2:28 Yeah, see I saw that and I thought it was a technical issue. Not that I know they're doing this shit intentionally now I'm pissed. Because cutting you the audio is one thing. I can understand you censoring the audio. But you cutting the feed that's the problem!
It was fox. Can’t have f bombs going over airwaves where they are accessible to anyone with an antenna or local affiliates will get fined. Not sure why they didn’t just cut audio though.
Smackdown on Fox was unwatchable. I turned it off during Logan Paul's entrance. I don't understand why this is happening. Every live event in the US is on a 5 second delay. Why doesn't fox or WWE mute the audience and pipe in generic crowd noise, which they do already for certain situations. And if you remember, this goes back to Rocks return where fox blacked out the screen because someone had a "Die Rocky Die" sign. Mind you, Fox has had Married with Children, the Simpson's, Family Guy, American Dad, and a number of other shows that they created that had far worse than Die Rocky Die in it.
I don't know what happened to FOX in recent years. It used to be the "renegade network" of the Big 4 broadcast networks, but now... But, my "change the channel" moment with SmackDown was the go-home show before Clash at the Castle. Man, that crowd would not let Cody and Styles do their promo properly!
Luckily in UK we didn't get any cut outs we heard everything and saw everything I feel for you guys guess this justifies the netflix move, at least then you get to watch everything intended in thees big angles
@@tinmandwNo, both Raw & Smackdown are moving to Netflix. The Fox deal is up in September / October, with Smackdown being on USA together with Raw until end of the year. Then both on Netflix as of January 1, 2025.
Well that was the first mention of Andy Murray in the last few months 👀 🤔 Hope the guy is alright and just stepping away from the camera. I think he is on of the top people in the company and could just be doing more logistics.
I can triple confirm. Nothing was cut from the Canadian feed. I wish I could say the same about TSN and AEW. For Rampage and Collision, which we pay extra to see via the TSN app. Most of the time they give us the feed from the US TNT network, which means we are given the U.S. commercials. They occasionally give us the direct satellite feed on Collision with no commercials. We pay extra for that. We shouldn’t be seeing any commercials !
❤Thank you for making my Sunday morning extra bright! You help everyday people get through the week. I look forward to my solo Sunday news! Thanks for everything you do! ❤
AEW shows are not too long. Literally almost every single PPV is 4 hours. I have them all. The amount of matches can be too much sometimes, but the PPVs themselves are not too long. Pre shows have extended a little. The fact we're paying for 10 matches within a 4 hour time period is definitely money well spent. It's not the fault of the company I'd you live in Europe and the time difference is an issue.
Toni Storm's promo from Collision June 29th, 2024 was amazing. I got goosebumps like 3 times during it and I'm not even that excited about here match at Forbidden Door today. 😄👍
Maybe my memory is failing me but I don't recall the type of heavy handed censorship going on currently prior to the announcement of Smack Down going to USA next year. But again, I'm old and can't remember what I had for dinner last night.
Particularly against AEW I mean there's nothing wrong with not enjoying it as much as WWE, but the whole 'WWE is awesome, AEW is terrible' rhetoric is beyond tiresome
I was only 8 when it happened, but my mum remembers the night Owen Hart died. She doesn’t watch wrestling much anymore but when I told her Jeff Jarrett was in the Owen Cup she got really emotional. Even if he doesn’t win, I’m glad he’s able to participate and pay tribute to his friend
Yes, Fox. You have all manners of programming that people may find questionable, especially those with homosexual themes, but yeah, make sure you censor the Pro Wrestling programme.
I just don't understand it,The crowd has been saying Holy Shit! To wrestling since the god damn 90s,Who cares now all of a sudden?WE ALLOW BASICALLY ANYTHING EVERY WHERE ELSE,WHO CARES AT THIS POINT!!!
Don’t worry we’ll get smackdown on Netflix in 2027. Netflix just wants to make sure they profit off RAW when it comes. Once they do they’ll start creating contracts for Smackdown and NXT
So I know the one guy EVERYONE wants to see in TNA from WWE main roster is Aj Styles but I feel like he'd have to go to NXT as this relationship seems to be more NXT TNA then TNA and WWE main roster. However Styles mates are in NXT at the moment so....
Fox has always had a double standard concerning wrestling. Most of the time their own programming has pushed the envelope much harder and further than WWE has. Look at the various primetime soaps and reality shows that Fox has aired over the years for example. And all of that has aired in the same 8-10 pm timeslot that Smackdown occupies. So what makes Family Guy and the so-called "reality" shows get less censorship than Smackdown? Double standard, pure and simple.
So for me I dont mind bleeping out or muting the swear (for example bleep u solo bleep u pacers) but I think its going too far when u cant watch the segement entirely. I don't know if this is because its "live and they cant mute the crowd" but isnt it on tape delay for this kind of thing? Just bleep it or "mute u solo" as as someone with young kids yeah I dont want them hearing swear words because the crowd isnt PG even if the product is.
I would pay good money to just have both/all shows live or next day on peacock or netflix or what not. get it off corp tv, for the love of god reduce the amount of ads cause this 2 mins of content and 20 mins of ads is getting ridiculous.
Yeah.. I heard the chants here in Canada as well. While they were a little muted I suppose, but I could hear them clear as day. Solo has built up H E A T, brother.
Fox is almost done running WWE so why just be a patent for a 4 more months, then you can hear all the f**k you solo and the rest of the swearing you guys crave.
Yeah they blacked it out and took the sound away it was BS as a viewer can’t wait to go streaming so theirs no censorship about what they may say to a point I would figure
They don't have a choice. Because FOX is basic cable (free) instead of a cable network (have to pay for it) they have to adhere to a very strict set of rules as to what is allowed to be broadcast. Yes you can mute audio, however you can't mute a fan who is making a gesture or holding a sign that has something on it that can't be broadcast. The only way to deal with that is black out the picture. Is it absolutely dumb that they have to do it? Yes. Do they have to do it anyway? Yes.
Will Netflix also have like old pay-per-views and stuff like that? I'm in Canada so I have to use Sportsnet now but it's terrible. It only has like the major pay-per-views and still missing a lot of those.
I watch the Zero Hour/free preview matches because I'm too cheap to get the PPV/PLEs but I still want to get at least a taste of what's going on, what the crowd is like, and what the announcers' moods will be.
It felt like the audio definitely went down a bit for the chants towards Solo, but other than that I didn't have any issues on TNT. As bad as British TV companies are, it seems like American broadcasters really are even worse.
Mate you'd crush the podcast and morning news ^^^ great question and a shame we don't have you on our screens more. It's been a tough time for fans of the channel and everybody knows why. Feels like when they were pushing Roman down our throats before we was ready 😂 we want you Cena! Haha
Exactly and I’m pretty sure the network is protected against crowds during live events since they’re not contracted by either party. I’d love to see this happen during an NFL game.
I was there and the crowd was going crazy and the FU chants were great considering the moment. It feels like both shows should move to Netflix which would end the censorship.
Raw is censored on USA network because WWE has chosen to be a PG product. Chucky which is also on USA network has a mature rating and is allowed to use language up to and including the F word.
