Also one more tip from an Argus main , if you're fighting Argus in early game always make sure he uses his 2nd skill first before attacking and DO NOT RETREAT in early game he's pretty weak and can easily be killed if you just stay there but most of the time the heroes i fight against in early is a bit too careless as in he misses his skill and gets hit by my 2nd skill by the time that happens your best chance of winning is to keep fighting but most of them run away , a big mistake especially considering Argus's passive after using his 2md Skill

In Argus' case in XP lane for Balmond, Esme, Balmond and Uranus If he uses inspire BE VERY CAREFUL because you'll be surprised on how much Argus can shred you at level 1 with the Second Skill and Inspire Combo and it will cause him to get the First blood and dominate the Late and soon dominate the Game

As an Argus main, “counter” 1 and 3 I have measurements against so they wouldn’t work and number 4 can be countered by good mini map management so the best option is really number 2

It depends on your skills in my opinion. I choose to take his HP bit by bit with paquito on exp lane. However, you need to clear that wave too, which gives you level 2. I don't bother thamuz alot but rather just poke him bit by bit. Then, when I get level 4, I could easily combo him. So it depends on heroes you use AND strategies you make ;)

Dyrroth can beat Thamuz on level 1 because, if the second skill of Dyrroth hit the enemy on both phase (the dash and the jump) then it will do a 75% penetration, if i remember correctly, if the Dyrroth is using vengeance or petrify then it's pretty much a GG, unless some of the enemy is also invading.

Baxia is also good in countering Thamuz his passive has 30% antiheal and with items like Dominance ice and all will give him a total of 80% antiheal he will any high healing crying at this point Also Hylos, his second skill will slow down Thamuz basic attack alot if combine with Dominance ice this will make him a hard time healing quickly

I just wanna clarify Argus is definitely not the best and most flexible fighter,but he's definitely strong on the right hands,some of the counters are quite easy to surpass by pro Argus players. The thing is,Argus isn't to be treated like a fighter. Fighters are usually tanky and are very flexible,offlane and teamfights,Argus on the other hand is meant to dish out all his DMG during 5-6 seconds of dive towards the backline. Argus' 2nd skill is very good,his dash is quite long that if it does connect onto an enemy it's a guarantee 2nd skill connection. If you miss the 1st simply dash away using the additional dash. Once you are able to connect the 2nd which is most likely gonna be the case, enemies won't easily escape. However Argus definitely does struggle against an active full on teamfight tho. He requires some space between the tanky frontlines from the squishy backlines. If that space can be acquired you're solid,if not may God have mercy on your soul

As a benedetta main I'll point out a detailed guide on how to defeat Argus. Key point to remember in mind Argus is a ad carry who builds all damage and no defence and benedetta is a burst-blink specialist assassin with 3 burst damage and two defensive abilities. Step one use passive dash into Argus. Argus players will then use their either first or second ability. In level one see what they do to understand their pattern. If they don't use ability quickly get your S1 on him for about 1-3rd of his hp. How if he uses his ability use your S2. Block either second or first ability of Argus with S2 that way your passive will be full charge again and then dash away this is when Argus will use his second dash to chase u because he will most likely lose the overall trade. And that is when u use one auto or passive or s1 and ult right thru him and away. U will have an Argus standing in the middle of a benedetta ulti with no blink skills to get away and only his ult. Circle around him for four seconds and then go in and finish off your one hp Argus bro. That's how u defeat Argus in a duel. Another underrated way is Hanzo. Just pick Hanzo. Use his ult to bait Argus ult and then bye bye.

As a Lancelot main, Whenever k go against a Argus; I just run when he has his ult activated, and when he dashed toward me with his first skill, I dash behind him before he uses his second skill

From an argus main here, when he saya argus is weak in the eatly game and Just needs to be pushed (something like that) watch out. Argus with inspire (and 2nd skill) at the very early can kill you in a matter of seconds. Event thamuz with vengeance need to recall, so... Yea ik It sound dumb because i gave it away but thats true. And btw we (argus main) combo at the very early is to Just wait in the bush near our turret, wait for our passive and then when you feel comfortable with our minions and go forward we will use 2nd skill then inspire and attack you with the basic attack after that. But if he misses his 2nd skill you can be brave and push him

another tip to counter masha. dont let her dominate her lane. if she gets any momentum and gains items,your towers are cleared within seconds. her tower dps is no joke if you let her overfarm. so you must go to her lane first and shutdown her before going to gold lane. marksmans dont really go ahead of each other if they have tanks with them. and so tips for masha users. pick her against mindless fighters like esme,balmond,argus, and thamuz. in the earlygame you might lose laning but in the lategame she can melt anyone with dps build( i dont personally like hp builds since her main purpose is to pressure towers) my build that can melt anyone solo is vampire mallet first item. corrosion-dhs-haas-goldenstaff-malefic roar-bruteforce/guardian helmet. with that build she can instaburst bases under 3 seconds

Yu Zhong can definitely beat Thamuz on level 1. His passive is just too OP in the laning phase. A skill 2 at the minion wave followed by a basic attack at the enemy will instantly give you an advantage. Edit: Ok guys lets not have an argument here. I'm saying YZ wins cause I don't go straight to Thamuz face, I just use my passive to slowly drain his HP. Anyway I respect you guys' opinion.

Yes, if you time Argus's ult last minute early game you can extend the longevity of the fight. Late game, he can basically be one shot. He has little base defensive stats and extremely squishy outside his ult. No ult means no team fight. Also , his ult breaks CC, but doesn't prevent him from staying in CC. If you stun, knock back, immobilise or prevent any damage for 4 seconds, he cannot generate any health. In theory it sounds amazing, but there's a reason he's got one of the lowest popularity % of fighter heroes in mlbb. It's a bit of a one trick, and outside this one cooldown he hasn't got much to offer. His mobility CD is one of the highest in the game, his skill 2 is a short range ability with a cast time that can be easily dodged and the damage over time only works on moving targets (moving using skills also does not trigger bleed, so fanny cables don't bleed while moving) - Australia top 10 Argus

Yon can also kill thamuz above level 4 if you’re playing exp lane yin. Poke him with skill 1 and run away with skill 2. Make sure that the skill 2 ring hits since it stuns. Do it a few times and you get a half hp thamuz. Then you can ulti him and do your combo quick. The stun from his skill 2 will prevent him from activating his ulti early which means less heal. Then use execute (battle spell) when he’s low. Did it and it works. Maybe enemy thamuz was too overconfident in his ulti.

Im a Kimmy and Argus main And the tips on your argus are very good, And also, heroes with consecutive stuns are the worst for argus (I hate Akai)

To correct from balmond: Stun doesn't cancel his 2nd skill, airborne cc or transformation cc can cancel his 2nd skill

I am masha user this video help me alot btw it is very dangerous with vengeance and tank emblem it can one shot mm or squishy hero with ez and another combo i like to use is inspire and fighter emblem strong in 1v1 if u can paly carefully and reach there back line it will be a disaster for the enemy If u can adjust to this things and protect yourself u can counter masha easily and wins against the enemy masha

14:14 In my opinion, i feel like dyrroth can handle thamuz well cus of dyrroth's lifesteal with the minions. I had one match, i used thamuz and enemy picked dyrroth and I had a really hard time dealing with him. Dyrroth's second skill can burst down thamuz easily. Dont take it too serious, this is my opinion and experience. :)

14:14 i personally won against thamuz as masha at level 1. i used inspire against his flicker. i let him damage me as i passively hit him without first skill his hp at 50% while i was at last bar. i turned on both inspire and first skill and proceeded to melt his hp i bought vampire mallet as first item

14:25 id say edith, she can clear waves fast enough to take very little damage from thamuz, and once she gets to lvl 4 trying to fight her even at a 2v1, sometimes even a 3v1, always ends in you dying, unless tge nemies have franco or kaja

I miss masha back when she got a revamp. She was so scary that you can literally one-shot squishy heroes with her ult. But now she got nerf after nerf that makes it harder to play her in early game

IMHO, thamuz baby "dyroth" ( a good one ofc) can actually stand ground against thamuz, especially after his last nerf , the physical armor reduction kicks like a mule ,and the sustain is pretty descent.

As a argus main, i cant disagree so that why i mostly use inspire and go with gold lane and I also always add demon hunter sword so that I can use its unique effect and also I always stay in the bush so if you want to counter always protect your damage dealer especially if it's a squishy hero

The hero that can bet thamuz at level 1 is freya and martis because they can fight any one at level 1 easily with they damage is so high and have more attack speed that mack them hard to fight at level 1

As a Argus main, i hav overcomed his skills that doens't require me to hit multiple times anymore With atleast 3 items, squishy heroes are easily deleted with 1st skill-2nd skill-basic atk (with inspire ofc)

i feel like masha isnt easy to counter and can 1 shot mages and mm or at least waste their frozen and wind of nature and using sprint gives her better way to chase or run but i use sprint in teamfight mostly to regen again also i like to use him as roamer from my 5 match experieces with 80% winrate

Using any sustain fighter against argus will also not work if the user uses skill to poke him early game. Pro Argus will keep on poking until the enemy is forced to recall and if they don't, argus will turret dive and kill him. Making him farm much easier

Fun fact about balmond: I was the first one who use the damage build, balmond use to be a tank that deals no damage and can be killed easily even if he has tank items he can't sustain a 1v1 can't outdamge a squishy useless tank and ofcourse because it's lifesteal era ( before) he is the easiest hero to heal from super useless hero... Then I remember I quit playing ml in 2019 then when I came back he become strong fighter lol how heroes suddenly change.

a tank brody exp laner can deal with thamuz in the laning phase. tank brody works as exp fyi

Phoveus is my go to hero when faced against Thamuz. Phoveus can exchange blows with Thamuz even at level 1 and when Phoveus reaches level 4, Thamuz wouldn't stand a chance against him.

thamiz with golden staff and dhs or any hero with dhs melts ho masha really easily.

i tried thamuz full atk build and boy does he melt anyone with his passive. but thamuz is weak against hp based dmg like dhs and ofcourse anti lifesteal effects. Sun is a good counter to Thamuz since Sun removes a lot of phy def due to his passive plus his clones can also use dhs passive which basically means Thamuz dies really fast

yu zhong can , yu zhong passive will be able to drain his hp. l main yu zhong and was being able to kill him many times . However only in early game , late game he is another monster.

Balmond will never lack damage even with full defense. Even Cursed helmet does a lot

If I‘m not mistaken Thamus can‘t regenerate by hitting a shield. He has to hit your HP bar to benefit from his lifesteal. So if I‘m not completely wrong Esmeralda is another very good pick because she has enough shield drain to sustain most of his damage with it plus she can kite him very well because of her movement speed. At least I had no problems with her fighting Thamus in any phase of the game

And also i liked the old argus more than the new one cause of his voice and also old argus can counter francos ult and Kaja

I always beat Thamuz with Hilda. Just regen in the bush and damage him whenever possible and in the end just finish with execute.

Since literally everyone does this when fighting me in high ranks might as well share it One way to counter argus is building items or using heroes with slow (Ice queen wand, or angela's annoying slow) As someone who always experience it, I swear it's so goddamn annoying probably more annoying than every tip in this video

Thamuz is weak against Clint on level 1 alone. Level 2 as well. The only thing that makes him have an advantage is close range and slowness. Both of which Clint can easily avoid. Hell, any hero can avoid his attacks at it becomes predicable

Dyroth is kind of a counter for thamuz if you have high and dry assassin emblem
