An old quote " A lie is halfway around the world before the truth has got its boots on." It doesn't help British media are hardly people you'd trust on any matter.
main stream media try to persuade people to stay in the UK the Sun for example will headline something like "Scorching" Skegness, Brighton etc saying temperatures are higher than Majorca or Malta then highlight a scenario where someone had a bad experience (does happen) and decry all the resorts, yes you do get the odd day when temperatures are quite high but you cannot beat an actual holiday in a "holiday" resort.
Kevin we all want the holiday but air b and b is totally pricing out the locals and ex pats who move to any holiday place. Spanish government need to move on this but I don't think it's an anti tourist thing

The way you are talking it sounds like Majorca is desperate for tourists. I did not know it was that desperate. To be fair when you give the price you paid for your hotels, that is only for the odd night. It is different for a family booking for a week or two. I can tell you it is very expensive, and that is putting a lot of people of. I have been to Majorca many times and the hotel prices this year have almost doubled.
Kevin why do you listen to all the bad press, best to do what you are doing and not get drawn. Brits aren't stupid we know what to believe and not believe. I watch all of your videos, but you are starting to sound like a paid promotion for the island. All the marches are happening because of the island's poor government, not looking after their residents, and lack of affordable housing. You see something in the press one day and it is gone the next. But if you tubers go on and on about it then it will never calm down. I had not seen any bad press, I heard about it from Alex, again and again and again. Time to give it a rest.
All of this RU-vid stuff going on about Majorca, is starting to put a cloud over the island. best to go somewhere else and have a good holiday away from the moaning and groaning of the Mallorcans. They can stand on their own, they reckon they don't need tourists, mainly the Brits, then let them get on with it. It is always the British that get a bad name. No one else. Strange that all other tourists are perfect, supposedly. Come on all you Brits stand up for yourself and go somewhere else. It is us that is being slammed.
