Thanks CS for a great video. My wife and I are looking at this model and this was by far the most informative about all the nooks and crannies of the 19G.
That was very helpful. Thank you for sharing. I've been thinking about buying o e myself. Maybe a little bit longer rv than what you bought. However, yours is preferably for a single person.
Outstanding presentation!!! I watched your video for my very first time and enjoyed it and learned a bit as well. Keep up the good work looking forward to some more of your videos in the future.😊 B.R.
Thanks for the video. I've been thinking about a 19 foot RV like yours and this is the first video I found with so much detail, like showing the water tank and power unit under the dinette benches.
Just bought the 23A, glad I got an RV inspection cuz they caught a leaking water pump and severs gaps in leaks and other items. For the price it’s worth it and look forward to starting my RV Journey in a few days.
Thanks so much for this great video! You are right, most tours show only the superficial features of the Majestic 19g. I've learned so much! I just purchased my own 19g in December, from Dave in Mesa! You've given me so many great ideas!! I would love to know more about removing the jump seat. Thanks!
Thanks for the compliment.....I'm glad you found it useful. The Jumpseat was bolted thru the floor. My husband found the bolts under the coach and determined they were not connected to anything important and just removed them. There is a wood structure you have to wrestle with but basically, it's just a heavy metal frame that is trimmed with wood and cushions. We used silicone the fill in the holes the bolts left in the floor. He reconnected the curtesy light which made me happy by just leaving the wires to the light exposed and placing the panel back on the side of the drawer unit.
This was so fun to watch. I have the same rig, also bought from Dave in Mesa. I’ve already put the drawers in place of the jump seat on my husband’s to do list. Also love the curtain closing off the back of the rv. I changed that sucky thermostat for a cheap digital one off Amazon. Real easy to install. My son installed inverter and the equipment for portable solar panels. I want to replace the frosted kitchen window with clear and put a fan where the kitchen vent is. I’ve had my rv 4 years and had no problems. Love it. Wintering in AZ right now.
@@coltonbrown9295 I travel alone for work assignments. He does travel with me when we travel for pleasure. In that case because the both of us combined is over the weight limit for the overhead bunk. We will make the dinnete into a bed and that's where I sleep as my husband is to tall to fit there.
This was one of the best!🎉 Thank you for the great ideas that you put into real life! Your Husband is handy and you are very fortunate to have him! That protection improving your water line from freezing is a game changer! Also the battery generator & solar is brilliant.
Great video, been torn about what I want and what I can drive. Also looked at this one and didn't want that added seat by the door and do like the rig a lot and love your hacks, great job.
What a superb overview👍👏Enough details to lead me to look for a cruiseamerica 19A as the choice moving forward into full time “nomading”. Many thanks Paul Wilson
Great video!! I’m looking at this unit & the 24’ from CA! I definitely want a seamless purchase on a very well maintained unit & I have yet to see anyone say anything bad about these! I need to borrow you & your husband to make the changes I want! Y’all are quite the team & extremely handy!! Thank you for making this! ❤
Thank you CS for this informative posting. You did a grreat job showing and explaining your RV & your adds. I will look forward to seeing your other posts. Best regards, Bob
Great video and information. If it wasn’t for my 2 cats this size unit would be perfect for me. Kudos to you and you inspire me to go out on my solo adventure soon.
Thank you for the very informative video, this is just what I have been looking for. I am considering buying a motorhome from CA and am researching how happy consumers are with their purchase. I am reading more positive feedback about their purchases then negative, even with the high mileage on these motorhomes. It has been a year since this video, I wonder how the Majestic is holding up. Anyone else purchase a Majestic?
Great video, I'm starting to look for a small RV myself, and I found the 19 g at cruise america. I live on the east coast in Northern New hampshire, so it's a bit of a travel to look at one. So I'm so happy to find videos like yours that give me a tour of the unit.
Glad you found it helpful. It ‘s been perfect for my needs. My husband started traveling with me so we have bought a 37 ft class A. I still have the 19g but I do need to sell it . Bittersweet
Are the black water tank and grey tank the same tank? I did a toilet flush and all was good. Did it again and put a treatment in and intended to leave it for the day. Then I wanted to clean the grey water tank because I noticed that the water drains slowly so I figured it had hair and gunk from dishes in there. I poured some dawn in there and added some warm water from the shower. I went outside and it was leaking in about three different places! I crawled under and it looked like water was coming out around the black water tank flaps that bolt to the floor of the RV. I emptied everything and the drip continued for a while and eventually stopped. I waited for things to calm down then filled the black tank back up like before and let it sit. There was no leaking. Neighbors think it's either my grey water tank or there is an overflow system in place.Any insight is appreciated!
The black tank and grey tanks are totally seperated. If you have a leak it's most likely to be from a bad fitting or crack in the drain line itself. Gray tank overflow shows up on the shower floor filling up with grey water. Hope this helps.
I found your video while looking at the CA Majestic 19. Thank you for posting this. It is very helpful. Question for you. What are the dimensions of the dinette bed? I'm particularly curious about the length. I'm tall (6'3") and would prefer to not crawl into the bunk with my wife up there. The dinette would be where I would probably need to sleep but I really worry it will be far too short for me.
My husband is 6 foot and it is a tight fit for him. He is more comfortable in the bunk and I slept on the dinette. We recently sold the unit as we were traveling more and wanted something bigger. I solo traveled in it for a couple of years but found it was not comfortable for the two of us. We've upgraded to a class A and are much happier.
I loved the video I think you did great. This is the rig I want to buy. I haven't seen the 19 ft motorhomes for sale anywhere but cruise America. I'm not ready to buy yet. But when I am I know now how alot of the stuff works and the layout. But I am curious about your fuel consumption. Can you tell me what it gets on mpgs and how many gallons does the tank hold? Thanks! 😊
@@cajunsuggies132 honestly I thought it would be worst than that! Not great but not terrible because you don't have to pay for hotels or even restaurants you got your home and kitchen with you. Thanks for getting back!
I just bought a 2010 model 19G. It has the fiberglass bed above the cab. No seams to leak and larger space. However, it is a Canadian model and I was told they ordered them with no generator. I will be purchasing a new 5,500 watt ONAN and have it installed. Do you have to have the leveling jacks? Did you have to buy those, or did the motorhome come with them?
I’m 5 foot five and my husband is 6 foot. While I rested pretty comfortably. My husband was a tight fit for him. We did put a 2 inch foam mattress on it and basically left it made into a couch during the day.
Very well done!!! A huge thank you. Can you provide any info towards purchasing this unit from Cruise America in regards to the price? Muchly appreciated!!!!
Well if your interested my unit with all of it’s upgrades is up for sale. My husband started traveling with me and we have decided to go part/time fulltime and had the opportunity to purchase from a local couple a once in a lifetime class A couchman.
I’m tempted to keep the 19g for my short work trips but would still sell it. I had checked the Cruise America site and actually talked to the gentleman that sold us our unit and the price we are asking is lower than the exact same unit with same mileage. So check out my Market Place listing. Keep in mind it still has the extended warranty in place and is transferable.
Very informative! I appreciate the time you took to go over everything and provide so much detail. My wife and I are looking to purchase a smaller class C in the next few months and are very much interested in this same model. The one concern I have is driving during hot weather. Do you run the roof AC in addition to the cabin AC or do you stay cool enough with just the cabin air through the dash vents? If I understand it correctly, running the roof AC requires the generator to run, which would affect your mileage even more. Just curious. Thanks for your insight on this!
I have put 18,000 miles on this unit in a year. And I live in Louisiana which has brutal summers. Never did I need to supplement with the roof air. I do close the curtains behind the seats on occasion to keep either cool or hot air up in the cab more.
Great video and tips! Thank you for sharing. I am considering this model, but am concerned about climbing up into the bed, do you find it difficult? I am in my sixties and would probably end up making the dinette into a bed. Thank you
I’m 65 and only have issues I have are getting OUT when my legs cramp sometimes. I use a small collapsible stool by the dinette to aid with that first and last step which helps immensely.
We just made a trip from Louisiana to North Carolina then down the east coast then gulf coast back to Louisiana. Plus I use it monthly for work travel on average 10 days a month. I’ve put 16,000 miles on it since Nov. 2021. We had to have the radiator replaced within the warranty period and CA paid for it. I had to have routine things repaired like adding Freon to the roof air. We did a proactive move and had the roof coated. Had a small leak on the back of the toilet which my husband easily fixed. So my answer is yes we are still enjoying it!
@@cajunsuggies132 that’s way, way too much or should I say too little for the 19 ft rig, basically it’s the smallest rig of class B and they usually get 15-20 miles per gallon, twice more than Majestic 19 and if you pull a truck and a trailer then you will get twice more space (trailers usually 30-40 feet), plus you can drive your truck around the city or elsewhere without the trailer, which you can’t really do with the rig.
Odd statement! My husband is a large man weighing 250 lbs. and I'm a larger woman and the recommended weight for the overhead bunk limit is 300 lbs. The dinette is short and not that comfortable. So we take turns swapping up. We've been married for 42 years and sleeping separately feet apart for a few nights is certainly not odd. Your statement is a bit offensive.
We have a class c with twins in the rear. We had more storage in that 8x8 space than we needed. The bedside table had 3 drawers which was perfect for medicines, charging phones, tablets, etc. I need to sleep elevated on my back and he wiggles from side to side and snores. I wear headphones to bed. We both got up at night so we slept better apart. He weighed 350 lbs and I weighed 240 last year. Separate beds was a major consideration when we started looking.
