Very cool! There's something about actual steam miniatures that's really amazing regardless of how many times i've seen them.

The illusion works then. This model is not actually steam powered but electric with a steam effect.

Very interesting to watch. Many great little ideas and skills shown. One thing I learned a very long time ago was, when cutting with side cutters, to extend my index finger so that the flying ends were stopped by it. Now I need to look up "slate wagon" to see what they look like. I suppose they were used in the slate mines. Looks like you use the mini lathe quite a lot. Great show, thanks for sharing.

The Axminster CO lathe is better than the Myford for small parts due to it's higher spindle speed .

It’s such a cool contrast to go from the sophisticated laser cutter and 3D printer to the most simplistic basics of model building all in the same small project! Easily one of the most interesting things I’ve seen on YT on quite awhile! Thanks for bringing it to us!

A real labour of love putting all those tiny parts together to make the Slate Waggons David. And making five of them. Fascinating video and a beautiful end result. Cheers from Nobbysworkshop

Thank you for the comment. I can't advise on kits as I do not build them but make all my stuff from scratch.
