I am the kid in the video. I was 10 years old when Dale done it for me. I had cancer but I am in remission and I'm 8 years strong. I'm 19 now and not a day goes by I don't think about what all the good people that made this happen.
I got to meet Davey Allison when I was seven years old in February of 1992. That was a make a wish for me. That kid got the ride of a lifetime. I would have been smiling also. Cool video. Dale Jr is a great guy for taking the time out to do that. It's the little things that make people remember. Because in the end it's just memories that we have in the long run. Charlotte is a awesome track other than Daytona which is the track I'm 25 miles away from. I like Lowe's ALot. You did good Dylan. That's the same driver I would've picked in this day and age also.
That kids smile almost made me cry I wanted to but i couldn't I bet that kid is smiling till this day and I hope he is a Nascar racer when he is the age to do Nascar racing
That look of glazed delight/terror reminds me of riding in a car going 180 mph. I couldn't believe it. Dyllon just had a ride to remember forever, bless him & bless all involved.
to all NASCAR drivers , the make a wish ride yall do for the fans & kids is so precious GOD BLESS each one of such a wonderful thing to do ,, thank yall from all of us NASCAR FANS ..🏁😎
Fully grown adults scream like babies in these ride alongs, and this kid got in with a big smile and never made a peep. Kids got what it takes to be a driver.
I doubt many, if any drivers would do that sort of thing today. The personal aspect of NASCAR is gone and it seems to be all business, and part of the latest popular fad.
I think that kid will remember that for a long time! I’d definitely remember it for a long time if I got to ride in a NASCAR with Dale Earnhardt Jr. driving the car at about 150mph+ (guesstimating the speed there). I hope he had a amazing time (which I’m sure he did)!
