They are both gorgeous cards! I like your red mat and I don't pay to have my nails done either, they just stay as they are with the occasional lick of polish. xxx💖💖💖
Hi Sophia, I like the red silicone mat - especially when working with light colors. The work stands out more. I'm going to pull my silicone mat out from my kitchen & use it, unfortunately mine is a white color but it will work great for darker colors!.
Thanks Liz! When I was out of town I bought a huge silicone mat - the red one is small. It’s light grey so hopefully it works with all the colours lol Have a wonderful day!😊
Great looking cards....I just learned to do this style of card during the Christmas Season and made a few Christmases cards with poinsettia flowers in the middle......TFS
Your video is the easiest by far to follow for this technique - thank you so much! The silicone mat is perfect as a background, less busy than the "wood grain" behind it. I use a silicone mat as a base when I'm heat embossing.
Thanks Kellie! If you make the card I’d really appreciate it if you could please share it on my Facebook group - cards with Sophia. I’d love to see it! 😊
Beautiful cards! When I saw your original card (pink mat) versus the one you put together in the video (green mat) I love the variation with changing where the mat was placed. I think it depends on the color palette. Either way, I loved both cards. Thank you for sharing your lovely creations with us 😊
Love making these cards! So easy & fast to do. I find it so interesting the several different ways this card is assembled, yet you get the same outcome. Beautiful paper & thank you!
Very pretty cards!! I love making these fractured cards. So quick and easy and perfect for all occasions. Love the frame idea... might have to try that!!!😊
@@CardswithSophia yes! In Ontario. Eh lololol...no actually because you said your daughter lives in the states but also a Canadian recognizes a fellow Canadian. Happy New Year! Keep the great videos coming 🩷
Hello Sophia! Happy New Year!🎉 These are very pretty cards.💜 What is the set ya use to cut out the frame? There are so so many, just wondering the best to purchase. 💜
Hi Sherry! Thank you very much! I cut the frame with Hero Arts Infinity dies. I bought them from scrapbook dot com. (watch for a sale!) www.scrapbook.com/store/hro-di198.html
Very nice cards, Sophia! I made this card in a card class, I needed a refresher. You need not apologize for your nails. I find it distracting when demonstrators don long and/or flashy nails. Thank you for your video!
I really like your red silicone mat. I would imagine that using that color would help you to see your white cardstock while you are working on your card. I also like the blue background square underneath the 2x2 sentiment on your first card. And I think I like the green background all around the edge to be underneath rather than on top of your designed paper. Being underneath helps the beautiful design paper to be the star of the show. Thank you for your teaching video. (And I don’t do my nails either. It is too expensive to keep going back every two weeks.) 😊
Hi! Thank you for watching! I use Bearly Art Precision glue! It’s the best (in my humble opinion lol) I purchase it from Amazon! Have a wonderful day!😊
Thank you - I love this card layout! The dark solid color silicone pad makes the lighter colors and patterns easier for me to see. I prefer the frame as a mat beneath the panel.
