Honestly, I seriously doubt they would listen if we players just complained or refused to spend. The real reason for the rollback was a lawsuit the CN players filled against MiHoyo for consumer fraud. Which makes sense to be honest, since a lot of people spent money on Neuvillette and some quite a lot for his constelations including those who did on his rerun too, when the spin2win was already widely known about and used. I don't think they would do anything let alone this quickly if it wasn't for the threat of the CN government getting involved.
If thats the case then I doubt this will be the last lawsuit that we see brought up, even CN is upset about the lack of skin diversity. Yea that spin2win was in the game for a long time and was known about bad part on Mihoyo.
@@MilnGatcha Skin diversity isn't a huge enough issue for a legal threat tho. It sucks that it keeps happening, but there actually isn't a law in China under which diverse representation would fall (and depending on the kind of diversity, some is actually limited or straight up banned). In Neuvillette's case, MiHoyo actually oversteped that far for a lawsuit to take place. Don't get me wrong, the unlimited rotation is definitely a bug and should have been fixed, however, what MiHoyo did wasn't a fix for the bug, but they actually nerfed Neuvillette so the conditions for the bug to occur was no longer possible to meet. If I understand it correctly, the game wasn't handling Neuvillette's charged attack with high enough speed well, allowing his range limits to become elevated. If they've fixed the range breaking it's limits, it wouldn't have an effect on his normal gameplay without abusing the bug. What they did instead, they've opted for lowering the overal speed for his charge attack to no longer be able to become overwhelming for the game under any circumstances, which had a significant effect on his normal gameplay and it was by definition a nerf. So technically speaking, they nerfed him so he could no longer trigger the bug and called it fixing the bug that was pretty much left untouched. Now add to it the fact that it have happened 9 months after discovering the bug (players have litterally found this the day Neuvillette came out) and that we're also getting new limited hydro DPS character soon. That would've passed as a fraud if brought to court, no wonder they've backed out as soon as CN players started with reporting. Something every single major game developer can tell you, that you should never ever f*ck with the CN government.
