I love the second approach of early/late - can be super effective when you're trying to communicate emotion!

That is inspiring! Fresh ideas for my practice. Cool lesson, I also love the second approach, never tried before that concept

This feels like a part two or three of a lesson that I have missed. The major Pentatonics?
@AdamLevyGuitarTips

Nope - this is a standalone lesson. Should I do a more fundamental lesson on major pentatonics?

Founded you because of the Dipped for Tone Podcast. Your Guitartips are great. Playing 30 years but never had an explanation like this for improvisation. Thank you so much. Your new album is also great. 👍

Trying to focus and watch this to learn something but every phrase just melts my brain.

Fantastic lesson - clear, logical, utilitarian, and illustrated by wonderful playing. I've been doing a lot of this stuff for years, but only by wandering around in a fog guided by intuition and ear until I stumble over something. I'm looking forward to rolling up my sleeves and learning the map!

Otis sent me! That last part sounded similar to what David Rawlings played on Barroom Girls for Gillian Welch. Or maybe that was you…?

Definitely Rawlings on that.
