MAJOR Structural Chassis Repairs On Mat Armstrong's Classic BMW E24 635 CSI - Restoration EP6

After doing that lower back chassis repair in the last video on Mat Armstrong's BMW E24 635 CSI, we then headed over to the front of the chassis rail to get that cut out and investigatd. Safe to say it wasnt good. In this video we set about repairing thatfront chassis rail and making handmade panels to perfectly fit in.
This chassis rail is really getting there and it wont be long until it is done and we are stripping the rear running gear to get it on a rotisserie!!!
We still have lots of repairs to do and this is certainly a challenge, but we are up for it and will have this beauty back on the road in no time!

@@Yassaganni I would agree, but this series is going to generate a fair sum of money due to the number of viewers/ followers. It's more about content than the actual viability of repairing this wreck. Still it does dispel the myth of German engineering.😮😂

Amazing work. I've inadvertently ended up doing restoration work (I specialise in Mitsubishi Evo's) so I can appreciate the sheer effort that it takes to do this, and how much of a dirty horrible job it is. It's certainly very therapeutic to watch you doing it, much more than actually doing it 😂

I love that a car most wpuld have scrapped is being brought back to life. Anything is saveable, alot of people just arent willing or are to scared to learn the skills necessary to do it. Youre absolutely killing this resto, would love to spend a few days with you sharpening my own skills

This is hypnotic. I keep having to back and watch it again. German steel...its about as good as Vauxhall used in the Victor 101. I have a '91 BMW E36, the front drivers side sill near the jacking point has gone. I'm frightened to look how far its gone.

These guys are amazing using a cut off wheel. They are able to make very precise cuts in close quarters using a tool that I’d just hack everything to bits with. I respect the skill of these tradesmen.

Hello 👋 Ryan I have been looking forward for this video I watched the one last Sunday were you made the chassis rail for it and man I tell you what I was like a kid in a candy 🍬 store watching I loved every minute of it and I said well that chassis rail belongs in a museum because it is a work of art 🎨 I love it.
