I have a theory about the performance of these fragrances. I bought armaf Marjan silver which is an exact bdc clone but performance sucked. So it sat for 6 months and I noticed the level of the juice dropped 20% from sitting. Now it lasts 8-12 hours on 4 sprays. My theory is the alcohol, water and volatiles evaporated from the shoddy seals and leaves a much thicker oil extrait behind, so when you spray 5 sprays it's like spraying 20 sprays from a new bottle. That's "maturating" now most bottles will take years to get to this point but my marjan has a leaky bottle so it sped up the process
That is absolutely hilarious and what a really good catch. And to answer your other question that was deleted on who takes used fragrances are you talking about returning or selling
I heard Alhambra changed a bunch of names to avoid being sued but other reviews said they have blue de chance and maitre and they smell completely different. No way to know for sure, but maitre has super iso in the notes like the parfum while chance didn't have that note listed. So maybe it's a hybrid formula.
I just wanted to say I'm glad I took your recommendation to buy belcam drakkar. Literally lasts all day on two spray and projection is crazy. Imagine if all fragrances lasted this long. I'm still on the fence for classic match green because a lot of people don't like Polo green and I'm not sure if I remember what it smelled like. If it smells anything like brute or old spice I probably won't like it. But if it smells like drakkar noir I'll definitely like it. Anyway I got to get more belcam drakkar and start making it my signature scent for a while I also noticed it's a lot deeper, natural smelling and thicker than my real drakkar. I read it's because they outlawed Oakmoss in Europe but you can still use real oak moss in the United States which is where the belcam are made.
That's an interesting take on the oak moss thing. And it's funny because most fragrances are created in Europe LOL but I'm so glad you like it even though you have a giant bottle of the regular
Sounds like you need to make a follow up video in a couple of months. I got Maison Alhambra Glacier Bold that is a favorite clone by many and for the first couple months it smelled like playdough and didn't last. Now it smells great and has decent performance
@@DeadeyeJoe37 my Glacier gold smell good right out of the box and it performs Jason but yes a lot of these I will make follow-up I'm going to group them all together
@@fragrancefan I had gotten mine fresh from the factory apparently because it had a date from the month that I got it. Had similar experience with Turathi Blue, Asad, and Invicto Victorious and even Nitro Red.
I am not a big "blue" frag type of person, but do have a few blue clones, the regular sauvage clone I use is, Pride by Armaf, performance is decent, and the Bleu de Channel clone I use is, Anna Al Awaal blue by Nusak. probably a 5 hour frag, more if i spray on clothes and over spray. both smell good.
Clone houses have failed to make good fresh fragrance clones but they did better winter fragrance clones. That's my experience. I can bearly name 4 clones that really succeeses what they were aiming for the rest are scratchy, sometimes cheap and sometimes they did not catch the real fragrance smell.
Atlas, Blue touch, maahir Legacy, those are some good fresh ones but I agree for the most part. I wish they could come out with some more good fresh ones
I don't get why people like about this one. I admit it has similar vibe of blue de chanel but a blue de chanel mixed with 10 gallon of water. This is a waste of money. I blind bought one because of the hype and I threw it away...it's a waste of money
Good video. I was helped to know about it. I think Iconic and tag him by armaf is more closed. Also they have more good performance than maitre de blue
@@fragrancefan i have not tested iconic blue but i have acadia Intenso and it last days on clothing, i was the one who recommended it for reviewal to one RU-vid reviewer called THEFRANCESHOW, and he said acadia Intenso is the best bdc clone he has ever smelled, so i just believe that since armaf club de nuit line are usually top notch, iconic might be slightly better than acadia Intenso but having used acadia Intenso, trust me the fragrance is to die for, it's juicy, dense, smooth, loud , extremely long lasting and with massive projection, the only note i noticed is missing slightly in it is the Incense, it's there but not as it is in the og
