MAJOR VIPER ACR DEFECT FOUND FAULTY WIRING CAUSES REAR WINDSHIELD FAILURE!

This was honestly quite scary. While on Crown Rally Alpha Run, we came across 2 vipers pulled over. One of which seemed like it had it's airbags deployed. Upon further investigation, we find out they had stopped for food just as we had originally, but an electrical defect from the Dodge factory acted up and shattered the rear windshield! We thought maybe this was a one year issue, but according to the owner, this was happened numerous times and is a known issue with Dodge Viper ACRs. Why wasn't this recalled by Dodge? It boggles my mind that this was never addressed on such an expensive supercar!

The gas station you were at with the broken back glass on the viper..I live about 3 minutes from there. I wondered the same thing. Especially knowing it could happen. That's the first thing i would of done to eliminate the risk. But maybe rear defog is wired into something he needs. Normally isnt and one it's own circuit, however these arnt normal cars either so hard to say

Why not just disconnect the defrost wire from the terminal on the glass? Or if it's made into the glass then just disconnect the wire harness connector.
