I am new to learning leathercraft so I am just now watching this video. Your videos are great because you give very clear instruction. They really have helped me so much! You mention there is a shoe product at 8:43 in the video that prevents the leather from aging with patina and if you have remembered what it was I would really like if you would reply back? I also would not normally be interested in something to stop the patina process, buy my daughter is wanting a bag that will stay this very light color so I thought I would try it. I think some of the younger generation like that look because it is kind of that scandinavian vibe that is so popular in everything now. Thanks so much!!
Turns out that's really easy with inkscape and openSCAD. Just import pdf in inkscape, save normally, then $fa = 1; $fs = 0.4; depth = 2; linear_extrude(height=depth) import(file = "flap_wallet.svg", center = true); in OpenSCAD, then render and save as stl. Then print as normal.
Hi there. Good video. Great work !!! What kind of leather is used for the making of leather flap wallet ? And what are the post processes/treatment done on the wallet after making? Please reply. Thank you
you'll see at the beginning of the video on the piece of paper, near the top he has "recommended leather weight: 3oz" which is 1.2mm thick, and he's using a natural veg tan. hope that helps!
Hey there, have been watching your videos for some time now and just subscribed. I would love to make this but I can’t seem to find the pattern for this wallet on weaver’s website. I’ve been looking for simpler projects to practice with. If you could help me find the pattern for this wallet that would be great!
Why do you use both mink oil and the Aussie? Do the offer the leather different types of protection. I have a number of fiebings leather conditioners but I have never used more than one at a time. Thank you :)
Hello. I am a mechanical engineer. And I do leather work as a hobby. Can you suggest a site where I can find such projects, please? I cannot find such projects. I would really apreciate if you help.
Can I ask what size needles and thread you use? I always feel like mine are too big but I also have trouble finding anything smaller. Maybe I'm just crazy and what I am using is standard
Can't find the pattern on weaver anywhere. They have a couple which are similar(ish) but not the same. Anyone know if these are still up and I'm missing something?
I FOUND THE PATTERN The pattern is no longer hosted by weaver but instructions can be found on the r/leathercraft subreddit with a quick google search for "Free Corter Leather Patterns?"
Nice! I can’t seem to be able to download any pattern though... Not on the Weaver Leather Link, not on your page... anyone else encountered this issue?
How do you keep your cement runny? My has just been globby and its brand new. Its frustrated me so much I've actually stopped using cement. We are using the same brand.

DON'T USE MINK OIL I'm not super obsessed with saving animals but the harvesting of mink oil is very inhumane and shouldn't be supported. Pleass use other oils or similar products but NOT mink oil.
