. Thank you so much for watching Lukas! www.DirtyMaintenanceNation.com
Great job lex ! I have yet to fix an a/c line like that usually we just call the vendor for that type of stuff. That disposal tool is very handy as well ! Disposals and light bulbs are job security for sure !
I have a large old heat blanket here that I guarantee will work, but they'd shut down the apartment and whole area while folks in hazmat suits removed it and cleaned everything :)) yeah it's an old woven asbestos fire blanket. keep some pieces of steel roof flashing or metal duct to use as a heat shield, just clamp it onto whatever is close. you can cover it with heat gel or flame shielding, can also put some behind so it's not directly touching anything.
Lex, You did a great repair. I have used that cloth before and had pretty good results. I keep a piece of sheet metal that I use when I can too. You're right about that 410. I have had to develop more patience too. Alittle bit can really make a big change. Keep them tenants happy!
TP Services Great idea! I'm gonna get me some sheet metal. Thank you for the kind words TP. And Thank you so much for watching man! www.DirtyMaintenanceNation.com
Right on. I have HVAC videos showing a whole leak check process. Because the average watch time is 5 minutes before most people click off I try to keep the videos as short and to the point as possible. Thank you so much for watching Willy!
The things we come across in garbage disposals... once had a resident clog the disposal with chestnuts... dishwasher hose also was.. Good ol' shop vac! Enjoy the videos Skid!!!
Thanks for the video Lex! Yeah, I have a similar fiberglass heat shield, it's just ok. I found using a small piece of sheet metal sometimes works better, you can kind of bend and conform it. I keep a few pieces of varying size in the shop.
Pete Ciallella That's a great idea! Ill get some sheet metal. Thank you for the wisdom Pete! And Thank you so much for watching man! www.DirtyMaintenanceNation.com
Nice job on that AC leak! I use those heat barrier blankets but i agree. They arent the best. I figure some protection is better than none i guess. Its hard to cleanly braze in those type of set ups with the water heater underneath anyway.
TheSpecialist2088 Man I won't lie, I was scared. I had to go straight poker face I do my best. Everything worked out thank goodness. Thank you so much for watching TheSpecialist! www.DirtyMaintenanceNation.com
Good brazing job and maintenance action i think the hot block and viper wet rag demo by hvac in sc should work great in this situations, keep the Vids coming 👍👍👍😎
Good job, Lex👍 BTW, nothing wrong with using that type of thermometer measuring the air temp in that manor. You've already proved performance by the readings on the Testo. As far as that little blemish on the condensate line, we've all did it one time or another in a tight spot 😁
Great videos you put out. Impressed by you taking the drive and ambition to learn the HVAC trade. Been doing it 20 years now full time. Nice career, never be out of job if you know this trade.
polishtheturd mickelson Thank you for the kind words man! I learned everything by watching, popping breakers & blowing things up. 👍😂👍 Thank you so much for watching polishtheturd! www.DirtyMaintenanceNation.com
Fish tank gravel, pull tabs and bottlecaps were what I pulled out of those stinky things. Your right...job security. You've gotta look at it that way or you'll hate your job.
Thanks for giving the maintenance techs a good name Lex!! Maintenance guys have to wear many hats. You know how the old saying goes .... jack of all and master of none. I like to live by my own saying..... JACK OF ALL MASTER OF ALL! 🤙
Good video skid I use a lubricant called Tri flow lubricant non flammable i know with this situation its not a issue but I used it in electrical situations
Hero Caleb Bwhahaha! They couldn't find a better noise for them? 😂 I mean come on! Thank you so much for watching Caleb! www.DirtyMaintenanceNation.com
@@LexVance Thank you for making great videos ! I will be starting my first (official) maintenance job at 52 years old at the end of the month. I will be working for a county agency that works with and houses developmentally disabled adults. They have 25 locations all around the county. I'm a jack of many trades, masters of none and learning a lot from you. I'm also liking Maintenance Man Narratives and a few others. I'm in north eastern New York State so I will be doing at least one job you and MMN don't and that's snow removal. This will also be my first experience with actually being on call. It would seem that when I am put in the rotation it may be every third week because the crew is supposed to be around 5 to 6 but will only be up to three when I start, even though they are offering $18.21 an hour and a $2500 singing bonus. They already told me that they will pay for me to take training courses and my pay will go up when I successfully complete the trainings. The benefits are good too. I'm excited about this opportunity and want to be the best maintenance man I can be because I need to start making up for too many years of screwing around and not saving any money much less investing so I'm hoping for some serious over time pay ! Sorry for chewing your ear off but like I said I'm excited !
Keith Howard Its called Emerson Check & Charge. Its in your app play store & its free! Thank you so much for watching Keith! www.DirtyMaintenanceNation.com
I have 72 apartments an have pest control every month.thats when they complain an tell you everything is torn up.then you have a slew of work orders to catch up on.instead of calling them in they wait until pest day.
throttle bottle They create lots of action, chaos & drama for the video so I leave'em. 👍😂👍 Thank you so much for watching throttle! www.DirtyMaintenanceNation.com
bill williamson Daaang! 1974! Yea, 140 apartments for a place that old is a lot. I've worked a couple of old places as well, one was 1972 & the other was built 1974 like yours. All copper pipes with compression fittings & cast iron flanges & waste pipes. Good times! 👍😂👍
SuperMudMuppet It's called " Emerson Check & Charge". It should be in your play store. It's free too! Thank you so much for watching SuperMud! www.DirtyMaintenanceNation.com
Michaelo jovanovic Yes we have one but can't find a torch small enough that it'll fit on. Thank you so much for watching Michaelo! www.DirtyMaintenanceNation.com
Larry Dotson Drives me crazy! What makes people think that rocks can go into a sink? 👍😂👍 job security! Thank you so much for watching Larry! www.DirtyMaintenanceNation.com
tom rock Yes I buy 90% of everything I use. Because if they make me mad & I leave, I want them to feel loss of what my tools & knowledge brought to the table every day. And they're good for side jobs. Yes, the TESTOS are mine. The recovery machine, vacuum pump, and torches are the propertys. Anything over $200, I make the property buy except AC gauges. I prefer to own my own pair because community gauges turn to crap real quick. Thank you so much for watching Tom! www.DirtyMaintenanceNation.com
Justin 95 It was at the property when I started there in 2014. Soooo sweet. I love it. Thank you so much for watching Justin! www.DirtyMaintenanceNation.com
