I did by 3% with styrene.

I am confused with imperial, 4oz to 1 quart,.. how did you set the gun, all open with 35PSI? @@mtwz71

Styrene. Very little, like 4oz to one quart of gel. Sprayed great.

Duratec® Reducer is the perfect solvent for Duratec® products. This specially formulated thinner/reducer is made from urethane-grade solvents as opposed to standard lacquer thinner. It matches the original solvent cut, assuring complete compatibility. Duratec® Reducer enhances flow and leveling properties and reduces orange peel and porosity. Using this thinner allows for reduced air pressure, which reduces overspray and allows for a smoother spray flow.

I will never use Duratec again. It sure flows real good but about 10 years later the gelcoat was falling apart like house paint. Thankfully I only painted the transom.

It’s a great deal of work but we’ll worth it.
