I think some of the animals know that they are being watched and put on a little show lol. Area 52 looks so nice and peaceful. 2.5miles is better then zero miles. Have a merry Christmas and happy new year !

That was a great video to watch ! Enjoyed ! As a fairly new follower, I wonder in which area is that land ? Somewhere north Ontario I think you stated ? How to you keep track of the trails you do ? is it far from home ? :D Just curious about the logistic and all :) Anyhow, as we're 2023, I hope your doing ok (at least better). All the best !

Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for stopping by! We live in Northwestern Ontario, Dryden area. We use a GPS to keep track of our trails and our property is about 15 minutes away from where we live. Thanks for the well wishes, and we hope to get out more this year!

I know...one day running around in the bush to the lake, next day limping, next week - 3 legs....at least amputation was an option and we sill have him. Dogs are so resilient!

Sadly, this isn't the case with Lyme....some of the meds are but most aren't...I think we're up to around $25K now, but compared to what some spend so far we have been "lucky"...if you can call it that LOL

Hey guys! Nice too see a video from you two! Your not going too believe this! My son & his girlfriend just adopted a kitten with three legs! We were thinking of names for him & I said call him Trike! They liked it but were going too think about it for a few days. You know what they called him!? Oliver! How ironic is that! And It's also the right front leg that's missing! Anyway if we don't see anything from you two for a bit I'd just like to say Merry Christmas & have a Happy New Year! Cubby glad your feeling better & hope you continue getting well. We are using the Browning Recon Force Extreme trail cameras...really happy with the quality. Just deployed a 4K version so hoping it catches some cool stuff too!

on a serious note tho, I don't know anything about lime diease and I ride everyweekend live on vancoouver island, I'm kinda werid about it, should I be scared of it or am I even at risk here? wondering if theres a video about it and what happens I'm concerned about getting it sounds terrible

Do you have ticks on Vancouver Island? If you don't then no worries as the ticks can infect you with Lyme when they bite you. As long as you make sure you do thorough tick checks when you get back from riding you should be fine. Not getting bit is the best prevention!

It is amazing how quickly Dogs & Cats recover and adapt after surgery like this. Us Humans would spend months brooding over 'how we look' and aches and pains,... oh well, the main thing here in this video is that Oliver is mending rather well, and is getting on with his life. Great to see Cubbee out and about again, and to see a video from you two. All the best and Cheers for this Christmas season, to CK and Cubbee!

You two sure have a lot of critters running around out at area 52 (and wild chainsaws growing out of trees - 15:27 - lol). Poor Oliver! Your pups have sure been through a lot. Yet their tails keep wagging. We can all learn something from that. I told Cubbee it sounded like "the bad word" at 1:15 but it was actually "sucking" wind LOL We had a fun ride and it was a beautiful day to be out there. Our pups have had their challenges for sure, just so thankful we still have them with us. Dogs are so resilient! Oliver's little tail never stops. We can definitely learn a lot from them.

Supercool guys, good to see you're out enjoying some fresh air. That lyme disease has been going on a while now, how's the experience with the medical system... or should I ask? I live in BC and it's always been a concern of mine that our govt doesn't/didn't acknowledge lyme disease. I pulled a tick out a few years back, had the bullseye and some sickly feelings for a week... my quack doctor told me to shake it off, I'd be fine. Your dog's adjusted well, that's awesome! My 13yr old chocolab has been in a wheelchair since spring, otherwise happy full of love. Uggh, pets... Thanks, appreciate you stopping by. Sadly the medical system has been a real struggle and if it wasn't for a couple of really helpful people along the way who were willing to help....it would have been even worse than it actually has been. Cubbee never had a bullseye but from what we know, if you have a bullseye then it's a given you have the bacteria in you. Can't believe your doctor told you to "shake it off". Don't get me going.... LOL Hopefully your immune system was strong enough to fight it of, but if you ever notice weird symptoms...look to Lyme first! Your sweet girl Maggie is an inspiration...love her wheelchair and the video shows how well she gets around! We want to be able to take Oliver for "bush" walks again one day as he loves them, so we will be looking into a wheelchair for front leg amputees. Thanks so much for the kind words and for sharing your video!
