Chad, so named after the second largest lake in Africa, Lake Chad, is a country in central Africa. It is the fifth largest country in Africa by land mass and is home to numerous ethnic groups.
My African Ancestry DNA results revealed my maternal lineage is from SARA tribe of Tchad ...I really want to go and learn, unfortunately there is no recommended travel allowed per U.S.Embassy
@@bossmachi you can make plans and visit during the festive season (Xmas and New Year), that's the best period of the year. I'm from Sarh, a city in the southern part of the country.
I'm writing from Nigeria, I appreciate your submission. Please what of the Tangale people who are neighbors to the Sara? Kindly give an update about them.
@Abdullah Alsalmi
Hi, I am from Chad also my parents are Toubou, back to your question Daza is Same as Toubou, also known as Gorane; Toubou or Gorane is divided into 2 groups Tuda and Daza, Tuda they speak tudaga and Daza they speak Dazaga, the 2 language are almost Identical just few vocabulary and tone change differences, Daza group are mostly located in north Chad 🇹🇩 in the region BET which mostly the dialect have been effected by the French and Tuda are mostly located in the north Libya and niger where the group have been influenced by the Arab. For instance if you want to say “ He agreed’ in Dazaga is “ Daccorchy” which originally from French word “ D’accord” which is means agreeing and the Tuda group will say “ Ghobulchy” which take origin from the Arab word “Ghubul” which is means agreeing. Thank you for making this video and if you need any other information to make another video about Chad 🇹🇩 culture or tribe let me know I would be glad to help you with your question.
Hi, the Daza and the toubou are the same ethnic groupe.they are sharing the same culture, the same language and the same lifestyle. They're both nomadic herders. they're living the same land in the northern of Chad. What creates confusion between the 2 groups is the way they're named. The daza are basically known in Chad as Dazagara or Gourane, the Toubou are known as teda. The Toubou or Teda speak the tedaga. the Dazagara or Gourane speak the dazaga. The 2 languages are note different.the teda and the daza understand each others, the differences are based on accents and a few vocabularies in a way British english and American english are.
There is a misconception here. Many people separate Goran, Daza, and Toubou. But truth be told they are all the same. Only people outside of the tribe call us Tobu's, but from the inside. We all call each other Goranes. And the language we speak is Dazaga. The Zaghawa ethnic group is separate from us, many people also associate commonality between Goran's and Zaghawas, but truth be told. Zaghawas come from the western part of Sudan(Darfur). Whilst the Goran's are from Niger, Northern Chad, and Southern Libya.

Unfortunately, still continuing this practice not just Sara group practice these type of scares almost all the ethnic group of chad practice it, me myself I have on the left and right of the upper cheek next to my eyes got both side vertical scars, I am currently living in America and people ask me what happen to you and I can not answer to them because my parents did this voluntary for culture and tradition reasons. Last time I asked my family about it, the answer was we did that to strengthen your eye vision.
