I hate that they diddnt do that because we could see that everyone can get a happy ending but isn't the groom supposed to be by the alter or pulpit before the bride?that's the one thing that ticked me off..if I were Anju I'd smack him the second he walked up to me and say I don't and tell him e could still be friends but if he ever disappears again I will kill him and drag him to the curiosity shop and leave his dead body there and leave a note that says:your next
If you think about it hard enough... This Link has seen some messed up shit.😮 He ruined his childhood by traveling through time to save Hyrule, he has seen a ruined future, He witnessed death, AND the world of Termina ending countless of times only to travel back and have everyone act like it's completely normal when Link is the only disturbed one being surrounded by a happy town...🙁
actually I think this link is one if the bravest despite termina seeing doomed he still saved it (also I think links memory of the future is erased since it technically doesn't happen in the child timeline the only thing he remembers is navi
@@maverickdarkrath4780 Old but, he clearly remembers, considering he left to search for Navi, the companion he's had the entire journey. Hero's Shade which is OoT/MM Link is stated to be his regrets of not being remembered as a hero, never to pass down his skills to those after him. And that's all in the child timeline.
I remember when I completed this game in 2018 and I was INCONSOLABLE. I was beside myself with tears. Three parts made me cry in particular: when the scientist is throwing his daughter up and down in Ikana Canyon, when Anju is getting married (like I full on lost it) and when you see the Skull Kid’s drawing on the tree stump. There is something about this game that just haunts me so much. Maybe because it’s such a tragedy. One of my absolute favourites
The real sad moment here is when you realise this is the last moment we see Link alive and well before Twilight Princess where we meet his decayed undead form.
If you notice, the POV shows Anju looking at someone her size. The only reason they didn't show Kafei was because that would mean making a whole new model just for one cutscene.
@@ebafan9558 I don't believe it, in fact from what I know he does turn back into an adult (and in the wedding scene the camera is at adult height from what some people have said).
You know, for doing choices like, getting Anju and Kafei together, you'd think they'd be undone after playing the song of time. But, even if you do go back in time, as long as you have achieved the couple's mask and finished the game, the deed won't be undone. Anju and Kafei still get married. The same goes for all of your actions, Lulu has her voice back, the Deku Princess is saved, the Gorons are okay, all of the deeds are not undone. The reason? Likely the masks themselves. The Happy Maskman said it himself; the masks are filled with happiness. Happiness that cannot even be shattered by temporal interference.
This ending was so satisfying after having to see the same three days repeatedly from so many angles. Played the original. I feel the 3ds version tried to recapture the feel of the n64 version. The n64 version looked subtle with hints of danger, like you see the sunrise about to occur before the moon falls. In this one, it makes it clearly obvious something is about to happen after the final day and so many hues of red in the air.
The end were Anju married made me cry. And also it was so epic, seeing Link with Epona riding back to hyrule in the woods. Especially the music around 14:10 was so epic, I shivered!
This is the only ending I've seen. I just found out that there's a difference when you don't collect all the masks. Next I'm going to collect as little as possible.
Adult kafei isnt even an npc. he doesnt exist. when tingle is about to drop confetti and the camera is behind him, you can see the very bottom of Anju's dress in the place he should be standing. so thats why if you do the forth day glitch he isnt there during the wedding. He simply doesnt have an adult form. We will only ever get to see him as a child.
When 11:40 came i just cried its sad cause you feel the game had emotions to it and at the end the skull kid got a friend im just crying so hard inside ill always cherish this game but the one game i cherish most is Oot.
The reason why I play 3DS only now is because when we were moving my parents wouldn't let me get the adapter or the controllers for my N64, being my favorite game consoles, so I snuck in 3 of my favorite games and the N64 its self, Majora's Mask being one of them. My dad (17 years ago) defeated the game on both memory slots (I deleted one a year ago by accident) and I am trying to beat it still. At the sale they sold some of the more unknown rarer games for three dollars (which most of them were worth over $100.) The point of this comment is to say, I still cry at the end of Majora's Mask due to hating myself for letting my games get deemed useless.
Fun fact, it would mean a whole new character model in the game. My favorite story about this kind of design is that MM is just OOT reskinned with a few new things and not a whole new game, which is why it was easier to develop faster. Another one is FFX and FFX-2 where Lulu has the same model even though she is pregnant in X-2. There is even a joke in the dialogue saying she does not look pregnant. But like MM with the chairs and Dotour and Anju's grandma, they are not making a whole new model.
Am i the only one who finds it weird that this whole link adventure is partly tatl's fault and at the end she basically just tells link to go away while they enjoy the carnival xd. I mean at least link could stay for a bit after what he has done for termina.
Fr!! that kept bothering me!! 😆 and you know how Skullkid goes "I know what we'll do!" Before he's cut off by Happy Mask Salesman? He probably wanted to invite Link to the carnival with them
The draw in the log represents the development that Link have made, he started searching for his friend Navi, but at the end he founded out that there are more people, friends come and go but the life still, and the most important thing it's that he made the right thing helping all that people, and that it's rewarded with the friendship of Skull Kid and the fairies
I loved the Ocarina of Time ending. But this one had a unique representation of its own. All Zelda games have beautifully haunting endings. Yet Majora's Mask had an ending depending on which sidequest you managed to complete. I don't think there was any other Zelda game with such an ending.
@@ticklinjules The Majora we saw in Majora's Mask was only an incarnation of Majora. Majora herself/itself is basically just evil Hylia and is one of the most powerful beings Link has fought. Just a fraction of her power was able to bring the moon down and almost destroy Termina and possibly the rest of the planet, imagine what full powered Majora would look like in a future Zelda game. As I said, Majora's Mask isn't Majora herself, it is an object that is an incarnation of her presence, so it's basically a failed copy but it still contains tons of power. Having Majora as a villain would probably be the final villain of the Legend of Zelda series if it ever comes. She is more powerful than Ganon in any form he has been in, she is basically the same as Hylia but just evil. We would need Hylia herself to help in order to defeat her.
You know how all the masks you transform into resemble dead people right? Well the deku mask is the deku butlers son because at the start Tatl says the tree reminds her of how you look as a deku sprout . The Butler is seen mourning over the same tree so it means Your the deku butlers son!
4:52 i don’t understand how people hate Navi when Tatl exists. I was so mad in that part, he saves everyone and that’s what she says?? at least invite him! >:( ok i needed to get that out of my chest, sorry kdkdks
Well, Link didn't look like he really wanted to stay, she knew that he had a friend to find. I know Tatl was a jerk but she slowly becomes a better friend to Link twords the end.
She understood link about losing a great friend. Navi. it seems like link found closure and headed home where he belonged. Sometimes its very hard for even a hero to move on from grief
I know I'm very late but for those who hate Tatl play or finish the game again after you clear or defeat Majora/final boss. Go to the top of the clock tower and face skull kid again, You will see Tatl's good side where she change or thr game/nintendo changed her dialogue it becomes "I know youwanna go in there" and she gonna say that she admire link for not giving up until the very end. :)
I like to think that Link makes one last round through all of Termina to fix all the issues he didn't get to in the cycle where he stops the moon, which explains how everyone is seen with a happy ending and also why he makes a stop to perform as Zora Link.
I paused at 9:47 just to see is Kafei, because in the original version all you see are silhouettes and a bright white background and no kafei. It just occurred to me the reason Kafei is not in the crowd in the 3D version is because they never INCLUDED an adult Kafei in the original version to begin with! SO MAD.
well, the gorons had nothing to do in the city, they are quiet in their town doing careers. In short, there isn't much to know about them that we don't know
Whenever there is a meeting, a parting is sure to follow. However, that parting need not last forever. Whether a parting be forever or merely a short time... That is up to you. -Happy mask salesman. It feels like this piece of context was directed to the player and link together. I know its referenced towards Navi's sudden departure. As a kid i always always and always wondered the true meaning to it. Was it wisdom, life advice, or on what to do with grief? The salesman sounds like he is reminding me the truth in reality that i have human to make choice. As strange as it sounds, time really has full control of life. The beauty of the inevitable. I believe link chose to help others without realizing he was also helping himself
That's so sad. All the people Link see as friends reject him in the end so he decides to impersonate Lulu's dead boyfriend. I will not debate the morality of that, but I guess loneliness make you do the strangest things.
Once, again. At the end they hinted they might make a remake of Minish Cap. Vaati the Wind Mage's signature chuckles is heard in both the end of the trailer and the end of the credits. And i'm gonna pay it forward with my eternal soul.
Melanie Whitt theory is that he got Lost in time and all the regrets and lonelyness make him a stalfos cant remember the name but he is the one that teaches twilight link the sword tecniques
I used to think that as well, but if you take some other things into consideration, you’ll realize that the many different wavelengths that cross into certain boundaries of Terminas inhabitants can’t be overlooked, unless examined on a more sensible scale. What you’ll then discover is that, the behavioral traits among those life forms can interject when new, less obvious, instances come into play during a play through of the whole game, not just half. You’ll start to see what I mean when that evidence presents itself to you, or anyone who also is playing as well. When you separate the good and evil life forms in this game, and discover the grey area, or average values, only then can you simplify the reoccurring generalizations the game developers didn’t want us to see, until we’ve experienced the beginning and end of the game. Only then, can you actually begin to come to that conclusion on your own. But yes, I do agree with your comment, so don’t get me wrong; I’m just trying to help you realize that there are many other factors here at play, in addition to the ones that you mentioned in your original post.
