Putri Ariani is mix Minangkabau tribe from West Sumatra (her mother) and Javanese tribe from Yogyakarta, Central Java (her father). Each tribe in Indonesia has its own language, culture, culinary and music instruments (we have 1,340 tribes in Indonsia) and we are united by one language, namely Bahasa Indonesian. Indonesia used to consist of several kingdoms and until now there are still some who maintain their sultanates, one of which is in Yogyakarta province where Putri Ariani's father comes from.

Bhinneka Tunggal Ika is the official national motto of Indonesia, inscribed in the National emblem of Indonesia, the Garuda Pancasila, written on the scroll gripped by the Garuda's claws. The phrase comes from the Old Javanese, translated to as "Unity in Diversity." The phrase is also mentioned in the Constitution of Indonesia. The phrase is a quotation from an Old Javanese poem Kakawin Sutasoma, written by Mpu Tantular, a famous poet of Javanese Literature during the reign of the Majapahit empire sometime in the 14th century, under the reign of King Rajasanagara, also known as Hayam Wuruk. Translated word for word, bhinnêka is a sandhi form of bhinna meaning "different"; the word tunggal means "one" and the word ika means "it". Literally, Bhinneka Tunggal Ika is translated as "It is different, [yet] it is one". Conventionally, the phrase is translated as "Unity in Diversity", which means that despite being diverse, the Indonesian people are still one unit. This motto is used to describe the unity and integrity of Indonesia which consists of various cultures, regional languages, races, ethnicities, religions, and beliefs.

The Minang people survive as the largest matrilineal adherents in the world. Apart from that, this ethnic group has implemented a proto-democratic system since pre-Hindu times with a density of customs to determine important matters and legal issues. The principles of Minangkabau customs are contained in the statement "Adat basandi syarak, syarak basandi Kitabullah" (Customs are based on law, law is based on the Koran) which means customs are based on Islamic teachings. Putri Ariani and Vanny Vabiola is Minangnese 5:07 We called it "congklak"

Indonesia consist of more less 17000 islands with 700 different etnics with 400 different languages but we have one united language "bahasa Indonesia"( they sang in their local language in this vid, so i didnt understand either guys 😅) , n each of them has different cultures, n its just one of them, MINANGKABAU, its a place that famous food "rendang" Comes from...

For those who speak Indonesian, it can still be translated by Google Translate... The Minangkabau traditional house is called "GADANG" HOUSE. That makes since for this video, but we have this issue on a lot of videos we react to. We just reacted to Putri's Vlog where she interviewed Alan Walker and it was the same problem. The auto generated subtitles can't be trusted. You have to go in and alter them manually for a good translation.

Yes. Even though you still have an accent, your pronunciation is correct. Minangkabau is the name of a region and tribe located in the Province of West Sumatra. West Sumatra Province is one of the regions in Indonesia that has nature and beautiful scenery. Enchanting cultural wealth. It can be compared to the island of Bali. Although the island of Bali is more famous in the world . The religion embraced by the Minangkabau tribe is Islam with a percentage of 100%. They still hold fast to the rules of religion and the customs of their ancestors. So that if you visit this area, you must adapted to the situation and conditions there. Do you see a clock tower in 8:09 and 9:10, it's an iconic landmark in Bukittinggi called Jam Gadang. It has unique history behind it. First, it built in 1929 as gift from Queen Wilhelmina from Netherland. It design by Minang architecture, Yazid Rajo Mudo. Second,it have unique construction material. It didnt use an iron frame or cement or concrete, but uses a mixture of egg white, limestone and sand. Can u imagine a clock tower with 26 meters height with 5 floors that built without cement and iron, but only with limestone, sand and egg white can stands strong until now even west sumatra severally have big earthquake n destroys lot of buildings, but Jam Gadang is still stand strong. Seems i will use an egg white if i want build my house next time lol Third, the clock number use roman number. But the number four of clock is not written as "IV", but rather "IIII". It says they are following the originally written in roman numerals for four (IIII). The written of four is get get change with 'IV' is during the reign of Louis XIV. Fourth. Jam Gadang use a very rare machine. The machine is same production with Big Ben clock tower in London, only those two has share same machine in this world. Hence, that why Jam Gadang get a title as the twin clock of Big Ben because they use same machine.

Homo sapiens reached the region around 43,000 BCE. Austronesian peoples, who form the majority of the modern population, migrated to Southeast Asia from what is now Taiwan. They arrived in the archipelago around 2,000 BCE and confined the native Melanesians to the far eastern regions as they spread east. Indonesia like much of Southeast Asia was influenced by Indian culture. From the 2nd century, through the Indian dynasties like the Pallava, Gupta, Pala and Chola in the succeeding centuries up to the 12th century, Indian culture spread across all of Southeast Asia. A number of Hindu and Buddhist states flourished and then declined across Indonesia. Seven rough plinths dating from the beginning of the 4th century CE were found in Kutai, East Kalimantan, near the Mahakam River. The Kutai Martadipura Kingdom located in present East Kalimantan Province, believed to be the oldest and first Hindu kingdom of Indonesia. One such early kingdom was Tarumanagara, which flourished between 358 and 669 CE. Located in West Java close to modern-day Jakarta.
