This video of the Major Mitchell or Pink Cockatoo brings to life John Gould's statement "The most beautiful Cockatoo". Always regarded as a grainiferous bird a new feeding pattern where these birds and other Psittaciforms eat burrs is illustrated.

Jolly Good presentation 💞 👍 Wealth of info in compact form 💲 Look for other videos on this channel. 👁 Highly recommend 👍 Kudos ❗ Outstanding 👍 Winner 🏁 Birds Birds Birds 🐤 🐦 🐣 Commentary is spot-on 💬 Immeasurable detail of diet, behavior, habitat, with sounds 🎼 breeding, so much info. I have never visited "Oz" but this channel brought Australia to my living room, without having to swat mosquitoes. 👍 Thumbs up 🏁 winner 💯 top marks 📌 must see Immeasurably grateful to find this channel. Truly enjoy the bird videos, the time, patience, and skill of videotaping - editing, sound quality, in the natural environment. I appreciate the info provided re habitat, breeding, food source, migration, etc. I posit that the minute, almost indistinguishable variance within a group (species ?) could, not necessarily be indicative of a separate "species", but the naturally occurring variability due to diet, molt, age, breeding mutation ( like stripes on zebras - say ). I appreciate the observational skills you clearly possess, however, unless one can follow a single bird throughout a lifetime, and repeat that process with many individuals of that species, it is doubtful that one will find there are so many "sub-species", just naturally occurring variability due to cross-breeding & variety of plumage. Keep up the videos, but maybe use one color for text instead of a rainbow, which reeks of amateur, which you clearly are not. Thanks. I'm immeasurably grateful that I found your channel. T H A N K S ❗👍 🏁 winner !

A cockatoo is any of the 21 species of parrots belonging to the family Cacatuidae, the only family in the superfamily Cacatuoidea. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cockatoo , en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parrot Either the word parrot means something different where you are, or you are mislead.
