I was in Norway in 2005 celebrating 40 years of marriage. Sadly my wife passed away in 2016. I am part Shetlander and I believe my ancestors came from somewhere near Alesund. I did Norway in a Nutshell including the Flamsbana. I have 100s of photos and miles of videotape and it still does not show everything about this remarkable country.
you are my new David Attenboroug. I dont usually comment but I couldn't not. this videos was an absolute pleasure to watch. incredible, thanks for making such a delight! :)
Daniel Platt Thanks Daniel, really appreciate the comment. My other Norway films are: HD Norway, Beautiful Norway, Inspiring Norway, Majestic Norway and Lofoten. Actually 39 in all! All the above are interesting, and Lofoten has some awesome drone shots! Enjoy! Paul
These videos of Norway always relax me and calm me down! Much appreciated! Always look forward to more! I too have been to Norway a few times. It's difficult not to be lulled to sleep on the lovely fjord cruises.
The beautiful views take my breath away...Majestic Norway...Majestic Paul and Gunnar of course and don't be afraid Gunnar ,the Trols are not afraid of you ...thei loves you both .Thank you from the bottom of my heart Sir !
You have documented really beautifully and thoroughly. I have been watching your discoveries again & again. Whatever you have shoot is amazing, in short I LOVE IT... It is giving me craze to come all these places and discover all them with my open eyes and capture them, just like you did....
I love my country, thank you for sharing her beauty. In Norway you can be whoever you want to be, as long as you don't harm yourself or someone else. It's truly the country of the free. In Norway we follow ''in spirit'' a little something called ''Kardemommeloven'', which is a ''law'' from a fictional play about Kardemommeby, a Norwegian stage play. But this law in this fictional town carries a message that I believe most Norwegians follows in spirit: ''Man skal ikke plage andre man skal være grei og snill, og for øvrig kan man gjøre hva man vil.'' It's part of the line of the show, from one of the songs, and it carries a powerful message. It translates to something like: You shouldn't bother others, you should be kind and good. Otherwise you can do whatever you would.''
Thanks Erik, I appreciate your comment! I have about 6 feature length films of Norway, the last three in 4k. Just type in prsw100 Norway and they should show up. ENJOY, STAY SAFE AND THANKS AGAIN. PAUL
Wonderful video with your sweet voice. All scenery makes me say wow and it's God's gift.really majestic video. It feels like i experienced the scenaries in real time.God bless you and your friend.
I will continue to say thanks, thanks, thanks. .....But you know what makes these videos even more endearing? Your very good and faithful friend for so many years. He is a never ending fountain of delightful information, he is still a teacher...lol..I so admire the two of you, and your long family friendship. I guess once a teacher always a teacher. What a blessing to have such a long and beautiful friendship. The two of you bring such joy, you couldn't imagine. .... Never underestimate the value of what you do. Like you said imagination is a wonderful thing. You've opened my mind to a different way of looking at the world. Ive learned quite a lot from your videos. Again thanks , thanks , thanks.
Alex Williams thank you so much, Gunnar will read this, he not only is my teacher about Norway, but he is also a photographer and he is constantly pointing things out, but even more he knows what I want to shoot and drives to the places that inspire. Unfortunately this year is out! Maybe next year we can resume. Paul
@@gunnara7625 oh I'm so thrilled to hear from you. I look at you guys so much I feel like I know you...lol..😊 Thanks for replying. Hope to see more soon.
I remember with great nostalgia my siblings and I travelling on the Hurtigrutten flagship, MS Richard Width. There was a large poster on board referring to the planned Stadt tunnel, I would dearly love to go through it when completed.
wonderful film, thank you. Me & my husband watched Norway film 2 films more than 10 times each. We love so much. I hope more film like this we would like to watch around the world.
Thank you so much. Its very clear & informative to your viewers, .(Norway is really beautiful to live as describe) or even tourist destination. . Really fantastic amazing scenic mountain view .Wow nice place ..
I love your video's of Norway! I'm homesick for a place I've never been to, but my Great Grandparents came from to the USA. As close as I have been is sitting by and touching the wooden chest with my Great Grandmothers name painted in gold on it. The trunk she brought from Norway to begin her life in Minnesota. Seeing your Videos and hearing your voice takes me to this homeland I hope to visit !! Thank you so very much ! Love from USA
Yes... my great grandparents came from Norway as well! From both my parents families. I will be adding more to my new website that includes information about my ancestry. I found a short video of the very valley I believe my parents family is from... Jorddalselva i Fjaerland which means Jordal River Valley in Fjaerland. Jordal mean earth or farm-valley... www.davidjordahl.info/jordal-family You took the words right out of my mouth... "homesick for a place I've never been to." Bergen is the port from which all of my great grandparent left for the America's.
What a lovely family story. I hope that you can go - it is a beautiful country with lovely people. Taking the Hurtigruten 12 day voyage up and down the coast is a fabulous way to see a lot of Norway in a little time. I still say that I am homesick for our boat and Norway, even almost two years later - it's definitely a country that "feels like home" (and I live in Australia).
I love this place....so amazing landscapes and very clean environments.....also here on our place...we are living very close to fjord/sea.... and fjell/mountain
@@davidjordahl I just saw your comment and followed your link. What a labor of love you are creating of your Norsk heritage. I'm fascinated with Ancestry research and know what it takes to keep digging. Bravo !!
Wonderful film Paul. Love your Norwegian vlogs 🇳🇴 Have visited this amazing country twice and your vlogs have been invaluable in showing me places to visit. Can’t wait to visit again ❤️

You are incredible photography and I love your thoughts and get the experience of the way you speak in all your videos. There are a useful, priceless and guiding document for the diaspora.
I watched this while it was in shorter pieces but I must say the experience as a full film gave the whole thing another dimension. You're a magician...
You made it to my ancestral stomping grounds right at the end..Borjli...Lesja. That whole region is just gorgeous and picturesque. Some of my cousins have been to the Homeland but I haven't. However, great videos like this really motivate me! Thanks for wonderful video, I really enjoyed it.

Wonderful video. My wife and I were transfixed by your commentary and professionally edited footage. Thank you so, so much for sharing this wonderful journey you both took.
Thank you! For making this magnificent video of, "MAJESTIC NORWAY 🇳🇴!" We live in Staten Island N.Y. and we have friends in Stavanger. They are inviting us to come stay with them. This video you made makes visiting Norway 🇳🇴, irresistible. Again, THANKS.
I love every one of your videos. My wife and I traveled with government for 48 years. Wish we'd had time enough to see more. The history, the geography, the people; all serve to enrich one's own perspective of life. Now disabled, I see the world through your videos; some fond memories, many new discoveries. Thank you for sharing the world with us!
Thanks for the journey. I lived in Norway in the early and mid 60's but in Vestfold, south of Oslo. I visited Stavanger and Bergen during that time but only for a couple days in each place. I haven't been back since that time, but after watching a couple of these 'movies', wish that I had made it my home. I guess I can only dream.
In our soul, we belong to some place în an irațional way. We love The place, we absorb every beat of i formation as we would ne there... And, enegetically, we are.. We are absorbing Information... It's good for you you could see this place, others - like me-only doream about it.. Yes, we only doream, but even Shakespeare said The life îs a scenariu, Caldeton della Barca, life îs a dream...We are Lucky to fream about; others do not. 🙂

That's the thing about the west coast. The weather might be bad most days of the year but those times when it's good, it's the most beautiful place on earth.

We have spent two summers traveling to Norway from Spain in campervan to photograph and record wildlife (arctic fox, musk ox, puffins, etc ...), and every year we are more in love with this country. Norway is fantastic. Congratulations on the video.
Thanks Gilberte, your comment came through as I opened the ipad with my morning coffee here in Hong Kong! I talked to Gunnar in Norway last night and we are looking forward to being able to do more. That film BTW is one of 7 full films. Some memorable and breathtaking scenery! Paul
@@prsw100 I've just recentely found and started watching your films especially the Norwegian ones What an absolute joy they are. @@prsw100 Hi Paul its John Robertson. As suggested I watched your video on Scotland. It was excellent and great to revisit places I had been to. We are lucky to stay near the Beautiful city of Edinburgh. For the last 35 years we have spent at least 4 weeks a year in a village on the Scottish West Coast called Corran. Its near Glenelg and looks over the sea to Skye(im sure there's a song in there) We have taken our children then grandchildren and now our foster children there. They have all loved it and our family still independently visit there. We all receive a very loving and friendly welcome when we visit and the local people keep in touch all through the year to see how we all are. I wonder have you made a film of Lapland and the Sammi people? We took our Grandchildren there to a northern village called Karesuando about 12 years ago It was magical in the snow. We are hoping to take our foster children this year or next. I cant wait to see their excitement when we get there.(although its me who will be most excited) Im not sure where I will end up in one of your beautiful films tonight but I know It will be fun All the Best John Robertson

In May of 2013, did 15 day car ride and stays in Stavanger, Bergen, Voss, Oslo and back to Stavenger through some of the most beautiful majestic scenery, beautiful, clean and efficient country; not to mention the most wonderful people . Still in my mind
