Not a bad idea in areas where there aren’t restrictions on painting the curb. It happens more than you’d think, especially with finicky home owner associations.
Many cities DO require a permit to go door to door selling goods or services. Also you should register it as a small business, the IRS wants their cut and you could get in big trouble if they find out.
Bill Clinton it’s private property so as long as you have the home owners permission, your good! But, if there is an hoa or neighborhood restrictions in place that says you can’t, then defiantly don’t...but it’s not that hard to remove and you wouldn’t be fined or anything.
Yes I think it should be mandatory that curb numbers should always be fresh, sharp and visible from the street. Even though we have GPS nowadays- sometimes house numbers skip or it's so dark outside that it's hard to see the house number. You never know when there could be an emergency and every second matters. Just my thoughts.
Safety tip! Make sure to wear eye protection and something to cover your nose and mouth so you don't get harmful chemicals inside your eyes or body. Wear some type of gloves to keep it off your hands because it can be hard to get off. PS: This is just to keep you safer but you don't have to do it if you don't want to.

Keith Smith nope! If there is a HOA that restricts curb-side address, then it would be illegal because the land is in the hands of the HOA leaders (in the case of the courts) even though yea it’s your property. So... most places you can do so but higher end areas don’t want it.
It depends. If you don't have an HOA that prohibits this then most of the time your all good. But it all comes down to the type of contract as well as the agreements within it. Some places city own it, sometimes you own it. For example, My buddy out in Wyoming has a ranch and nobody is going to bother him for it. If you live DT somewhere then yea your going to get shit for it.If your in a suburb like this, if there isn't an HOA, then the city most likely dont care at all. I guess it helped the mailman (which are payed by the homeowners and taxpayers anyway.)

You should try doing a cleaner job with it hahah people pay for this all the time, people just think that they won't. I have a friend who hasn't needed any other job, and has been spray painting curbs for 10+ years! And he doesn't struggle with money at all. Currently he's sittin on 20 grand. That's not the first time he has. You could make 5k a month easily doing this. But make it good. Make it worth the people's money. Don't do a shit job like this guy just did.

It would be a good idea to check local laws and ordinances. I've heard of people being fined for doing this. BTW what was the white spray paint used for? You only used the black.
The reason why every is saying it illegal is the person that owns that home doesn't own the curb it sidewalk its property of the gov't hence if your sidewalk or curb breaks you don't personally pay for it. Also I live in Canada and they dont do this on the curbs. its on the house or not.

Yes it is a scam and is illegal. I mow and maintain lawns. Had a shady character walking and putting flyers on every one's doors. On entire street. Had same story this guy said on it. Some died cuz ambulance couldn't find house cuz numbers wasn't on curb. Funny cuz every house on that street had address on mail box and also numbers on the house. They was charging $20. And if u wanted the service pay thru PayPal. When I came back to mow lawns 14days later no one had numbers painted on curb.

Telling that story about how a person died because the address wasn't painted on the curb, I'm pretty sure fire trucks and paramedics come with GPS. Usually the cops show up first and are all familiar with the neighborhood...
My buddy and i traveled from northern cali to LA doing this in every town along the coast . One of the best times of my life campin on the beach along the way . We used brass interlocking stencils though , they are way better . We charged 5 bucks in 1992 and typically made 125 bucks by noon with about 20 bucks overhead . then we would pick up chicks on the local beach and sip mickeys hornets and smoke a lil weed it was great . LA is a crap hole but the rest of the coast was awesome especially around santa cruz and Monterey .
