I used to buy swimming pool items during the end of season sales, fall and winter auctions. They sell like crazy in the Spring. They are dirt cheap in the off season.
Great advice! I hate selling low $ items. You end up being a busy fool. Plus the most times I got neg feedback was on cheap items , buyer thought it was cheap. Ya. You only paid 6$ for it!
Good morning Chris, a perfect $30.00 item is a nice expensive cologne or purfume un-opened in the box like the one you found the other day at the Garage Sale.🤩👍 I LOVE YOUR AWESOME TIPS!!👍👍 THANK YOU FOR YOUR INSPIRATION.😊
@@kristinamiller8369 you could ship it first class as long as it’s below 1 pound and you provide it with enough protection so it doesn’t break in shipping.
I buy a lot of liquidations, on average about 12 pallets at a time. With that I'm also a retail store end buyer. I find that listing a good mix of products helps my store sell more. We also never list the full quantity that we have of a good selling product at once, we've done that but we've also relisted to add more quantity and the relisted item always sells faster. As far as 30+ items for us it's always cosmetics and shoes. We also bundle items in packs of 2 or 3 along with a single listing and people seem to buy the bundles more often since they see a better deal, when in reality all we're doing is giving them the shipping savings from not sending them out one at a time. Keep up the hard work, and thank you for taking the time to teach us.
Definitely into this method - I do wonder though if it’s best to start out listing lower priced items at the very beginning to get some practice, gather reviews & avoid scammers. Then up your game with $30+ items...
I sell rocks and wraps, I am starting out, I use to sell baseball cards and have a 100% feed back and have sold 50-75 sales. now I find no one really looks at it, I have even promoted the items and almost no views on most, I don't understand why It gets no traction.
Small Kitchen appliances. Mixers, blenders, food processors, etc. This stuff sells well even used(just make sure it's clean!). If it's used, extra attraction if you can say that you have the original owner's manual and *all* original parts.
Hi from the UK! Really enjoying the channel and great tips for a newbie like me. Am mostly selling stuff from around the house that I've collected over the years (bit if a hoarder). Have found that my old vintage games and toys do well, over $30 and shoes in great condition. I'm learning all the time thanks to RU-vid :0)
Would you do a step-by-step video how you upload an item to your ebay, mainly I would highly appreciate how you choose the title and the description, I know you have an assistant that does that for you but if not could you give out some tips? I've been struggling with that lately to rank my items, thank you for everything ❤
Good info. One question on the very last step. How long before you start marking your unsolds down? I have been trying to rework my listings that come up for renewal every 30 days. Some items I have are from when I started in March this year. I have no problem blowing them out at cost or selling at a garage sale. I would rather invest that money in something that will sell. Also, where do I find your email address?
I drive Uber/Lyft early in the morning. Then take 20% of those earnings to the Thrift Store, post whatever I find on my eBay account, and I then reinvest the profits.
I go to a place where they sell clothes by the pound , i found a vintage Iron Maiden concert t shirt original 1987 i think i paid 3 dollars for like 10 shirts this one dold for 250 dollars in about 10 minutes been posted
Vintage watches is something I have found that I can pick up cheap and sell for for over 30 dollars profit easy. Also cb radio stuff has paid off really well.
Books, used textbooks, vintage books, if you have a distributor new books. Plenty of titles are well over $30 and you make far more with eBay and media mail than you ever do on Amazon.
Thanks I really like the to the point things to work on. To another point, recently the auction professor made a concerning video regarding a new proposed liability law in California that affects resellers. What are your thoughts about possible liabilities surrounding reselling?
@@soccerrules4017 sometimes just changing a few words, taking a better photo or checking current prices will sell an item . I find if I have an item I noticed hasn't sold I edit it and then it does sell.
Printers and sowing machines sell for good 💰 if you aren't scared to ship them and test them. I have sold sowing machines for 200 that I only paid 10-20$ for
I found a cool looking older pocket watch stopwatch. I posted without to much exact detail. A buyer messaged me the first day and told me exactly what I had was a 1953 Navy Stopwatch. His knowledge and details upgraded the listing price and the item sold within 2 days of relisting for double what i had originally posted it for. Love your idea to mention you would like to hear from customers who have more knowledge on a item.
Love the channel. I have a ton of media listed. Low ticket items. Easy to list(bar code scanner) and I purchase lots on fb marketplace. I’m just racing to 300 positive feedback points. Then i’ll increase my bigger ticket items. Right now 5% of my 200 plus listings are more than 100 dollars and 10 percent are more than 30 dollars. Majority is less than 10 dollars. Less than 3 mins to pull and ship(zebra printer-bulk envelopes) and usps picks them up. I’m following your amazing channel to grow. THANK YOU.
I’m downsizing my home before I get showcased on hoarders 🤣. I have the plan Tilsit 50 items I have here in home this week. Not sure on keywords any suggestions on where to learn on this? I can’t honestly afford the course rn any links to info verY much appreciated
I think what he is saying is look up your item on the platform your are going to list on, the first one that pops up go to that persons listing and copy exactly what they used for description and see if you can see what their key words they are using.🙂
Hmm.. Just looked round the room and saw in the corner a vintage Bullworker isometric exercise thing. Haven't used it in 10 years. And they're hundreds on ebay. Thanks for the energy and ideas as always.
I'm doing a lot of these things naturally. Thanks for the validation. Like your warehouse. Do you rent? My next move is a large building on my property. How High is the ceiling?
great tips i have been watching many of your videos thank you so much I have done ebay for about 12 years now and was only part time , but thinking of going full time. I will be using many of your tips!
Yes..I love the way you think and your advice will work for me as I realized that I prefer selling the few higher-priced items as I get so bogged down with trying to be competitive with lower-priced items that I'm really not competitive at all just working harder for less pay . .🤔
Hi chris, when did you know you wanted to go full time and how did you finance your stock, im currently turning over £1500 a month profit with £7000 worth of stock listed, this is through a year of selling items and buying 2 more to resell and have build up to £7k. I'm tempted to get a load and buy another £7k worth of stock and this would hopefully double my £1500 a month to £3k a month but unsure of the next step, any advise much appreciated 😊 thanks Jon
Some of the stuff that I've sold for over $30: Nintendo Switch Dock Station ($35), Nintendo switch Console only ($90), any given mid range laptop motherboard ($70) on average, vintage branded beer mirror $75, car headlights $50 per headlight on the low end. All on ebay. Bigger items I sell locally on fb marketplace. Car wheels (around $300), old vacuum ($60)
I don't want to be too specific, sealed board games.... guys there are games out there, that can be found at goodwill for $5, I sell for $80+ Average finds for toys are $30+
I sell records and recently started putting my best records in the background of my photos. Not the whole thing but show just enough to peak their interest. The traffic has definitely imroved.
So many gems in this video! Thank U sir! I have a question: For how long of a timeframe does eBay hold my funds as a newbie? Do they do this like the first 50 sales? First 3 months? Year? I’d appreciate any feedback you have.
That's awesome!!! Questions for you, did you need to add the "manufacturer manual" and cables? May sound very noob question , this sounds fun to get into
Hector Hernandez It came with the cables so I was able to test it and include those. Some folks sell them “as is” stating they don’t know if it works and sold for parts and/or possible repair.
@@GravityGoods dont list for parts etc. Or if you do make sure you contact thr buyer to make sure they kmow its as is for parts. Ive had returns on several items listed for parts and then they stated they didnt read the description. Just be careful.
I like your advice. I just started watching you and I’m regret that I didn’t earlier. Matt from part time picker mention you several times I don’t know why I didn’t look for you. Hood material. I need a lot to learn. Excited!!!!
Daily Refinement with research of course. I know one was sold out and from what I saw 100% sell through rate on Poshmark when I searched by Color way and style so I took a chance and got an offer for $15 under retail price actually.
Found a 1960’s Budweiser Clydesdales bar light up sign for $300 (6 feet long) should easily be able to flip it for $1,250 conservatively. Thanks for the videos!!
