Thanks! I just made my leap of faith for growing Moringa in Las Vegas, Nevada. Purchased their special Moringa Tree starter Kit that includes 10 extra trees free with Numa Nursery and am excited to try this out on a small scale before looking into larger scale on acreage. Soil here in Las Vegas is desert, and the weather is HOT in the summers. I do have drip irrigation materials so hope to mitigate that a bit. Might get a few of my students and their families involved in this sustainable and healthful adventure! Blessings and Peace, Star
hopefully youll be back in tampa soon! would love to meet you some day! you helped inspire my food forest that will keep me well stocked without the grocery store. i have moringa, sugar cane, banana(serveral cultivar) oranges guava(several) sugar apple soursop longevity spinach pomelo calamondin and many more!
@@staralioflundnv Thank you so much! We're getting the little baby moringa trees ready for shipping and look forward to you receiving them shortly. Moringa can help fight viruses and can prevent many illnesses. Prosperous Growing! +Kendrick Henry
I zoned out watched over an hour of this video and realized "Why am I watching a video about moringa?" I honestly have zero interest in this plant. I just love the passion and presentation.
This is by far.... the best comment on the internet.... I laughed out loud... I never do that. But seriously, I was zoning too !! He captures your attention. And keeps it lol. 💯 !!
I found out about moringa from a client who asked me to do the nutrition profile I was amazed as a chemist for thirty five years I have never seen one plant with so much protein I did about 3 reruns thinking I must have made a mistake. Then I started to research this amazing plant. This was an awesome video and God bless Kendrick for the work he does.
that's amazing... is there a publicly accessible database where this nutrition profile can be checked out? Superplants like this make me wanna be a chemist even though I don't have the aptitude for it.
From here the young trees look like malunggay. Oh moringa is malunggay, what we ate a few times a week in our soup. We had a trees. If my memory is correct it had puffy flowers and long beans for the seed. A friend gave me a 6 in tree starter a few weeks ago but will have to be an in door plant as it get -20 to -30 in the winter. My wife grew up on this on a mangrove remote island in the Philippines. She got her first pair of foot ware when she was 16 as she was traveling to sister on another island. My wife is an old fashion cook from scratch. Filipino food and chinese food and I was an American cook. For the last 35 years she is a cook here in the states cooking old fashion recipes. She works in a nursing home where she is much appreciated. Our hobby is watching you tube video's of different recipes and trying them out on her boss. If thumbs up then onto the elderly. So maringa and malunggay are the same, I never knew.
What is old fashoined from scratch? Im young and cook from scratch and dont eat processed foods..is that what you mean? "Food" in stores isnt food, its gross!!
Grew my moringa & got seed pods in three years. I live in 8B zone which means moringa needs to be brought indoors in the winter. Moringa is truly a miracle tree.
Finished watching your video, contacted Kendrick, downloaded his FREE Guide, and ordered 1000+ Moringa seeds. Been thinking of growing Moringa on my farm...this episode helped me decide to go ahead with it. Thanks for yet another great episode John!
i live in Wesley Chapel . new tampa. i got started with Kendric! i have 3 trees . 3 yrs old. this stuff saved my life .i use it every day. if i skip , my inflamation comes back and nerve issues( myolitis) inflammation of the nerve covering. moringa replaced 5 medications and has less side effects. i have 4 acres here so im doing the orchard and moringa plan soon.
John almost all of the neighbors here in the Philippines has a Moringga tree. I have several trees around my 150 sqm lot. And I also planted some trees from cuttings in my other piece of land. I love moringga leaves with my fish soup, with malabar spinach, lemon grass, tomato, ginger and onion. So yummy. And the young seed pods can also be added to a vegetable soup or even in a fish soup.
This video is awesome. We are microgreens farmers and put up a high tunnel in our back yard in town to grow lettuces for salads. My daughter has a health issue we can't seem to correct. I tried growing moringa in the past it didn't work. We are in zone 6b-7. I'm going to try again. Thanks for your passion of growing. Be Well Ginnie
I can say I started my seeds in a paper towel and ziploc bag with a lil water, within 7 to 10 days growing, now I'm planting 2 seedlings in a jug method to overwinter! Give it a try, most all of my seeds I start in ziploc, any size seeds
My parents had two moringa trees outside their house. They shared it with every one. Neighbors came and asked to get some all time. My mom and grandma puts it on a mung bean soup that I totally love!💕
@@Xfinitygrows Not that I know of. It is most commonly used in soups like the mung bean soup mentioned. Other soups would be the various tinola recipes (chicken and minnow). In my region utan bisaya uses it. You can grind it up ang mix it in stews. In the philippines, they sell a spaghetti/tomato sauce that has a bit of it. Those are marked with mmk. It is mungo, malungay and I forgot what the k was for (kalabasa???).
Kendrick Is a gem and his love for the earth, Moringa and good clean living is unprecedented. Great representation of Numa Nursery! Thank you for this!
What juicer model did you purchase? I'm desperately seeking a truly amazing and cost effective juicer that is going to last! Your help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks for a great and very thorough video. I've been trying to find a reputable, genuine, and honest source for Moringa seeds, plants, and products, and now I finally found it! Now I can start the first phase of my Wild South Florida Food Forest!
I'm growing mornings trees here in Panama City Florida. Have been giving some away and my mom really loves them at her house. Beautiful flowers and the drumsticks (seed pods) are huge! We cut it back and it branches out. You have to be careful about the wind....it can break it.
Stumbled onto one of these trees 2 weeks ago on a tour of a fruit plantation of 600+ species.. the guide mentioned how good they were... the potential is huge!
@@barryminor616 yes I will definitely! I'm looking for some locally at the moment I know they grow here.. trying to convince my boss to grow them on his property :)
Great information on every one of your shows. I literally would kill any plant I had in weeks until 4 mos ago now I save many plants including customers. By the way if you cut all Moringa leaves off as a seedling the tree will grow new leaves. I tried it on over 200 plants to find out and they just left coming back to life. Amazing plant.
THIS IS GOLD!!! I can't thank you enough for all of these nuggets of valuable information! 🙏 Many blessings of fruitfulness, health, and wealth your way!
we usually mixed its leaves with chicken soup in Southeast Asia -- Philippines, tastes good....super healthy packed with vitamins and minerals. but you can basically mixed it in different dish or drink, thanks for the upload
i have tons and tons of flowers on mine. i got two 5 gallon buckets of seeds last year. but less leaf. if i pinch the flowers , it will grow more leaves. great stuff. Kendric is awesome.
Nice to see you again. It’s been a long time since l tuned on to your channel. I want to say it’s been over 3 years ago the last time I tuned in to your channel.
I own some land in california let's talk because once my house is built I want to grow food on the property ..1.31 acres..my aunty and dad live next door too they might be interested too..teamwork rocks
That's great news, I would love to talk, if you need more help growing moringa, I'm sure we could supply you with some moringa seeds, or even ship small moringa trees already sprouted. This is the best time to become more sustainable. Really appreciate you for watching and give me a ring, my number is on the NumaNursery.com website. #moringalove +Kendrick Henry
I loved growing Moringa from seeds... they loved late SPRING here in Oregon..... I was able to eat the greens... but ALAS Oregon gets COLD in FALL AND WINTER and even though I put a few in the greenhouse they succumbed to the COLD!... I would still grow them as an Annual... why not?? Easy to grow!!
Excellent I think I'm going to grow this on my homestead in Thailand that I just started. Very interesting video Moringa is fantastic.Thank you Kendrick has an amazing mindset sharing his knowledge and how he built up his business using other peoples lands. Thank you for this great video well done. Going to read the Manual now.
Wow, I'd love to have a homestead in Thailand. I visited there for a class a few years ago and keep thinking about going back. Is it possible for foreigners to own land there?
That would be great! Please call me beforehand, that would really help us stay organized full filling orders and teaching classes. My number is on the NumaNursery.com website. Moringa Love! +Kendrick Henry
Thank you for sharing this information and knowledge . I live in Kentucky but often travel to Jamaica where Moringa trees grow wild and have already enjoyed eating the seeds regularly when I am there. I appreciate your alls positive desires to change the world for a better place and I support you both . Keep up the goood trouble. Thnaks again
Do you want a strong Moringa plant from cutting? Plant it early and plant it deep! Like post hole diggers deep. Make sure a foot or more is above ground but at least three times that (or more) is below. If you’re in Florida you shouldn’t have to worry about rot, we are to Sandy for moringa to rot, usually. From seed takes longer and it’s probably Necessary for commercial use. However if you’re growing for your own use a cutting will do just fine and be strong.
in the philippines we call it malunggay and its a common staple of our every day cuisine. we literally have trees all over our neighborhoods that my mom owuld have me to pick just for that days meal. love it, great plant
Hi, great video! I live in South Africa, and tried growing seeds but unsuccessfully, finally found a mature tree nursery where I bought a tree, which basically looked like a stick, way higher than me!! I got it into the ground, and as summer arrived, it started sprouting, so exciting! Again though, way higher than reachable. My question is, if I cut it shorter in winter when it's dormant, will it sprout leaves lower?
Thank you, I will also attribute my hair to my mama! She has a thick head of red heair to this day has lots of hair and I heard somewhere that hair is passed down from the mothers side? But the moringa does also do wonders to may hair, I put the moringa seed oil in with a few other oils to put in my hair after a shower. Really appreciate you for watching and thank you so much for all your generosity as well. Grow it Forward. haha #moringalove +Kendrick Henry
John giggled like Beavis and Butt-head when he said the video was going to be tight. When he said you could buy Moringa in dime bags I caught myself doing the same laugh.
Very interesting episode I would like to do this with raspberry blueberry all types of herbs vegetables what I prefer the most as well I do all organic with the times we are in now I'm spending more time growing and in the greenhouse that I ever did
What a great episode! I'm so happy to hear you are in the garden more. I think that would be marvelous and exactly what we should all do, at all times. Good thing we still have the ability to grow our own food and make our own preservatives, they really help to get us by. #moringalove +Kendrick
John, this is one of your best vlog. I grew up with moringa in the Philippines. It would sprout out on the side of our house. Our neighbors would pick the leaves and the "drumstick", sauté it with garlic, onion & tomatoes and that would be dinner. I have been planning to have a moringa farm in my golden years and I think this is the kick off!
Lets kick off the Golden Years of Moringa Again! I would love to visit the moringa tree in Philippines, everyone from there loves Malunggay and tells a story of how its used or how they remember it growing everywhere back home as a child. It is most certainly is a tree loved around the world! #moringalove +Kendrick Henry
In india, we add pre cooked lentils and some chillies to the above recipe and it makes a super yummy moringa curry. mix it with steaming hot rice and some fried potatoes. Ooooooh!! it's so out of d world. My absolute favorite food. Here we don't bother to plant d seeds, simply stick in d mud a freshly cut stem and wait for rain. It would grow super fast. In less than 4-5 months we have a whole tree and d story goes on... if it is windy,, it just breaks in no time..... but nothing to worry, it will grow again It's nutrient value is endless.. Our mother used to say that it's good for eyesight, teeth, hair, skin and so on. When the freshly harvested leaves are crushed with some crystal salt, the resulting juice can be applied on the throat,( no need to ingest it) to overcome throat pain. Mixing in some powdered lime stone helps a lot.. Luv from Chennai, South india Luv from. Chennai, South india
Absolutely thrilling information. i was asked to move to an upcoming Moringa farmer to move o Florida, week ago. And, here i am. i live in Vancouver, B.C, Canada and we are surely as you note not in a tropical climate in order to grow the finest as you are sharing i intend on moving at some ideal juncture and i am duly inspired. Thank you p.s. i am a 100% raw, vegan of 21 yrs, so i get it! Bless both of brilliant you! Rawkn, Katherine
Moringa is an incredible tree and plant to know, thanks to John more people can learn about moringa and all the possibilities anyone can do with it! #moringalove +Kendrick

@@GrowMoringa Sure! Im in New Zealand though, if you guys ship your products here id love to buy seeds! Probably cant at the moment due to this situation though. If you can though id love to find out!
I live up in Maryland on the east coast. We are zone 7, Moringa growing normally up here is not feasible outdoors unless you can just grow as an annual? If Moringa is not feasible to grow up here what else would u recommend plant wise to grow up here? Thank you for video love your enthusiasm, I am a fellow tree hugger so I definitely feel the love.
Along with Moringa, there's also another tree usually planted on my village. Gliricidia Sepium. A legume usually cultivated to prevent soil erosion, nitrogen fixation on the soil, and its leaves usually used for cattle feed and green manure. Oh, we also raise them along with Arachis Pintoi and coffee tree.
John, those plants will grow much larger much faster if you put them in the ground when they are about the size of a tomato seedling. Those should be 6 - 8 feet tall at 2 or 3 months in the ground.
I love Moringa I have two trees now I planted both from seed and I have 4 seedlings right now… I have dried it and ground it you can put it in smoothies make tea. This is the tree of life and when I see the crap on the news hopefully not real news about people eating bugs I would hands down eat this instead. I grow it in a dry hot area Phoenix AZ grows great…
Yes! We love South Tampa and know of several large moringa trees in your neighborhood! South Tampa loves Moringa. growing more moringa trees It is very much needed! More now so than ever. I just google searched this plant and the powder sells for $18 a lb . Not what was suggested by this video. I dont doubt everything else in the video but the profits are definitely over hyped
Wow! I bet there is a bunch of moringa in Australia, moringa is a permaculture staple in designs around the world. Just grow it to eat it, nothing will go to waste, the animals will have some food to eat as well. Thanks so much for watching! #moringalove Kendrick Henry

I tried to grow Moringa in our 2.5acres, here in California but we I can’t grow it because it’s cold and it’s like a wind tunnel 😩. I can only grow Rosemaries..In the Philippines, I will just throw stalks in our backyard and grows like wild, tall and thick. 🌱 Plant Moringa!
You have to harden the tree to your climate. We have similar issues with monsoon winds and cold snaps here in Vegas. Some of my neighbors also place shade cloth sheets to shield them from heavy winds.
He's right, you can grow them inside! I found a dwarf moringa variety that I am trying too. So far, both varieties are the same size, but the regular one seems healthier. They both are being watered via ollas. We'll see what happens. I plan to bring mine indoors before they go dormant and keep them going all year along with my pepper plants. I thought the roots were supposed to be toxic, so you may want to research that more. God bless!
@@common-sense99 you do want to have a minimum of three feet distance from the wall otherwise you can have roots push out your wall or tree leaning on wall which will eventually knock it down.
I like to think I'm a pretty switched on fella but I'm 50 now and Ive only just recovered from pnuemonia and assoc heart failure a couple years ago. Due to other things throughout my life interacting with this I find myself no longer receiving hunger triggers due to PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, Mood Swings and a whole Lota other shit. Moringa and your Model sounds like something I could have a crack at. Maybe, just Maybe, it may help me get my life and My Health back on track. I live in The Dry Tropics in North Queensland Australia where I believe Moringa will grow great. Actually I just ordered some seeds from down south and I figure I can spend the next year or 2 creating a market. Wish me Luck Guys!
Marungai or properly pronounce as ma-roon-gai And is easily propagated by stem or branch cuttings. We make chicken soup with marungai, leaves, onions tomato, and lemon grass...
I loved this video. I grew these about 3 years ago and forgot I had a huge bag of seeds. So today after being reminded how easy and healthy these are I started my overnight soak. I live in 9a Galveston/Houston area but we do have some freezes. Not sure if they would make it without covering. If anyone in my area knows please comment. Thanks!
I live in the Baton Rouge area. Not sure what zone I’m in but I would love to grow a few of these trees. So, if you happen to have any seeds left over, I would like to buy some if you are interested in selling a few?? Very good video.
This is great to hear i am very interested in this kind of farming, have been training farmers but we haven't started yet to establish ,we are in the coastal areas of kenya
John ty for exposing Kendrick and his entire operation Both of you are true stewards of our wonderful planet, I hope all of you receive all the blessings God has to offer and bestows them upon you. I currently live in NYC but will be moved to Texas by the end of the year. I had planned on planting as many milkweed plants as possible for the endangered Monarch Butterfly along with trying my hand at bee keeping and now I am pretty sure I will incorporate Moringa as well. I can not thank you enough. And yes I will have other plants and berries and fruit trees to fill out the wide spectrum of pure organic life giving foods our bodies need.No chemicals no DNA modified anything, No GMO's of any kind. OK God Bless both of you and again ty from my heart.
I love everything Moringa! And love the concept of #NumaNursery on growing and spreading moringa. I’m interested to try moringa deodorant😃. Also do you fertilize your moringa trees?
Thank you so much! We just made a fresh batch of the vegan moringa deodorant, it up on the site now and we can send some, to fertilize the trees, we use composted soil, azomite rock dust, mulch and for continued nutrition we use well water and biochar and worm castings.
I just sent your video to my daughter who is into holistic medicine. Unfortunately she is in Montana, but I'm sure she would be interested in the product for appothicary. Thanks
Nice looking Moringas. Very few varieties look that full and lush. I have about ten different trees about 90 miles north of Tampa and only one bushes out the others are tall and lanky. 90 miles north of Tampa? Yep, all you need to do is cut the tree to a reasonable height before a hard freeze (late December January) and cover with plastic. If you do this the tree will start leafing out in March.
Kendrick's voice is a lot softer and lower than John's. Is there a way to equalize it on the video? I know enthusiasm is why, and I love you for what you do. Totally awesome. I think it would make it a lot more pleasing to listen to if your voices could closer in volume. BTW, I lived in Africa for about 29 yrs. Most all the nutrition programs recommend 1 tsp. moringa powder mixed in each meal, children and adult. THANK YOU BOTH SO MUCH.
I loved this video and I love your message about how you feel about giving and not depending on food from grocery stores you inspire me and many others thanks. I hope you are happy because you deserve much. Tell your wife she's a very blessed woman women
Also if you live in North Florida your Moringa will die down all the way to the ground in winter, no worries it’ll come back fast come summer. Also, note- North Florida Moringa have a tendency not to give off seeds.
All this information is fantastic! It would be helpful to include health testimonials from actual people taking this awesome Moringa trees products! I love it and growing some Moringa trees in my backyard 🎉
We have had a dozen farmers go broke in south Florida trying to grow moringa. All are closed now and have switched to more traditional crops. The problem is; Americans are not familiar with this item and Asians know how to grow it themselves. I grow it myself on my patio after losing all my suppliers.
OMG Your amazing I have watched every video you have posted. Thank you if your ever coming to DFW hit me up I can hook you up with a place to stay, food, and transportation free of charge.
I would think adding dried maringa leaves to olive oil would make a good product too. It might make a better option than having to use a huge amount of seeds to extract such a little amount of oil.
