D328 is a DB category Deluxe Balcony Stateroom located on Dolphin, Deck 9. It’s around 21 square meters or 233 square feet in size.
Princess have never been known for spacious balcony staterooms, and so when the line launched its Royal Class ships, it introduced the Deluxe Balcony stateroom category. Although it offers only 1 square meter of extra space, it allows for an expanded sitting area which you’ll see shortly.
Bedding can be set up as a twin or queen as seen here. Two bedside tables provide storage with 2 drawers and a shelf. Except for 2 USB-A slots on the balcony side of the bed, there are no other power outlets next to the bed itself.
The small lounge and coffee table provides extra space for lounging or in-room dining.
The flat screen TV offers complimentary on demand movies, tv shows and music. It’s one of the best stateroom entertainment systems afloat.
The compact vanity offers a number of power outlets, with two US, two European and one Australian. I recommend using European outlets for Australian appliances.
A hard-wired hairdryer is stored in the top drawer. A mini fridge is located in the cabinet underneath. There isn’t a great deal of storage in the bedroom area, but we’ll see the walk-in wardrobe shortly.
Like most balconies on Princess’ Royal Class of ships, it’s a fairly narrow area. There are two chairs and a small table occupying the majority of the compact space.
Inside, the wardrobe offers an upper shelf as well as a large area to hang clothing. There were plenty of timber hangers and more could be requested. The cupboard hides a small safe and 5 shelves for additional storage.
The bathroom is likewise a fairly compact but pleasant space. Liquid hand soap and lotion is a nice touch. Unfortunately, there’s a shower curtain instead of a glass shower door. There’s a retractable clothes line, plus shampoo and conditioner, as well as shower gel provided for use.
Thanks for watching!

We were on Majestic Princess in 2018. We had a mini-suite which of course was larger but the balcony looks about the same size. We had a 3 seater settee and a bath in the bathroom but that horrible shower curtain was still there. The feel of a cold clammy plastic curtain against ones body is yukky at best. Don't you just hate them. Thanks for that Adrian.

The shower curtain is so bad! Thankfully, Princess are done with them going forward. The new Sphere Class ships will feature glass shower doors in all cabin types 🥳 Finally!

Thanks Adrian. We just had the standard balcony but the couch would be handy especially on a long voyage. We thought the bathroom on Majestic was the smallest we had encountered on the 20 or so cruise ships that we have been on. The door and its associated wall were at an angle which cut a bit out of the bathroom. I'm only 6 feet and pretty fit and agile but I still found myself opening the bathroom door to dry off.

Thanks Mark. It's definitely a compact space 😅 I'm 5'7 on a good day 🤣 and still find it small. Princess bathrooms are really some of the most compact out there. Looks like the Sphere Class will finally fix at least one of those problems with the removal of the dreaded shower curtain.

It’s definitely worth noting that the the aft-facing Premium Deluxe Balconies on Royal-class ships are the largest available in the balcony category & are significantly larger than the DB cabin shown here.

Also the forward facing “obstructed view” DW category staterooms. The balconies are enormous, although the railing is completely metal and obscures the view somewhat and passengers may have to contend with a windier outer deck. Lots of options and choice onboard the Royal Class ships. Stay tuned for a Penthouse Suite and Mini Suite tour coming soon.
