Maisy Helps Me Bake & SuperBowl Drama! 

COLLEEN i just NEED to say that I love and adore the way you engage so much with your kids individually. You are so attentive and patient with them and you can tell they admire you so much!!!! The way you were making flynn giggle over something as small as making a sandwhich, and how sweet it was when you answered all of Maisy's little questions about what you were doing while you were cutting the cookies. This level of affection is so wonderful to be seen in a generation where kids are soooo often sat in front of an ipad and ignored. The fact that you let them be heard and seen and interacted with really really shows beautifully in the ways they interact in such kind and caring ways. Like Flynn calling the rocks beautiful and wanting to love monster trucks like wes. or like maisy and how she immediately is excited about cookies because it means enjoying them with her family. I just had to point out how beautiful that is and how I hope one day I will be half as amazing as the super woman mama that you are! Go Colleen!!!!!

I had an English teacher who made us all write out directions on how to make a PB and J sandwich, then she demonstrated several of them literally. It was much like what you were doing with Flynn. It's amazing the details you leave out when you know how to do something so well.

OK but I love when it just cuts off at the end like an actual tv show 😂 And all the voiceovers. And and the cooking with Flynn of the peanut butter and jelly was the best thing ever. Not only was it entertaining for us/fun for him, but I feel like this is also an incredible way to teach little ones how to specifically explain things so they are easy to understand, and they are also learning how to get their point across better. BIG MOM WIN MOMENT 💝

My favorite moment from this vlog was when Flynn said they’re beautiful about the rocks Colleen polished and she said thanks, Flynn! Colleen is such a good mom! It makes me jealous cuz I never had this experience when I was a child so I get to relive my childhood through her and it is such a surreal experience! Thanks, Colleen! PS this is by no means me shading my parents. In fact, I really appreciate them, especially my mom, whom I never learned to respect her the way I should have before she moved away. But such is life and it is a moment I will treasure for the rest of my life. Many people wish to have good relationships with their mom. So do I. But the fact that Colleen is a good mom and I get to have her as my virtual mom, as many people do, is such a blessing that I don’t think she realizes. Respect is a two way street as I have recently realized in my 28 years of life. That’s why my mom doesn’t respect me as a daughter. I don’t think it would have worked out anyway. But I have hope for a better future. That’s what keeps me going. And I will always keep trying to improve myself in this world as long as I’m still alive. I still love my mom because even after everything bad that’s happened, she’s still my mom. I have no regrets because she is still an important person to me. And I know that deep down, she feels the same way about me. This knowledge is healing to me. And I know my dad and my brother also feel this way cuz I have lived with them my entire life. So I know their heart at this point, for better or worse and I was a coward for so long trying to hide myself from this truth instead of facing it by being brave. Relationships are like chocolates. You never know what you’re going to get. I can only control my violent reaction to it. I still believe in destiny. I know I will be single for the rest of my life because every relationship I’m in is mimicking my relationship with my mom lol 😂 people will take advantage of me because I don’t talk and I’m not a very social person. What I need to learn is how to be strong and take back control of my life by being assertive and saying no to them. I have a mental illness and a criminal history but that won’t stop me from being the best version of myself possible 😭cuz what else is life? Nothing really matters except what I believe in. I just want to thank the girl who sang ghost by Justin Bieber because her voice is so beautiful and she said my heart on a page. ❤

The cuteness overload is killing me!!!!! Love seeing all of your kids so big now and Crazy I've been watching you since you found out you were pregnant with Flynn and how much he's grown 🥲 and the babies are so talkative now. I see Maisey's a dancer when she eats something yummy lol

TTQ: as a neurodivergent individual, I find it is so easy for me to snap at people over small things like the sound of chewing. A change in schedule can ruin my day and cause me to sooo irritable. I want to know how you are so patient and communicate so calmly when you are upset. It's something i have noticed you do really well and I want to be able to do the same!

I feel like you were like me as a gym student back in the day - NOBODY wanted me on their team during the volleyball unit because I was afraid of the ball and would run from it and I used to get points taken off my grade from walking during the track unit when we were supposed to be running a mile. I would literally go out of my way to distract my gym teachers by talking to them about the most random things just so I didn't have to participate.
