The boxing promoters are currently licking their lips at the thought of profiting millions off of Ngannou, he is prey to them.

He looked and sounded timid and vulnerable, not only did he not have answers it appears that he never even thought of the question. Hopefully that email will finish downloading and Francis can somehow salvage this shipwreck.
What I took away from that Interview is that Dana might be right, Francis sounds super difficult to deal with. UFC; ok Francis, what do you want? Francis; for all UFC fighters to have health care UFC; ok, how about something realistic? Francis; ok then, build an arena and infrastructure so that I can fight in Africa UFC; ok, how about something we can accomplish in this 3 fight contract Francis; I want to box a boxing champion. UFC; you know we do not want to make our fighters look bad by losing to another sport, do you have a manager we can talk to that might ask for something we can do like pay you more? Francis; no I fired them, I think l'm doing good all by myself
Francis comes off terrible in this interview, he doesnt seem like a good person either. I think he is very different when talking to the UFC in private. This performance reminds me of Christian Jon Jones
How about something realistic lol. Really goes to show how much the ufc cares about their fighters. Half the roster won’t remember their names by the time they’re 60 but hey, insurance is just an unreasonable thing to demand for people who get punched in the head for a living for the ufc to pay them 20% of the money they generate.
This is the most hurt we have ever seen Ngannou inside five rounds. Ariel wasn’t even throwing with bad intentions and Ngannou backpedaled the whole time.

If anyone remembers when Jon Jones basically proclaimed himself to be a businessman and Dana White in another interview completely shut that down stating you're not a businessman you're not you're a fighter. This is a perfect example of that.
@El Jugador You’re missing the point mate. Fighters aren’t businessmen. Jon jones management team are business people. He is not. The fact Francis has no manager is irrelevant to what the OP was saying. He made a really good point actually about how this is the perfect example of why fighters aren’t businessmen and need a manager generally speaking.
@@TheLeeBonneris Conor not a business man then? All business people have advisors. If the ufc doesn’t want “businessmen” they shouldn’t call them “independent contractors”, because that makes them their own business, the fighters ARE their business.
Ariel always gives it the talks about having morals, being honest and essentially a good man. Yet, he sat there, knowing the fight game inside out and how it’s full of snakes - especially in boxing, and all he could say was “good job Francis”. He’s so performative.

Ngannou is a bigger name than many other top boxers. Look at some of the people tyson has fought in the past few years: Schwarz,Otto Wallin . I'm sur they are good boxers but not big names. The public may be “cheering” for Francis, and even the fighters, to a point…. But none of them came out to defend him or to even help him not make this mistake. No one in the business is out for him. Where is Kumaru??? Lol. Dude was all in his corner like a year ago and now where is that African brethren spirit? Laughable
Why would Kamaru come help him when he sees his African brother choosing a disastrous path. Why would he also risk his relationship with UFC for Francis.

So a lot of you may have forgotten but Dana White said Ngannou had a serious ego problem after the Stipe loss. Lot of people seem to forget them UFC was pushing Ngannou hard and really was doing their best to make him champ and promote him. Sad to see he never truly got humbled and learned the basics of the business. He had the perfect chance to do real good not just for himself but Camaroon and Africa in whole.
SO... if he signs with another organization, is he gonna ask them to pay for all of their roster's healthcare and ask for things that would jeopardize their own partnerships in addition to more than $8 million per fight ?? this dude ain't very bright
Yeah, I don't exactly see him becoming more "easy to work with" under another promotional banner... so, unfortunately, I can't see this going very well for him.
My opinion is Francis will be back in the UFC soon enough, once some of his close people talk some sense into him, then we will see him try to make a comeback and become champ again, just my opinions
@@bestcocbaseswithlink5069Both of yall don’t know wtf y’all are talking about, Dana is not gonna allow him back in the UFC, even if he comes back begging requesting for 500k
Francis isn't as big of a name as he thinks he is, he keeps talking about respect but it's been over a year since his last fight, which was a controversial close decision which he supposedly won via wrestling. I don't think any boxing promotion is going to be begging Francis to join their organisation off of that.
Francis: “I was willing to compromise, I wasnt asking for much” Also Francis: walks away from a deal to be the most paid heavyweight in the history of the sport for not also getting the UFC to breach their deal with venom, or health insurance for 200+independent contractors who on average fight once a year
There is currently like 620 fighters on the roster.... Francis is literally asking for the UFC to use 100s of millions of dollars to break their signed contract deal with Venum AND giving HC for fighters with no actual say of how HC works lmao

He wants to see it all burn, and if he can have Ngannou on as a guest exposing the way ufc operates contractually, even with the repercussions Ngannou will face, he still does it care and adds fuel to the fire. It’s in his blood. They have been kicked out of so many lands for a reason.
I am African and I thought Francis leaving UFC might be his biggest mistake he is earning more than he ever would if he lived in Cameroon, he chose to live in USA if they tax him that's on him he could have stayed in France.. his manager or agent marquel was making him think he is Jon Jones dude hasn't even been champion or cleaned out the league to demand that much but he is also up there in age soon ...
you dont seem to understand how money making works. He is the bait, the fish will come, give it time. The fact that he did not lose his belt makes him the only heavy weight champion in UFC history to leave at the highest point. There is no way on earth he does not make far more anywhere else he goes. The way he is answering the questions, you can tell that he is saying far less than he knows. He is struggling to answer not because he lacks the words but because he was probably coached to say what he is saying. you gotta wonder what he is worth in total, his last ppv did 200k buys with cyril, champs with more buys than that get less then 1mil sometimes. he just gave up 8 mill to fight john jones, who would at most take him down and ground and pound him a bit. whats he gonna earn now? his hype will slowly die out and promoters of boxing see his 200k buys against the most exciting prospect in ufc heavyweight, he will not generate many buys against aj/fury aswell most likely.

I swear when he said something about Francis Ngannou Promotions we made the same face 😂😩. I really feel like it’s the inactivity that got him in this position. The knee surgery probably put the ufc in a weird situation where they just didn’t want to wait on him while the heavyweight landscape was getting a resurgence. Basically making the entire boxing community become the side character in his personal movie lmaooo. And then hearing this interview where Ngannou is saying "I don't have a manager, I don't check emails, and I turn my phone off to chill"... that right there is possibly enough for any promotion to say "nahh this guy's more trouble to deal with than he's worth.
