Atrai is one of an important river in the northern part of Bangladesh. It is the lifeline of Dinajpur district.. This river has a great importance in irrigation. The economy of Dinajpur district is heavily dependent on this river. There are several bridges and dams constructed over the river. Ferry boat is also seen in some place of this river.
