I just finished watching the entire 3.30-hour tutorial and it is the best I have ever watched and I have learned a ton of information which will make my website building much easier. You are an amazing teacher and I thank you for taking the time to create these for us to use. I especially like the way, when you talk, there are no ums and aws which is very distracting. Josh, I have to say that this is the BEST tutorial I've come across on You Tube. I thought I could easily jump from the Weebly site I created to WP, but I was sorely mistaken and realized I still needed a drop and drag approach. I came across this video after deciding on Elementor and I was really blown away by how well you have walked us through step by step in such a way that we non-techie people can understand. This is excellent. I particularly like the time stamp table of contents.That is absolutely brilliant! That really adds tremendous value to what you are teaching because I can easily navigate to a specific area in the video. How did you do that? Also, in your video where you talk about inputting your domain name on a domain you already own, isn't there a gap of time if you are pulling a domain from another host? How does that work if say I wanted to move all my domains from my current host to hostgator? Thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial. It's one of the best I've seen.
Hey Pat, thank you so much! All you have to do is type in the video description the time using hours:minutes:seconds so it looks like 2:31:05 (2 hours 31 minutes 5 seconds) and RU-vid automtically makes that a time stamp...So that is a great question. You're actually referring to "domain name transfers". You can transfer your domain names and that would definitely take some time but fortunately, it usually isn't necessary. In the video, when you type in your domain (while signing up for hosting), the method you will end up using is actually keeping your domain name registered with whatever company you have it currently registered with (godaddy for example). All your doing is pointing the Domain Name Servers (DNS) to your new hosting company and that is what hostgator will give you instructions for. This is generally as simple as logging in to your domain name account (godaddy account for example) and accessing the DNS settings and changing the 2 domain name servers to the 2 that Hostgator gives you and saving them. Then, it can take up 24-48 hours to propogate but last time I did it, it was almost instantaneous. It can depend on things like your physical location, and your internet service provider. This tutorial is far better than the $99+ Udemy courses. The course is set out in easy steps that anyone can understand - even a complete beginner. Josh has done a fantastic job with this video.

Probably the best WP tutorial I have ever come across. In the first few minutes, the clarity and delivery were of the highest quality and the inclusion of the Time Stamp is greatly appreciated. I have already built a number of WP websites but the quality of this tutorial is such that I intend to spend a lot of time in the next week watching this as I know I there is a lot I can learn here. An amazing tutorial. I have been struggling with WordPress for weeks and weeks until watching Josh's intuitive and well structured step by step tutorial. Unlike many other tutorial's I've watched, this video doesn't just spend a few minutes speeding through some aspects of WordPress but goes into the step by step detail of designing a professional website. I learned about your RU-vid tutorials from another first time web designer in a local coffee shop. Wow, your WP videos are incredibly helpful and amazing. I had watched other peoples' tutorials and they were no where near as in depth. I like how you don't move very quickly and explain everything in detail for first timers from the domain, hosting, passwords, and then the web design. Your calm and slow voice makes it easy to follow along and take notes, unlike many other videos out there. Thank you so much for the help.

I am coming back to re-do my Wp side and I forgot nearly all of it - Except where to look for tutorial. Wow, this was an awesome video. I looked at a lot of videos to help me learn WordPress. Nothing was what I wanted until I found this one. I wanted one that would allow me to create a WordPress site from scratch. This one did it! Also, I love your style of discussion. It was easy to follow. Your voice and the way you describe things was easy to follow. Also, I like the way that you went over the same thing but with different examples. I just sat back and watched the whole thing. I am sure that I will go back and re-watch parts. At first I thought that I would watch just part of the video but as I got more and more into it, I realized that everything you taught was something that I might use. I've watched a lot of tutorials recently about wp and building a site. This is the absolute best tutorial I've seen. Nothing left out. Plenty of explanation about jargon terms. Truly step-by-step AND recs on additional services are SOLID. Saying "THANKS" just doesn't seem enough. Thank you!

Hello Josh! I watched this video to its entirety and I wanted to say I'm so glad I found your channel. I've been searching and looking for the right tutorial to building my own website and not one of the ones I checked compared to this tutorial. I'm still not 100% sure how I want my site to look but at least now I'm more confident that I can do this and have the knowledge that I can always rewatch this video to go back to when I'm stuck with a certain process. I probably won't create such a detailed site like the one you did in this tutorial since I'm only doing a travel blog and probably won't have as much content as you did but I'm excited nonetheless to get started, still feeling overwhelmed but I just have to move forward and get it started. Josh...I seldom comment on things like this, but I can't help it. I think this is the best tutorial ever...not just on tech/website/internet things...I mean the best tutorial on anything ever. I'm a totally non-technical person although I have struggled along with a couple of previous, very rudimentary WordPress sites. Nothing like this though. You were so thorough with just enough repetition to help "get" things but not so much as to make it too redundant or boring. It's taken me 3 days (not full time, of course) to get through it all with lots of going back and forth. I'm guessing these 3 days may save me 3 months or more of aggravation and frustration...maybe 3 years for all I know. I"m very happy with my new state of knowledge and the way my website is starting to shape up. It looks awesome. I'm sure I'll be going back to watch some parts over and over as I continue to build it out, but what a great start. I just want to commend you and thank you for such an amazing piece of work. You're the bomb. ...Best...Dexter PS - I'm going to go have a look at your tutorial on the Pro Version of Elementor next. I haven't bought it yet, but I suspect after getting a feel for it from your tutorial I'll end up with eventually.

Just finished watching the whole video. Took me about 8 hours as I was building a replica of the site you made while also trying several options you mentioned. It looks awesome. Thank you very much, you are a born instructor and I will be looking up all your other videos. I will definitely upgrade Elementor to Unlimited and make sure you get referral credit for this. I was about to take a course for WP that would have cost me over $500 with less results than this amazing and comprehensive tutorial.

You should consider teaching others how to make instructional videos. This is by far the most thorough training video I have ever watched about anything. Your way of pointing out all possible ways of accomplishing a task is so very detailed. I think other instructional RU-vidrs should watch this video just to learn how to cover all details of instruction in an organized clear and concise manner. Outstanding tutorial covering all the details in a clear and concise manner. Elementor appears to be the perfect page builder for my next art site that will include my sculpture, videos and my writing. I recently published a site for another group of my artworks. I wish I had known about Elementor. I am a retired graphic designer and most Wordpress templates are very restrictive.
