I'm pretty sure for Grassy Plains I just straight up designed two separate levels and couldn't decide which one to use so I just stitched them both together and submitted them as one, and they were like, my first and second megamix levels ever so neither was very good. It was incredibly rushed, being the second stage submitted to the contest, and it really shows. The water near the end of the stage is covered in invisible wind tiles blowing the player to the left (which also appears at the bottom of one of the earlier screens with even less telegraph, but at least you can completely skip it by just riding the platform above it). The boss itself was supposed to become unhittable when airborne, but I didn't know that canDamage was a thing at the time so it just shrinks the hitbox down to 4 pixels, which caused a lot of clipping issues during testing. There's also just, a ton of stuff that went unused for the stage, such as a Joe version of Honey Woman (which another stage does way better, so it's probably best it didn't get in, it'd probably cause some confusion) and rail platform versions of conveyor belts and the water jets from Powered Up (which were both incredibly broken, I'm pretty sure the conveyor just straight up crashed the game if you stood on it wrong). Honestly not surprised in the slightest it ended up this low. That being said I am still kinda partial to the bouncy and crumbling crash lifts, and I might potentially try tweaking those gimmicks and designing an actual proper level around them sometime in the future if I feel like it.

I really do wish you stuck with the first one as the gimmicks showed a lot of promise. The trampoline rails are something that could really be expanded upon. While I did have a small bit of fun with that first half, the entry was overall a major disappointment when what felt like its primary gimmicks were just ditched. In the future, ask other people which should be expanded upon rather than hastily submitting an entry that is two completely different concepts in one. You had plenty of time to work on either once any playtester you could have asked decided on what could have been expanded upon.
