The latest version of the Shelby GT500 was unveiled in 2019 and was released as a 2020 model, equipped with a 5.2 liter V8 engine. Maisto released a 1/18 scale replica of the car in 2020 with several new colors released for 2021. The model is available with both the CFTP (Carbon Fiber Track Package) appearance and without the CTFP. Is this model worth adding to your collection? Find out in my review!

I love the colour on this, i might convert this to a cftp because to me that would be the perfect combo

is the engine an actual block that can be removed like older models were made with or has it been cheapened into a couple basic plastic parts ?

It’s usually just a couple plastic parts now, though there are some exceptions. This one is made up of at least 3 different pieces.

Yeah, I was excited to find this color. I was set on getting the metallic blue version with stripes, but I saw this one and thought "I need this version."

Irl the gt500 and gt350(r)are wider than the regular s550. Glad maisto didn’t cheap out like at all on the gt500. Very impressive.

Yeah, I was also impressed with their attention to detail. They recycled only a few small components from their 2015 Mustang mold.

if anyone has the maisto carbon fibre track pack shelby, i'd be interested in knowing if the rear seats have been removed like they are with the real track pack. this one isnt the track pack so it still has the rear seats.

I think Maisto kept the back seat in there. I didn’t know that about the CFTP version.

The CFTP doesn't have the backseat.
