Sometimes I wish I had access to all webcams on this planet - just to see how people watching this video start flicking their own faces while watching...
There's actually a way to do it without the hand usage. Usually for some beatboxers, we often do clicks that involve smacking the tip of your tongue to the roof of your mouth , then rapidly forming a backwards curve to get that sound If you combine that method with the one being mentioned, you'll have a crispier sound. Takes practice, obviously
Make the exaggerated mouth movement of saying "wit". You don't actually have to blow any air out. Just say the word "wit" with your mouth without audibly saying the word. Flick your cheek the same time you mouth the word "wit"
I practically begged the twins in my physical science class in hs to teach me how to do it, and I can say that it's one of my best skills lol, working in a cave makes it even better for messing with my coworkers
Yeah it’s hilarious to see peoples reactions when they don’t know it’s you, I used to do this in my old school library when it was completely silent, everyone was confused and looking around the room at each other, and I was giggling my ass off in the corner.
Did this all of the time in elementary school, if you get good at it eventually you dont have to flick your cheek. It also hurts less when your learning if you flick under your chin.
You don't actually need to flick, you can just gently but briskly tap your cheek with the tip of your finger while saying "wah", it works just as well ^^ Edit: wuaw, 100 likes ' V'
You don't need to actually flick your cheek. Just a gentle tap with your finger works. Also, if you close your mouth and put your finger just behind your canine teeth, that's where you should be aiming your taps
You don't have to exhale, you put your lips like you're going to blow out candles, when you open your mouth as you flick your cheek, you create a vacuum that pulls air in, works amazing, and open your mouth while using your cheeks to pull air in, like when smoking, before you inhale the smoke down to your lungs, you fill your mouth using your cheeks. You want to flick your cheek as you begin that motion, simultaneously opening your mouth quickly.
@ImaSwordKindaGuy smile as big as you can (without looking ridiculous). Now keep the same face without showing your teeth.... this is where you need to end. You start with your lips as though you're going to blow a candle.. as soon as you flick your cheek you need to pull your face back into that toothless cheeky smile. If you flick too late it won't be deep and it will sound shallow. If you hit too early it won't have the immersive drip sound effect. It will just sound like you're flicking your cheek.
Yeah, and you don't even have to "inhale." The natural vacuum that's made when opening your mouth that way is enough. Just time the flick right. (sometime in the very beginning of opening your mouth) and then do the shapes your mouth does -if you say "O-i"- EDIT: It's more like "o-A". Your mouth should go from looking like your going to whistle. (But without the toung pressed against your teeth), to just full open (without flashing your teeth like a rabid dog) 😜 But NO blowing, or sucking in air, really! Tldr: Flick your cheeks while making a small circle with your mouth, and open it to a bigger circle *IMMEDIATELY* after/while you flick. You can do it! 😊
Holy shit, you sir are giving clever quality content!!! I'm so used to not believe yt shorts coz majority of content on youtube lie all the time. When i actually tried doing this, and was a bit successful, i burst out laughing!!!
This also works in reverse. If you practice saying ‘why’, inhaling instead of exhaling, and flick your cheek at the y sound, it makes the same noise. It’s also waaaay easier to master
I've been wanting to know how to do this for over 10 years. I knew a classmate who knew how to do it consistently and I just never figured how to do it. I'm really happy to see that a RU-vid Short was the reason I was able to learn how to do this😂
Thanks a lot! I have tried several tutorials and a friend of mine tried to explain it to me in my mother tongue. But this tutorial is absolutely beginner-friendly and short, I love it! It's definitely underrated!
@@josephhisfriendfromschool7591 I learned it from codfish vs d-low's finals battle. now I have been beatboxing for 2 years as of today and I have mastered quite a few sounds.
i remember learning this in the 4th grade and it has never disappointed ever since 💧(also another favorite of mine is to make a phone vibration noise it gets people all the time 😂)
