Hi. I'm very impressed with the pellets. I'm wondering of it's possible to find out the make of your dryer and pellet machine? We are starting a pellet production line for Napier grass here in Malaysia for th cattle and sheep industry. Thanks
thats cool and make sence, although you use a bit more energy making pellets compared to say a pile of silage .there is lots of things that can go wrong with silo,, but pellets are easyer to store-transport,, and if the pellets are dry,, they can last for years,, while silage isnt very tasy after a year. i worked at a farm when i was younger, and every late spring the leftover silage we didnt use-sell was used for fertiliser mixd with manure hehe and if you have a pellet burning oven you can use leftover cornpellets for fuel ore sell them as burnpellets if you have much old ones the cows dont like, although a real dry pellet can last for years,, cind of like dryed fruit i make in my dehydrator for camping food. it last years without freezing hehe
Thank you for your reply. It's true that it takes quite some effort to make these pellets. However, it is not used as the staple feed for the cows, only as concentrated feed during milking for example. The staple diet consists of hay and freshly cut grass. Greetings.
