You prolly dont care but does someone know of a method to get back into an instagram account? I stupidly lost my account password. I would love any help you can give me
@Emmett Wilson I really appreciate your reply. I found the site on google and im trying it out atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
You won't read this but whatever. You actually helped me make my own Jason Part 7 mask for last year's Halloween instead of buying one of Amazon. Thank you and i have been making a Part 9 mask for this year's Halloween from your video. Thanks man.
I LOVE These videos! It's good to see someone doing videos on each specific mask instead of just doing a generic one or a part 3, I've got a Jason mask from Each movie, the NES and Mortal Kombat ones, plus a part 4 poster art mask, all of them I painted except for my part 8 and VS, But I do plan on doing a new part 7 because the blank I did it on was horrible, Keep up the great work!
Thank you! These are a lot of fun to do. I'm almost out of movie versions to make, so I'm going to come up with some custom ideas for the remaining few blanks I have.
Maybe try some of the poster versions, like the part 4 and 8 posters, and the mask you see on some of the dvd covers that looks like roy's mask but with blood red triangles instead of the blue. I've done the part 4 poster and plan on doing parts 8 and dvd cover masks.
yup, and the vent holes are smaller in the part 7 also. Part 7 and part 9 had the 3/4" trim all the way around which made the mask smaller and smaller vent holes.
This has been said a million times by a billion fans, but idc this is the best looking Jason mask period. And your recreation is no exception, hell I might consider making a mask of my own. Although as cool as it is, it has 2 things inaccurate or missing in terms of the film series continuity. 1. By the end of part 4, the cheek triangles are gone and forehead triangle is almost gone. In part 6 however, the forehead triangle is a back to being a full triangle. 2. In part 6, Jason gets shot in the head and a bullet hole is on the top left side of the mask. Somehow it’s missing in part 7. Since you’re a natural at customizing these masks and taking the continuity errors I listed into account, I challenge you to make an “ultimate” part 7 mask.
Imagine that in behind the scenes he records himself making multiple masks one recording after another until he finally gets it perfect, I'm only saying this because an ordinary man can't just make a 100% Exact Perfect Replica on their first try
I am currently working on a Part 7 mask and forgot to sand the shine off the base mask which resulted in the paint peeling off with the masking tape when I attempted to mask off the chevron. I sanded the hell out of it and got as much of the old paint off as I could then re-primed it. Hopefully it'll hold next time.
Part 7 Jason was my favorite Jason Voorhees they made he was more of a savage but not like Jason X. Also this mask was great I'm wondering if I can actually buy this mask
Oh and you should try the "weathering wash" technique. That's where you coat the whole mask in a muddy/dirty paint color using a sponge with acrylic paint, then after it completely dries you run it under warm water and rub off the paint until you get the desired weathering effect.
I tried that on the first mask I made, but I guess I did it wrong because all of the paint just came off completely when I barely rubbed it. So I gave up on that method pretty quick. I do love the result though, I wish it had worked for me.
Big Hush What makes the weathering wash work for me is that when I spray-paint the base coats and clear coats, I spray a little bit at a time, speckling it, so that the paint dries as thousands of tiny drops instead of a uniform "sheet" of paint. This way, when I do the weathering wash, the acrylic paint gets stuck in all the little pits from the previous step because it didn't dry in a uniform way. It makes it look pretty good on my end.
Great job, but here's a few tips if you ever want to make another. Remove about 3/8 to 1/4 inch around the sides of the blank leading into the chin and forehead to thin it out a bit, also take heat gun or blow torch to add in some warping around the surviving cheek of the mask so its more screen accurate and you are golden, you already got painting it down now i need to learn how to paint the damn thing lol.
That's looking awesome! Thanks for advising about the heat gun in a constructive way. A couple people have brought up that method with completely unnecessary anger and insult, as if I was an idiot for not doing it. I don't have a heat gun, but if I did I'd love to try that effect. Thank you for watching.
thanks man. I finished the mask already but in the future ill use it. Jason X and savini are the only ones i reccomend 60 grit. Svini jason it just fits in
somebody plz help. when i sand my mask fully, and rough, i can kind of see through it, even after i put the primer and white(note: my spraypaint was those combined). its fully dry and i can kind of see through some areas. do i have to sand the back of it too?
I love how you just casually cut the plain white Jason mask up to make it into part 7 without pencilling in where you have to do the cutting. I've got 5 made in China Jason masks a decorative Jason X resin mask and a foam rubies crappy part 7 mask but the under mask is cool. I've made a parts 4, have you noticed the axe mark is bigger in part 4? and 5 although my part 5 is spotless and needs ageing applied to it. I love horror films and Jason Voorhees has always been my favorite Slasher, I really want to cut up one of my made in china Jason masks for a part 7, but I think I might mess up on it I'm not very confident. part 7 is great all Jasons damage up to date exempt they got the boat damage on the wrong side, the end of part 6 it's supposed to be on the right side something I knew until a couple of months ago.
Lol, I was staring at a picture of the mask while I cut it up, so I was just HOPING I could eyeball it using the holes as reference points. If I didn't have a whole box of these blank masks to play with then I would've penciled that part for sure. I did notice the changes in the axe mark. Personally I'm a fan of just an old/worn looking mask without significant damage, but I've had fun making these other versions. I just did a Jason vs Freddy mask this weekend. Though I wasn't a fan of that installment, making the mask was a lot of fun. I love Friday The 13th. Jason is one bad dude. Thank you for watching my video!
