I have taken Spain, the islands and the Canaries off my go to list. They do not want tourism and I am happy to oblige. Greece and Italy this year for me.
In 1985 I had my first ever 'flyaway' hoilday with my wife and 2 little children (5 & 3). It was for 2 weeks and we stayed at a place called Millor Sol in Cala Millor. Cala Millor was very nice. We hired a little Fiat Panda for a few days and travelled everywhere and I mean everywhere. When not in the little car we would walk from Cala Millor up to Cala Bona. Cala Bona was really nice and quiet with a small harbour and sprinkling of places for lunch. Thank you for your post. It showed to me why you should never go back!!
any cala bona locals on these marches?? just wondering. I thought they were marching against over tourism. not against the British. oh well you learn something new every day.🤔
@@jasonlowes223 That's the way the national news broadcast it...And they say that alot of the British are staying away as a result.. Hence the low tourist figures in some "usually popular destinations.
Kevin, I would not have been happy at having a mug shot taken, in fact, I would have probably refused, and then what would have happened. Whatever the reason, I think it is like being treated like a criminal.
Been here 20 or more times and love it! Back in July. And the Beatles are fantastic, as they don't just sing the obvious tracks, they do some real classy numbers. Enjoy.👍👍
Just come back from Cala bona, our hotel was good but the resort looked like Blackpool! 3 couples in our hotel thought the same & weren’t going back, our brochure said it was a charming fishing village with rustic charm, we kept looking for it 😂couldn’t find it, so English 🤔
They just wanted a picture of their famous guest! 🙂 Stayed in Cala Bona about 30 years ago, as a kid. We had a hotel at the back of the resort, but the resort looks much bigger now. We walked into Cala Millor most days as there was more going on. Spent 1 day playing footy on the beach with Nigel Clough (then at Forest) and his mates, with Brian watching on (they had a villa in Cala Millor). Nice memories.
Cala Bone-a is a lovely resort, (sshh, keep it quiet). I’ve stayed at the Catalonia for the last 2 Septembers, it’s a great Hotel & Pool area, best going late Sept when the kids have gone back to school. We read on the comments that the food was cold….Not so, unless maybe you are sitting under an A/C Unit. We had Breakfast & Evening Meal there most nights, with plenty of choice. Great Staff & clean rooms.
Yes, in Flamingo Oasis in Benidorm photo taken on check in. It was card for all inclusive, no wristbands. Also noticed in Zafira Rey don Jaime in Santa Ponsa photo from passport came up on the wee scanners they use when checking in to restaurant when going for meals. No wristbands there either
Hi Kevin we were at Cala Bona last year... lovely wee resort...& so relaxed. We wandered along to Cala Millor and Sa Coma. There's plenty going on, for a nice wee holiday. Keep up the great work 👍
Never heard off a hotel taking a photo I would not like that Kevin only been to Mallorca once and stayed in Cala bona loved it. Oh and greet to here my homeland accent Not been back to Scotland since the 80s
I'm here just now, won't be back. Got food poisoning from mussels at Taska, two days stuck in hotel room. That can happen anywhere but Cala Bona just feels totally down market. We didn't have a pic taken at Hipotel which is very nice. There's a big Covid spike on the island at the moment, nobody's telling the tourists that.
My first holiday abroad. Just brought back memories of the hotel we stayed in. The hotel calabona opposite the harbour we stayed there in 1979 when I was just 9 years old. Brilliant memories.
They used to take photos for security reasons in some of the All Inclusive Hotels about 15 years ago so you could book to go to a sister hotel in the area for dinner and entertainment at no extra cost. The Levante Hotel in Cala Bona has first-class entertainment and the food is really good it is one of my favorite areas in Majorca the walkthrough to Cala Millior in the evening is so relaxing plenty of bars and restaurants to stop for a wee drink I highly recommend it.
The cala bona Hotel have always taken a picture of you incase of any trouble in the area. After the first time it is taken you don't need to do it again
Just along from the hotel California in the alleyway, they used to be a little shop. It’s sold Cornish pasties, steak slices, sausage rolls and pork pies.
Stayed in Hotel Cala Bona last September had a fantastic week. Our room was on the top floor under the word Bona. Food was exceptional and top entertainment. Drinks weren’t cheap. Highly recommend and will deffo return.
came across this on a cruise and 3 day stay in cala bona stayed in the cala bona hotel did not no what to expect that was 4 year ago been every year since absolutely loved it the entertainment in the cala bona hotel is the best i have ever came across and i have been about and the food is better than cruise ship standards you have to try the evening meals you wont eat out then kev if the motown group is on in the cala bona hotel 2 lads 2 lasses they will blow you away the best i have ever seen i did comment on one of your clips in majorca and said you have to go to cala bona its a hidden gem i ham over the moon you are there kev enjoy
When I went to Corfu 21yrs ago you had to leave Your passport at the Hotel reception when you got the bus until you were getting back on one to return to the airport to return Ha Ha 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Been a couple of time to the hotel cala bona ,nice hotel decent food and entertainment, can walk to cala millor stopping for a drinks break along the way ,nice resort.
Why would anyone come to a travel blog to leave such hateful comments? I find that very sad. The guy is chirpy and gives a lot of information in his vids. Please be kind people.
Iam not sure I would be letting any hotel take a mug shot of me Kev,well not outside of Russia anyway, that's weired is that everyone that stays there or just you Kev 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Sa Coma wasnt bad too,but that was about 15 years ago for my family. Sa Coma,Cala Millor and Cala Bona look lovely and my daughter and her kids have just returned from Cala Bona after 2 years in a row and loved it. It looks great. If you prefer expensive, wet and miserable Britain then visit Kev's home country of Scotland. Great people, lovely locations but terrible weather. Those protests were about over tourism and not anything to do with Nationalities. Never listen to the British media if you've got an ounce of sense. No wonder youngsters don't buy newspapers or watch much telly any more. Neither should us older generations either.
Spain and the canaries want to make it difficult for us with their visa type entry and having to pay for the privilege so I will be going somewhere else when they start it in October.
All this is media nonsense but most of spain and the islands are getting very expensive to get there. Just been to Turkey all inclusive guaranteed weather and the people are fantastic and the price was at least 40% cheaper than spain. I know you can shop around book separate etc but some of us just like the all in one package less hassle. keep up the great work Kevin your channel is a gem.
we stayed in hotel don hynme or somthing lol there used to be a great chip shop up that way the harry seycom used to go to lol is liverpool pub still there
Mate 4 repetitive vids a day ? ..i get your after views and you seem a good kid but one 25 min QUALITY VIDEO with dimensions in it and good editing ,i recon youd get 20k easy ..an am a scotsman anaw pal 👍
I based everything on data I know what works well, 3 videos today were in different resorts also lol. Feel free to prove me wrong there are channels that do this much better.
@@ScotsmaninTenerife No privacy during day and open to theft day and night. Hotel Cala Bona any superior room good for disabled including sea view and food is a lot better.
My last time for sure. Hadn't been for a while and things have definitely gone very down market. The island is a bit of a pig sty in too many places and overrun with stray cats. Prices are astronomical too.
