I would like him as a cheaper Bertuzzi for sure, just sad we already had him and traded away just like all of our physical forwards in the past! But you HAVE to sign Domi 1st!
That was Dubass , nickname Waldo, didn't want anyone physical on his team. Dubass built a team after his physical attributes, this is why he traded Joshua and Marchment
@crystalborne8315 yeah while I'd have rather Dubas not have traded him, but I don't think he becomes the player he is today without Berube unlocking him in STL. Hindsight 20/20, but I don't think neither Babs nor Keefe turns Joshua into what he is now
Joshua plays 3rd line center. Bertuzzi top 6 winger. You should add both since they fill needs. Not sure why you say one or the other. Quite easy to fit both contracts long term. On top off that we have $22+million in cap space opening up 2025-2026 season.
Joshua for 4 years at 3.3 would be a must sign opportunity if that presents itself to the Leafs. Far better investment than Bertuzzi for more than 4 years or more than 4 million.
@@DavidMartinez-q6y so if his salary is the difference between being able to sign two big name defencemen or 1 big d man and a goalie or keep reavo what do you think he’s going to do?
@@austonsplatpoo1705 if it’s to Vegas or Nashville I could see it. Why stay with a team that you know can’t afford you and doesn’t really want you anymore rather than go to a team where you’re there best player
@@shanebrohm7786 best player as far as points in the regulars season? Or best player in the playoffs? I'd far rather have Saros or Josi or Eichel or Theordore. Not saying they'll get them. Just contradicting your best player comment.
@@nerrawnarco5632 best player in the regular season for sure. Vegas doesn’t have anyone that contributes to the game as much as Marner does. Also, you’ve only ever seen him play in the playoffs on the leafs. Nobody knows how he’d fair on another team
@@shanebrohm7786 like brad said be careful what you read out there leaf’s can easily afford him cap going up Tavares coming off team will be better with marner regardless
Spending $3+M on someone like him is crazy. I'd bet the Leafs could find an equivilant decent player who isn't given qualifing offer for a fraction of the price.
