Lol if anybody called me offering to “verify” anything, that would be an insta-block, as I’d literally assume you were phishing. F off outta here with that.
@@fl6646 if this guy can make a short about it then I'm sure the business owner can manage their own business. This shit is sketchy you are paying a random caller on some claim that they will earn you more revenue? Yeah the right idea is to hang up and block
Its possible but a better strategy would be to become an affiliate of some SEO company and then email businesses suggesting the service with a free trial. Otherwise you rlly gotta have some credentials or take risks by telling them to pay once its done. Its also better to do it with email
Goods are sold for more than the materials are worth. Services are sold for more than how much you would spend to do it yourself. Both are things of value sold at a higher price. This is the same thing. You’re selling a service at more than how much they would have to pay to do it themselves. This is creating value just as much as any other good or service being sold
Listing higher in search engines creates a lot of value for businesses people are way more likely to click on the first result of the page rather than the last
"You want me to do this thing that i have knowledge on that will help bring you more customers and revenue?" What i would expect from a business if they dont accept the offer is to find another better and cheaper way but who knows
I own a small business. When I get calls like this it’s the most annoying thing possible. Please don’t do this. Most business owners spend more time and money to optimize there things.
I thought this actually wasn’t a terrible idea to get your foot in the door if you’re a local B2B sales guy or whatever. I think you’re the only person in these comments that even understood the video though lmao
Wow I m a business owner and. I got it verified from fiverr u saved my 450 bucks , otherwise I would have been scammed by some. Opportunistic crook . Thank u for the video
Some people here thought the guy was genuinely showing how to make easy money, but actually he's trying to smartly reach business owners to show them how they could get this done for cheap, and avoid spending more or being scammed. The hidden message, along with little details 👌
Nothing about what he's doing is a scam. Businesses are built on providing a service(in this case seo) and allot of times they outsource the work. It's no different
I work at a small business and yea know we ain’t paying you for dat ish. You go ahead and leave us alone, we got a guy we pay him every year now, please stop harassing small businesses!!!
I came here to learn how to trade after listening to a guy on radio talk about the importance of investing and how he made $460,000 in 4 months from $160k. Somehow this video has helped shed more light on some things, but I'm confused, I'm a newbie and I'm open to ideas
Congratulations that is a real success story in my opinion. Success because you didnt allow the amount to determine whether or not you would jump in. Good job. See you at the 100k meet and greet.
I actually do this but it doesn't pay anywhere near what he says. But I aim for profiles that don't have a website, so I can also sell them a website and make some money. Basically the verification process is free, even if they don't take a website.
As a business owner, call me and ask me to optimize my business listing and I will give you hell. The amount of people doing this is rediculous. I OWN MY LISTING.
Nah this is actually really solid freelance consulting and business management... as long as you properly file your paperwork and are very careful about exactly how you say things. Otherwise... yikes.
This isn’t a scam, it’s being a middleman and providing value to a business. Everything you’re wearing, from your shoes, to your underwear, to you shirt & glasses were most likely bought through middlemen. You could have gone straight to the factory to get the items for 95% off, but you went to the place that offers the service in front of you.
That postcard is going to straight to the business, mailing address. You're teaching people how to waste time. Edit: For those of you thinking about doing mail fraud. That is a Federal crime called "Obstruction of Correspondence" Sentencing, if convicted, can be up to 5 years with a fine of up to $250,000
@@YuckFou0x0FFFF bro where do you live? Do you have any work to offer? I live in pakistan i can work for you on anything, like you can pay me 200$/month. I can do basic coding in c , python ,html and css, i can also use other softwares.
As a business owner that gets these horrible calls. This guy is not only crazy but this is straight up harassment. I feel so bad for people that aren't technology sound and get harassed by people like him. If you want to make 300 bucks a day hit up those businesses and say you'll verify them on Google for free, and see if they want help with social media ads or Google ads...
To you its a side hustle, to them its their lives work. If you are not really working to make their business better don’t call them, a scam is not necessarily what you do its how you do it
Tried this, figured why not. Called a roofer. Told me he didn’t even know he had a website. I told him I could optimize his searches for $300, he said he would let me know. This was about 3 weeks ago, I’m still hopeful
Yeah, optimized by someone who knows the algorithm and what they’re talking about. Not any random person taking 3 minutes to do this or they’d do it themselves
Dude is cashing in on ignorance. There's no guidebook alerting small business owners of this Google feature. By calling the business and specifically NOT fraudlently claiming it as his own, he simultaneously demonstrates& proves his value as a consultant. From there the offer to do some marketing work for a fee is both reasonable and beneficial because he AGAIN delivers value to the customer with the fiverr job. It's literally worth the 200-500 they'll pay because the change from 0 SEO to mediocre SEO is huge. HUGE! Fiverr has some good talent but they're not engaging with business clients and building ongoing trust relationships like OP. Op is simultaneously a business consultant and a drop-in agent offering a gig to a freelancer.
This is obviously the kind of subcontracting that you ought to *disclose*, but you can also say that very smoothly like "I hire the best seo guys to work for me and I'll find the right one to take care of it for you" entirely honest and even a thing you could back up if you did this regularly and did know the best contractors on fiverr
So that's why I kept getting all of those calls from that " Verify your Google listing" robo call everyday!!! Asked them to stop calling me when I connected to a person and she said NO. I then reported them to the FTC. Calls have mysteriously stopped.
I run a website for the company I work for. Im the commissioner for advertisement, web work and Google business. It doesn’t pay near enough to £500 a day! You would have to have about 150 different businesses to pay you a day before you make anyway near that! Sorry to be the pain but it isn’t a useful way to make money
Please don’t do this unless you know how to do it or you can verify the work, or you can get a business suspended and totally screwed on Google. What you should really do is charge $700 to fix listings that people doing this screw up
There’s entire college majors that specialize on optimizing businesses for google and you think you’re just going to make a 60 second video telling people how to do it?
Alternate idea...find the unverified businesses like he did and then tell them everything he told us. Now the business REALLY loves you cuz you saved em $250-450 a month & they may even offer you free merchant/service or discounts.
Like a lot of people said, too much work, i have already seen this method before. They make it sound easy when in reality it's not, these methods sound legit but the reality is that they won't work, nobody wants to pay a random person on the internet to do stuff like these for them, they might as well pay that amount to a professional. Another thing is that there's hundreds of videos with similar methods and the truth is that they all sound legit but not even the person making the video tries them, all they do it is for easy money with views
Also this reminds me of the loop hole that is how to make money online, they sell you a guide on how to make money which in reality it's all about teaching you how to sell that product you bought to others. In general the only way to make money like this is deceiving people, selling them things like products to lose weight and stuff like that.
Don’t do this, it’s not easy, this is coming from someone who helps run a local business, you will spend most of your time getting hung up on. Best way to make money Fill out an application and apply to work somewhere Start a business Provide a service
No business is going to pay over £300 to list there business. They will get the email be like "fuck off I'm not paying you that" do it themselves and I've just wasted time
As someone that runs a company email I delete soo many of these email requests all the time. You’ll probably have to email hundreds of businesses to get one reply back. Many of us just view these as spam
100% guarantee this works one time in a hundred, if that. Most the places round mine, if you phone up and say "fancy giving me hundreds to optimise your business on google" they'll tell you to fuck off pretty quickly. If they gave a shit, they'd have done it already.
Had a business. An advertising company offered to do this for $800. Agreed for a month and saw the garbage website they made for me. Called back to cancel, they offered to do it for $50. This was in 2011. A con is now called a “side hustle”.
